Vengeance-driven cats lurk around the edges of ShadowClan's border. For one reason or another, intentionally or unintentionally, they've set their sights on the Clan in the pine forest. As the Clan's leader, Dawnstar is their target - hurt her, and they'll get the one-up they want on the Clans. How to go about this? Turns out Dawnstar has a son. What better way to get back at her than through one of her children?
[Group Leader] kicks things off by organizing a group in Twolegplace, in an abandoned shed on the edge of a relatively unused Twoleg park. It's large, as far as unrelated outsider groups go. They take this opportunity to explain their goals and their motivations: invade ShadowClan, hurt Dawnstar, and prove once and for all that the Clans are not superior to the outsiders. [Group Leader] picks one cat in particular out of the crowd. This [Infiltrator] is the one in charge of worming their way into ShadowClan, figuring out how they tick, feeding information back to the group, and helping them target Dawnstar.
It's almost too easy. [Infiltrator] manages to pass through outsider joining and easily cement themselves into ShadowClan. Turns out Dawnstar has children. If they can get close to just one of them, the group already has an angle. They pick Grottopaw out of the crowd and turn on the charm. It's surprisingly easy to get close to the young tom, who usually avoids strangers and especially outsiders; a few sweet words and a couple of interactions to prove they're actually someone worth his attention, and Grottopaw has attached himself to them at the hip.
Late one night, [Infiltrator] sneaks back to Twolegplace and relays this information back to Group Leader. (As long as you're not obvious about their leaving and returning, you shouldn't need Under Your Nose for this, since this entire thing has been discussed with Undertaker). They organize an ambush, set at noon at the Outskirts border, and [Infiltrator] returns to camp unnoticed. [Group Leader] assigns 2-3 [Ambushers] to wait at the location discussed.
The next day, [Infiltrator] asks Grottopaw and [ShadowClan Warrior] out on an impromptu hunting patrol. They head to Mourning Ruins, unassuming, until [Ambushers] emerge from where they've been laying in wait. [ShadowClan Warrior] is brutally murdered in the blink of an eye trying to protect Grottopaw when one of them go for him first. He turns to [Infiltrator], expecting protection, only to be hit hard enough over the head to knock him unconscious. [Ambushers] haul him back to their hideout at the park.
Instead of going to the hideout with the ambushers, [Infiltrator] returns to camp and reports immediately back to Dawnstar. Their plan to relay the information regarding her son and get her to beg for his swift return is cut short - she slaughters them on the spot. A few patrols are organized to go to search the territory and track down the scent trail. One of them finds it and the scene of the crime, and all three regroup to follow it. It leads them to the partially abandoned storage shed near the outer edges of the park. The patrol that is led by Dawnstar enters, while the other two remain planted outside, prepared for a fight. Grottopaw is being held inside, visible to their view and a little roughed-up, and clearly isn't in a good spot for a full-blown battle.
A dog-walker appears nearby in the park with a couple of dogs in tow. Worrying about drawing attention, a deal is struck without a fight: Group Leader wants a part of ShC's territory for Grottopaw, and they'll only hand her kid over once they've secured it. Begrudgingly, Dawnstar relents. A time is set to meet at the border that evening. Uncomfortable with leaving Grottopaw alone any longer, Dawnstar assigns either an Enforcer or Mistlewhisker to stay with the group to make sure he's not messed with. She returns to ShadowClan with the patrols in tow, and she lays out her plan to ambush the group once they've been tricked into entering ShC's home turf.
The entire outsider group shows up at the border at the time set to meet, and they have Grottopaw with them. Dawnstar & whoever she chooses to stand with her leads them to their "new territory", where several other patrols are in waiting. [Group Leader], satisfied, hands Grottopaw over. Once he's secured and out of harm's way, the attack is launched.
[Group Leader] is killed, as is most of the group itself. If any of them do end up managing to get out alive, they remain nearby to cause trouble around the territory until Dawnstar eventually hunts them down.
Role Descriptions Group Leader
Heads the group, for all intents and purposes; NOT considered a High Rank but should be able to keep track of what their group-members are doing.
Preferably an ex-ShadowClan cat who has been exiled in-character for extra flavor and revenge motivation, but not required.
Shouldn't slack on posts to the point of dragging interactions out, this is meant to be fast-paced; if things start slowing down or you drop off the face of the earth I reserve the right to replace you.

Infiltrator
Will wriggle their way into ShadowClan and befriend Grottopaw with the purpose of later betraying him; should be capable of actually getting past Dawnstar and into the Clan to befriend Grotto, Silver Tongue T1 with a base charismatic/sly disposition may help you out on this one.
Shouldn't slack on posts to the point of dragging interactions out, this is meant to be fast-paced; if things start slowing down or you drop off the face of the earth I reserve the right to replace you or move things along as needed.

Group Members
Applications are unlimited, but in total I'll be accepting 9 characters (leaving a slot for myself so I can keep an insider's eye on how things are moving). 1 of these will be the group's leader, 1 will be the infiltrator, and 2-3 more will end up being the Ambushers that wrangle Grotto back to their hideout. This group size has been approved by staff.
Consistent and decent activity preferred!
New or existing outsider characters welcome; would be neat to see some former Clan cats who left out of general dissatisfaction or were exiled in-character looking for revenge.
HIGHLY LIKELY that most of these will die in the final showdown so that the group disbands, so be aware of this! Don't apply a character if you aren't okay with them perishing.

Can the purrk “Death Defier” be used to get around the death thing?
Death Defier is intended specifically for HR kills triggered by problem-causers and can only be purchased once per member. Death is a requirement for the Group Leader and the Infiltrator, as it has been stated in the post. The Infiltrator is murdered for betrayal to ShC and for kidnapping Dawnstar's son. The Group Leader dies to kickstart the permanent disbanding of the group. Not all group members will die, but most should to drive the point home. If you trigger a HR kill for a regular group member who survives up until a later point, then it could, but it shouldn't apply to characters who take up the Group Leader or Infiltrator roles because these are required deaths for plot purposes.

Personality:
This feline is often stuck in a very serious mood, she is usually hard to impress or befriend, though once Velvet likes someone she treats them like family. It is often seen as unforgiving and cruel, which can be true in most cases HOWEVER she is quite the opposite when it comes to her friends or family.
Vel is very protective and can be seen as "keen on revenge", while the clans have never done anything wrong to it directly, she still dislikes them for outcasting her friends.
Appearance:
Velvet is a large black forest cat with a blue-ish gray face and paws. It's eyes are a soft green and It has protruding fangs, as well as a slit-shaped scar along their muzzle. She has white speckles thrown into her blue tabby markings.
Extra RP notes:
Velvet escaped from her two-leg den at about 5 moons and has been an outsider since. Death is fine for Vel as she was created only for this plot, but I also wouldn't mind keeping her alive if she has no important roles.

Personality Overview: When he was young, Bolt was known as sweet and caring. His parents were the complete opposite, and forced him to do the things that he didn't want to, like kill or capture cats. He eventually ended up capturing a cat that he fell in love with, and he was devastated when his parents killed her. He turned overprotective and somewhat mean. He was so depressed that he found killing natural and he joined this group.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW
A decieving cat, Butterfly is not who she seems. She pretends to be someone else and is an impulsive liar. She loves twisting the truth, pretending she is safe, a protector. Using these lies, she tricks cats into trusting her. She's extremely bloodthirsty and she would rather let her friends die before letting go of a plan she's plotted for ages. A good pretender, but a bad person at caring. If someone cares for her, good for them! She does not care. Give up.
APPEARANCE
A white, ginger and grey calico with butterfly-like markings. Light green eyes and a slim body. Sharp claws, blunt teeth and dirty paws. Probably dirt. Definitely dirt. Not blood.
FORMER CLAN
WindClan. For a bit. She was born there, but when she became an apprentice she cracked under the pressure of trying to listen to others and left in the night, abandoning her name and living alone. She belives in StarClan and the Dark Forest but doesn't like the clans. She wasn't exiled. Just someone who didn't fit with the normality of big groups. She sticks with the small group of nine to sustain herself.

Gender/Pronouns: Tom, he/him
Personality overview: He's always causing trouble, but the minute it gets bad, he's off, running from the consequences. It got so bad that he almost got his whole family killed by a pack of dogs. So they kicked him out. He wandered the streets for a while, growing harder and more aggressive, but still prioritising his safety over anyone else's. Eventually, he found this group. They gave him a more developed sense of loyalty, ad he will do anything for [group leader]. Except sacrifice his life.
