"I thought you were dead.." [P]

The breeze ruffled her sleek, deep blue coat. The small pegasus mare lifted her head as her sapphire gaze lifted among the horizon. It had been..very traumatic during the past few months. A tight feel swelled in her throat as she thought mentally of what had happened to her..the fire..the loss of her parents..heck..even the loss of her girlfriend peirced her. No, don't think of her. It's only going to make it worse. She forced the thoughts of the beautiful golden wolf away. She knew she shouldn't think of her. Goldie was dead and that was that. Dash sighed, looking back at the ground at her hooves. The only thoughts striking her now was her older brother, whom she didn't WANT to know where his lame flank was. He abandoned her already for..for that dumb mare of his. Sudden anger boiled up in her chest, lighting up like a flame. Why did SO many creatures that she loved leave her?! First her parents, mentor, brother..now lover. What comes next for me.. The exotic equine thought with dread, her blue gaze facing towards the ground as she curled her lip, her head blazing with thoughts as she was distracted upon her own terms.

Dash...i'm so sorry... she thought, as the horizon rose. She had fallen into a river and the current was strong. So strong, she in fact, nearly drowned. Her fur was still cold. Her ears were still pulsing from the river. She had managed to pull herself to shore and had tried to find her love. She spotted a Pegasus and her chest tightened in pain. She wistfully sighed as she padded over, hoping to get directions.

The mare watched as the silhouettes made it's way to her, dragging her thoughts away as her emotion changed from dread to pure suspicion. Dash's eyes suddenly narrowed. A wolf. Great, another pesky animal just to make my day totally better She thought sarcastically,
already starting to make her snappy comeback towards the dripping creature. She then realized, as the soaking dog- erm, WOLF made its way to her. It was a golden furred she-wolf..those darker markings along her back..it made the pegasus jump to her hooves, her eyes wide as she suddenly yelped out the first thing on her mind. "G..G-Goldie?!" Her raspy voice sounded shocked and with some slight sarcasm still within. A lot of emotions were running through her like a running river of water. Anger, sadness, shock, regret..she couldn't fit this all in with one swing!

She flinched slightly, but then took a closer look and her eyes widened. "Dash?..." she murmured, softly. Her purple eyes met Dash's then, out of fear from Dash going to yell at her, she looked away.

The pegasus stood in shock. She..she couldn't say anything! Many questions were roaming through her brain. Where was she? How was she here? Was she...she just a ghost in her fragment imagination? No, no way she looks too real to be. Besides if she was..why is she wet? She tried to shake away the questions. A part of her wanted to bury herself into the wolf, and cry out all of her pain that she had kept in for months. But no..she stood there..her throat tight and feeling like it was clogged up. Finally, after a moment of silence, the mare let out some words..feeling quite strained as she did so. "S..So erm..." She swallowed, looking at her again as her sapphire eyes were filled with..both pain and question. "Where have you been...all these days..I thought...I-I thought you were dead." Her voice choked, some stray tears falling out of her eyes. She shut them tightly, but they kept coming. They felt more stung than the last, and that made it worse. She felt horrible. She didn't wanna cry in front of someone she hadn't seen in well..awhile! It would make her look stupid and weak..but they kept coming and they weren't gonna stop were they?

"I was going to bring back food...but i got knocked into a river...I nearly drowned...I been eating some scraps now and then...i just wanted to get back to you...i understand if you don't want to see me..." she was about to turn away and pad off. Her heart ached after she said those words.

The pegasus, realizing what she had done, flattened her ears and looked away, pure sorrow on her face. "Please..don't leave..I..You don't know what I have been going through while you were gone.." faint memories of the burning embers surged through her mind. She remembered the soaring heat from the flames, the loud screeching of her parents. She felt hot all over. As if the fire was with them. Right. Now. Her throat clogged up again. More stinging, salty tears making their way down. Her chest was in an tight knot, and her heart was throbbing. How was she espoused to explain how she felt to her when she was in such a miserable state?

She didn't respond for a little bit, before the tight feel in her throat finally went away. "Y..Yeah. That's...that's probably for the best." Her head felt like it was pounding as she lifted herself up from her haunches. The mare casted a glance at the wet wolf, her eyes clouded with pain. "Are you sure that you could walk? You probably can but..you look like you're freezing." It was a stupid question she knew, but she had to ask. For Goldie's sake at least. As she moved her head towards the wolf's direction, faint lethal bite-marks from some sort of canid creature were visible on the back of her neck, her mane moved which made them more noticeable. Sudden fear protruded through her as she then tried to hide the marks. Did she notice? She sure hoped she didn't..

She saw the marks, but stayed silent. She couldn't quite place why she kept silent, but she figured Dash wouldn't want to tell her. She slightly felt angry. Does Dash think i'm weak? she thought, annoyed. "I'm fine, Dash."
