Protecting Our Borders[Event]

A bit nervous after the embarrassment that had been the clan meeting, Splashleap looked quickly around the clearing. Kestrelstar had said she was organizing the seashell border, protection, whatever you wanted to call it, and she wasn't sure quite how to go about it. Assigning patrols was an option of course, but they never seemed to get done. Some cats did them of course, but others seemed not to care beyond their own bellies. She would have to start making notes of those who didn't show. Both to make sure Kestrelstar knew, and to make sure they weren't trusted with important tasks.

So instead, she decided volunteers might be the way to go. If it didn't work, she could always assign cats to the tasks. Although she would probably have died of embarrassment before she got the chance. Humiliating herself twice in front of the clan in one day was something she hadn't managed yet, and had no intention of doing. Although she hadn't meant to do it the first time. It had just.....happened, she got up there and her brain emptied completely of all intelligent thought. It had been quite unfortunate, but now she had to focus.

Looking quickly around, most of the clan was still int he clearing from the meeting, Splashleap raised her voice to carry.Warriors and Apprentices! she called, looking around to see if she had their attention. Anyone who is willing to help fortify our camp and territory, please gather near me. Hopefully there would be enough cats willing to help out for it to get done in a timely manner. Kits, if you want to help wait here, and when we return with shells you can help weave them into the den walls. Once the warriors and apprentices were gathered, they could start heading to Lionsbeach, but she wanted to get some semblance of a headcount first.

Bouncing on over in an upbeat mood as always, Olivenose flashed a smile at the deputy. "Well hiya Splashleap! I love shells, and I know a few good spots - I can definitely help!" she purred with a wave of her tail. Oh boy, this was going to be so much fun! She could barely contain the excitement in her paws as they tapped the ground before her, a small hum coming from her maw.

Wandering out of the nursery, blue eyes eager, Slatekit squinted against the harsh light of camp. She'd been sleeping for a majority of the meeting, but caught the tail end of it. Seashells? That sounded... dangerously fun! "Frozenkit! Petuniakit! Shatteredkit! Snowykit! Get your hides out here it's time for seashell hunting!" the young molly snapped, dancing around gleefully before dashing right up to Splashleap's legs, looking up at her as her short fur fluffed out. "My siblings and I can collect seashells for you!" she informed her, bouncing up and down.

Petuniakit ran over with the other kits with excitement. She wanted to him! She wanted to help. Maybe her daddy could help too. She looked around for Blizzardsky or even her mother. It took her a while to see Heronflight pad over to her. After a while Petuniakit saw on e of her siblings and ran over.

Heronflight was at her full strength and wanted to help her clan the best, so she padded over to her daughter. She gave Petuniakit a smile. Maybe she could watch the kits to make sure they didn't get into trouble or more so make sure Petuniakit didn't get in trouble.

The deputy holding an event? There was something new everyday. Darksun silently padded over, giving Splashleap a smile. "I can lead a patrol down with you, Splashleap. It would be better if we could get a few patrols, maybe two or three, when we get enough cats.
