Surrogate for HoundRain!

Hello! So as some of you may or may not know, Houndspirit and Rainhound have become mates. The two of them will have a talk about their future very soon, and they will decide that they want to have kits. Now, since both of them are AFAB, that won’t be possible without a surrogate. So we’re looking for an AMAB cat to be their surrogate. Poppy and I have decided that Rainhound will carry the kits. These characters are very dear to us both, so we won’t just be selecting any cat to be their surrogate. The three will have to talk IC first so that we know they’re the right cat. Houndspirit and Rainhound will probably raise their kits themselves, so the surrogate won’t be too active in the kits lives, but the kits will know who is their biological father and of course he can meet them from time to time. In the end, you can make the decision of wether the surrogate is close to them or not.

Now, there are a few requirements that you should look at before applying to this finder.

( Requirements )
- The surrogate needs to be AMAB. The current gender doesn’t matter.
- The surrogate should be relatively young, I’d say 25 moons is the maximum age because Rainhound is very young herself. However, they should be at least 14 moons.
- Houndspirit and Rainhound don’t want their kits growing up with an evil biological father. This cat should be relatively friendly and kind.
- Wether cats applied for this finder already exist or are made for this doesn’t matter. Poppy and I will look over every form, regardless of wether the character already exists in roleplay or will be made because of this finder.
- I suppose that the surrogate could be a throwaway character, but they shouldn’t be killed or shelved directly after the kit’s birth.
- Wether they stay active and involved in the kits lives is your choice, but Houndspirit and Rainhound will be reffered to as the kittens parents. While the kits will know about the surrogate being their biological father, they’ll grow up with Houndspirit and Rainhound as their parents and would probably refer to the surrogate as a close friend/relative.
- This one is pretty obvious, but the surrogate must be in ThunderClan.

There is no form, but make sure to tell us about your character (personality, age, looks, etc.)! In addition, please tell us if the surrogate would stay close to the kits or not. Make sure to mention poppy ( @poppy. ) and me ( @starry ) in your post, or we might miss it.

@starry @poppy. may I offer you ✨Fireflyheart✨ A introverted 24 moon old AMAB who would be involved in the kits lives only because he would feel guilty if he didn't otherwise. Also he is a nervous wreck. Would crack a dad joke though, regret it afterwards.

May I offer up Batblood for this task.

Apperence

Body Type: Batblood wasn't born too much above average weight, and his body type falls more on lean and slender rather than big and bulky, with long and sturdy limbs and a long and sleek tail, but he has also built up quite a bit of muscle during his upbringing, not to the point of looking overly buff, but they do show through his fur sometimes. His ears are rather long and pointed, with small tufts at the tips.

Fur Type: Mainly sleek and a bit glossy. You wouldn't be able to say it's soft if you touched it, and it can actually feel a bit rough if you drag your hand over it in the wrong direction. His pelt is very thick and dense, which is why he prefers to stay in the shadows in the warmer part of the year. He also likes to keep it well-groomed as not to let say rainwater seep in quite as easily, plus it helps him look more healthy, and like he would be a bigger threat, so maybe don't mess with him.

Fur Coloring: If you had to assign him a breed based on the color and markings of his fur, he would be a black Bengal. Batblood is in fact a mix of a few different breeds, but his fur is dark, basically black looking, with dynamic splotches and spots over his backside. At his belly and muzzle the black color shifts into a lighter grey color with a hint of brown.

Eye Details/Coloring: Usually his eyes have a light yellow, occasionally amber coloring, but it happens that they in ceratin lighting can appear more yellowish-green with specks of a golden hue.

Other details: His ears have small tufts on their tips.



Pros for picking Batblood
- He, Rain, and Hound were all made warriors at the same meeting after the Firefly Cove take-back battle; fun story to tell your kiddos
- He is the youngest Keeper, so the kits are legally allowed to have bragging rights over that
- He doesn't have any mates or love interests, and no one would get jealous so what happened to batblood's parents wouldn't happen to rain and hound
- He has a cool-sounding name
- Very pretty fur patterns and a cool eye-color
- He's 17, so a decent age



Cons for picking Batblood
- Mixed blood, he is only about 50% thc from his mother, and blood from almost all the other clans as well as outsiders on his father's side
- His sarcasm might be genetic



Batblood as a bio father
He wouldn't want to be called a father, and would likely not be too involved with their lives, with a few exceptions; He would pop in a bit after their birth to see how they looked and hear the name (curiosity), and he might distantly keep an eye on them, not like in a 'hey, they are mind too' but more 'ok people kinda associate me with them, so dont mess them up'. Other than maybe keeping them from sucking too much by a lesson or two during their apprenticeship, he wouldn't really be involved too much

He already has a decently positive opinion on Rain, and while he doesn't know Hound, he is somewhat curious about her after she died and came back. But she doesn't hate either of them or find them annoying, which is already better than most actually.

I can offer up Sungaze!

Sungaze is an AMAB cat that is about 25 moons old. He is a rather kind cat, and is willing to help those in need of that are in the clan. They are highly protective of those who they care about.

Sungaze appearance wise is a dark grey tabby, with only a little bit of white spotting on muzzle area. He has yellowish-orange colored eyes. His fur is a medium length and is rather easy to keep care of.

He would want to stay in the kits life, simply because they do care for kits a lot. They would make sure to be that fun uncle that would just slightly spoil the kits with tips before they become apprentices.

I'll offer Cloudspots up for your consideration!

Cloudspots is a slender gray tom with white splotches and deep blue eyes. He has a harsh scar across the top of his left paw. He's a quiet, kind cat with a near infinite amount of patience. He is very sensitive to betrayal and to cats with sharp tongues. He takes promises very seriously; as such, a cat will have a hard time earning his trust back. He loves ThunderClan, but doesn't believe that relationships between cats of different Clans is as bad as some cats make it out to be.

He would definitely remain in his kits' lives, as much or as little as the mothers wanted him to be. He'd love to have the chance to have an influence on his kits, but will readily respect it if the mothers decide they don't want him to play a role. His near infinite amount of patience would be great for young cats, and he can be quite goofy as well.
