Claws Out For Justice [Open for Warriors and Some Apprentices]

Hello everyone! I have permission from ( @canineantics ) to have Slatestripe host an event for cats of RiverClan to practice their battle skills. This is in light of the rogue issue going on. All warriors and any apprentices with existing battle training may participate.

Slatestripe padded out of the warriors’ den. It wasn’t misting out, which was nice. Just cloudy today. He shook out his fur. His Clan had spent the past several days mourning Slatewhisker. Now, it was time to shift their focus to preparing more adequately for this rogue issue.

“Cats of RiverClan!” he yowled. “I invite you to join me today for a refresher on battle training. Our rogue problem has grown insurmountable as of late, and we must prepare ourselves to tackle it head on. All warriors and any apprentices with existing battle training may join. Please join me if you’re interested, and after a little while to let everyone arrive, we’ll depart for the beach. Attendance has not been mandated by Pikestar, but everyone eligible is strongly encouraged to participate! Reedwhisker and Storksong will be my assistants, so you may also seek them out with any issues or questions.”

The tom brightened up, he hadn't gotten any official training yet because he was still so newly apprenticed, but felt this might help. At least if he were aloud.

Hazelspring blinked slowly. He wasn't too big a fan of crowded areas, especially with cats he rarely interacted... But still, it would be good to receive some more training. The small tom wandered over and waited for Slatestripe's next words.

With all the attacks that have been happening recently, Reedwhisker had began worrying for her Clan, which is why she had offered to help Slatestripe run his event. Storksong had volunteered too, so this event would definitely be interesting. Already, a few warriors have come as well as an apprentice. So far, the event was attracting a lot of the Clan's attention. Good. The more we have participating, the better our odds will be in a fight against unwelcome visitors. Finally reaching Slatestripe, the dark brown she-cat sat down to his left, leaving a spot open for Storksong on Slatestripe's right or Reedwhisker's right.

"If there are any kits, we request that you do not participate. Warriors and apprentices who are learning how to battle or wish to know how to battle are welcome!" she announced, scanning the small, gathering crowd for any kits trying to be sneaky. Luckily, there were none so far. Good.

Buckspark heard the commotion from the warriors dena bd padded out with a large stretch at the end. His yellow eyes looked around then stopped at Slatestripe, the tom announcing a battle training regiment to the clan. Buckspark shook out his short fur as he nodded in agreement. He decided to take part quietly, since he did not want to inturupt the cats. He would follow them to the beach and do what he can from there on. He just became a warrior about a season ago, so he was still a bit rusty on his skills. A battle training like this would inspire him.

Slatestripe was glad to see Reedwhisker quickly join the assembling group. There was still no sign of Storksong, but hopefully they’d show up soon. He figured he’d given cats enough time to gather around him for this event. If anyone else wished to join, they’d have to catch up.

“Okay everyone!” he called. “Let’s set out for the beach. Once we’re there, I’ll go over what exactly we’ll be doing and we can get started. Make sure you don’t fall behind!”

With that, he bounded toward the camp exit, beckoning for everyone to follow him.

( If anyone wishes to have their cat join and they haven’t already, you may have them catch up with the group! I’ll give everyone about another day to join if they haven’t yet.)

Rainglow had only just now noticed his brother holding an event. The thick furred grey tom quickly shuffled over, catching up with Slatestripe and the other cats as they reached the exit of camp. He bounded over to stand next to Slatestripe and asked, "What's going on?"
