Running Away — Part 1

Bushpaw has been feeling somewhat out of place lately. Not only has he been lacking training, but also understanding. If nothing else, the dark brown cat is known for his... temper. Feeling unusually lost and upset this past moon, like a weight in his chest not letting up, he’s decided to run away.

Beyond the territories and on his own. At least for a bit. So he can learn to survive, grow. Maybe even find some cat who understands him.

What’s the first place that comes to mind? Why, Twolegplace of course.

Off he goes, and wanders an entire day before finding it. Fences and smooth walls greet him, but he spends one more night in the wild. However, his plans are thwarted when [kittypet] wakes him up just before dawn. Eyes wide, [kittypet] asks where he’s from and who he belongs to.

Now, Bushpaw — or Bush, as he’ll call himself — is more than happy to tell this soft kittypet about the wild. In the end, [kittypet] isn’t impressed with him, laughs, and hops over a fence.

This leaves Bushpaw reeling, unable to even spit out a response. It seems he has a lot to learn.

Principled // strong-willed // maybe a bit arrogant, kind // soft // sweet // when you get past her haughty exterior. Jet thinks her way of life is the best way of life. Her younger sister Ember used to have delusions of being a 'free cat,' whatever that meant, and it ended up tearing their little family apart. So therefore Jet is particularly against the idea of a cat ever leaving their twoleg. (Perhaps some of her strong stance can be attributed to the fact that Jet doesn't quite know what independence would be like, and it secretly intrigues her, so she must overcompensate in being vocal against such things.) She doesn't believe in the silly fairy tales of cats living beyond the care of their humans. She feels pity for the loners who stalk about, the cats with empty looks in their eyes who don't belong anywhere at all.

he's not fat, just fluffy! except he's wrong and he's just in denial. SSTOVEE is a ... slightly larger than average, fluffy dark-gray male with very puny muscles. his tail is short and stubby, although certainly as fluffy as the rest of him. SSTOVEE sports bright, yellow-lime eyes and a round face with gray features; a dark gray nose, light gray patches of fur right above his nose and around his muzzle, and gray tufts of fur decorating his ears. his paws are of an average size, although they look small in comparison to his torso.
