Lightningpaw finds a prize! (Private)

Lightningpaw, Rabbitpaw, and Vinesmoke had reached the camp again after a trip to the tunnels. Lightningpaw had uncharacteristically willingly gotten dirty after learning that there were stones in the tunnels after exhausting all his options on the top side of the Windclan Territory and instead went searching in the tunnels and he was glad he did in a cavern that was close enough to the surface to have a crack that let light through Lightningpaw found the perfect fetch! It was a rainbow stone with all the colors Lightningpaw found it to be the best rock he had found it had Barleypaw's name all over it! Thus Lightningpaw was most definitely going to present it to her. But before that... Lightningpaw would go to cleaning his pelt he hated the dirt clumped on his fur and wanted to be presentable again once that was done though having all that dirt in his mouth now made it dry he found a water puddle in the clearing and lapped at it drinking the refreshing moisture. He was now ready. Lightningpaw would pad back to the rainbow stone and pick it up his yellow eyes searching for Barleypaw till he saw her sunbathing outside of the Apprentices den Lightningpaw would walk towards her. He would pad forward and put the stone down and look back at Barleypaw. His chest would flutter when he saw her causing his ear to flick as he tried to understand why but instead he would speak. "H-hey Barleypaw I have something for you. I had Vinesmoke and Rabbitpaw help me we went into the tunnels to find it. It's a stone. Not just any stone it's the most incredible thing I've ever seen it has so many different colors in it! I just had to get it for you." Lightningpaw would meow as he picked it back up to bring it closer to her setting it down in front of her. @Madelaine

Not really doing really anything with the new rule in place the molly was just sat out enjoying the sun until somebody said they needed her for anything. Usually they didn't, but she was always prepared in case of anything. Barleypaw began to close her eyes to soak in the sun when she heard the sounds of pawsteps move towards her. Lightningpaw's scent filled her nose. She moved her head in the direction of his voice.

A rock? For her? The apprentice popped up, sitting down with her tail around her paws. A Rainbow stone? It sounded really cool. She may not be able to see it, but she could feel how hard he worked to get it for her.

"It sounds absolutely lovely. Thank you.", she replied. Barleypaw touched it with her paw to get a feel for it. It rolled right close to her and her chest vibrated as she purred. She gently touched her nose to his cheek before moving back a bit. "I love it and I'll cherish it for an eternity.", she added.

The stone would be very smooth making it easy for Barleypaw to run their paw over. Lightningpaw heart skipped a beat when Barleypaw rubbed against his cheek and he would look down at his paws when she pulled back. 'There's that odd flutter feeling again.. Could this be what some call a crush?' Lightningpaw thought shifting his paws awkwardly trying to get that feeling to dissipate. "Hey Barleypaw... umm... how would you feel if I told you I think I... well I think I like you." Lightningpaw would mumble unable to say it all that loud. He hoped Barleypaw heard it cause he wasn't sure if he could repeat it again. Lightningpaw's whiskers sort of shivered at the anticipation of Barleypaw's answer. @Madelaine (Sorry it took so long wanted to make sure admitting to a crush wasn't against no Apprentice Romance rules.)

Barleypaw felt awkward after pulling back. What if she made him uncomfortable. With the short silence she thought maybe she had, but then he said something. He liked her? As in a crush? She forced the nervousness away refusing to show it. Last thing she wanted was to scare him off. She really didn't have any other cat. Her heart began to beat faster and faster. What was this feeling? She liked him to. "I really like you too.", she replied. Barleypaw didn't know what else to say. Instead she settled down, letting out a light purr. This was the first time she realized she had a crush on him too. She felt good, but scared. This was the first.

Lightningpaw's tail couldn't help but twitch excitedly. "Really!" Lightningpaw would meow loudly happy that his crush also liked him back. Lightningpaw would lay next to her and would add. "I'm so happy. Thank you Barleypaw." Lightningpaw purred. @Madelaine

It was a weird feeling, but not a bad one. She'd get used to it once they were warriors, but for now she knew she needed to focus on her training. This was her motivation to become a warrior soon. She didn't say anything just lived there in the moment.
