(I've had this idea for about a year-- last summer I travelled to Europe for artsy purposes and discovered just how many cats roam around old cities-- including places like Kotor. Even more, I was able to visit an island off the coast of Mykonos called Delos, who's only population is some security, a few archaeologists, and so many cats, along with a bunch of giant spiders but that's not really desirable. They're all really friendly, I assume because they get most their food and water from tourists. A lot had clipped ears from TNR, so they had vaccines and such, but most were without and I even found a mama cat and got water for her and her kittens. ANYWAY that is what prompted this roleplay!)

The no-furs used to rule this place, they built these big structures to house themselves and these pits to store clean water. They fed us and treated us with great care, allowing us to roam as we wished and made sure we were never hurt.

But the no-furs were not without fault. They fought amongst themselves and eventually left this place to us, dilapidated and devoid of food. We had to learn to survive without the no-furs, they never returned. Sometimes a few will visit, but we are no longer acquainted with them. We will no longer allow ourselves to rely on the kindness of bipedal beings. We are proud to call ourselves a clan.

These are cats that live in the ruins of an old human town. The areas are loosely based off of what inspired this; Delos
