There was so much in this world she had to learn. Ciara kept her gaze down as Jackson, ber adoptive brother, led her down the sidewalk of the streets late at night. Why he was doing this late at night, Ciara still didn't understand. There's still so much I need to know and learn. Having woken up in a hospital bed and told she was suffering memory loss and short-term memory, trying to keep things in her head was next to impossible. How to use a fork... How to flush a toilet... How to use a TV remote... How to not burn down the house(happened twice where she almost burned down the house)... It was a nightmare for her to be alive. Crickets chirped in the grass. There were no clouds in the sky. It was calm and peaceful. Ciara liked the breeze that lightly blew on her skin. She glanced up at Jackson. He was still facing fort, walking. She looked back down. What could be want with her this late at night...?

Tears sligjtly sreaming down her face, se slowed down from her run, going into a jog. Their voices pounded in her head. "scary white, scary white..." the voices repeated. She gor stuck on some nucus in her throat and coughed, stopping for a moment, lookong down. Carrie blinked as she heard footsteps, and looked up, wipong her tears.

What if they recognized her? Her eyes widened for a moment. This fear, the fear of being made fub of again, caused her to accidentally cause an empty alcohol bottle near the walkers to shatter. She took a deep breath, ignoring it, and tried to continue walking. Hwr shoulder bumped into one, a man, it looked like. "i-im so sorry!" she choked out, a water bottle in the dumpster nearby crunching into a flat peice of plastic. She prayed they would think it would just be a coincidence...

Ciara yelped at the sound of glass shattering. Jackson stopped and looked around and hissed when a girl bumped into his shoulder. Ciara backed up, watching the girl. "H-hey! Are you ok?" Ciara called back to the girl. She didn't hear the water crunch, but Jackson did.

she shook her head, wiping her tears, the crack spreading further through the rock. "i-im fine... W-why do you ask?" she asked, shaking under the touch.

She blinked and called out quietly, before realizing it was too late. When her mother called her name, she quickly hid behind a tree, crouching, tears running down her face. "not now..."she mumbled quietly
