Tragedy is a monster to say the very least, he's mutilated kits, crushed apprentices and eaten the flesh of his enemies, all with a charming smile on his maw. So? What's in it for you?
Training.
Tragedy will teach your cat every deadly attack he knows- for a small price of course. Your blood. See? simple as that. What's the harm?
What? He Isnt trying to break the wall od the living and the dead.

Shadowpaw of Shadowclan has a delightful budding power with the dreamscape, it just if someone could mold this power... Point her to bring down cats, make her afraid enough to do it without asking, and leave a warm meal for a wicked spirit... Hm... If only a Dark forest cat would see how easy she is to manipulate... Well wouldn't that just be a lovely time?
Poor fish has been trying to traumatize this gal but...
