It's been a while.

Well the long and the short of it is Petal is having kits.

Who is Petal?
Great question.

*Deep breath*

Many moons ago, Elmshadow met Goldenstep and they fell in love. They had 2 litters together but after the second, Goldenstep realized her worth and left Elmshadow and Shadowclan. Alone in the outskirts with her apprentice-aged first litter and practically newborn second litter, Goldenstep ends up being killed, one of the older sisters returns to Shadowclan, then the other older sister dies. Petalkit is left alone in a dangerous world. She more or less forgets everything about her early kithood, having vague memories of having had a loving mother once, takes the name Petal and struggles to survive. She bands up with a couple of rogues intent on making trouble for the clans but they teach her to hunt and fight and survive. She goes on like this for moons, her only goal in life to survive to the next sunrise. And then she begins meeting a friendly Thunderclan apprentice. They become fast friends but Petal never stays in one place long. Moons later, they meet again. The thunderclan apprentice is now a warrior and the meeting is a tense one. Her band of rogues is picking a fight with a Thunderclan patrol. At the last moment, Petal makes her allegiances known when she turns on her band of rogues, causing the death of one. Following this encounter, she is permitted a place among Thunderclan as Petalflight. She never fits well in the clan life, only ever connecting with her one friend.

And then she meets Pignut, a charming Windclan warrior who seems to question clan customs as much as she does, finally a kindred spirit. The planned meetings at the border grow easier and closer...until they are discovered by the jealous long-time loyal friend of Petalflight. A fight ensues leaving the Thunderclanner dead and Petalflight the primary suspect. She begs Pignut to flee and it'll be the last either ever sees of the other. For her silence in not exposing the Windclanner who killed their clanmate, Petalflight is exiled from Thunderclan.

Back in the outskirts. But this time is different. She feels off, usually sick, tired, and slow. The answers to her ailment come suddenly as she desperately tries to get herself to hunt when a pain shoots through her and she instinctively knows she needs to find cover. She dips into a nearby den, the pain and panic clouding her senses, and she stumbles upon a young, starving fox cub. Having no idea what to do, she wards off the weak cub but collapses in a corner of the den and begins kitting.

She has 3 kits - Fox, Tod, and Vixen. Having starved for multiple days leading up to the kitting, she doesn't have the energy to move the kits but rather gives her last energy continuously warding off the young cub. Luckily, it seems the mother has been gone for quite some time and doesn't seem to be returning. Until, days later, the cub succumbs to its starvation and thus gifts Petal with food to hold her over until she can regain her strength and hunt again.

Petal's Motherhood Resume
Obviously not great. She has no experience with kits or mothering. She's anti-talkative, anti-social, anti-anything that will inhibit her own means of survival. She didn't realize she was even pregnant until the day she kitted. She's a fierce fighter and survivor but will likely have little concept of just how helpless kits are so they may be mildly neglected, though not from a lack of love; she's just not the caring, emotional type and she has no idea.

Pignut's Fatherhood Role
Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Petal, her love and father of her kits died some time after her exile. He helped his clan as valiantly as he could through the fire and rogue attacks but then was killed by a hawk attacking his border patrol.

Logistics
The kits will be born this week (whether I have RPers or not)
They'll age 1 moon every 2 weeks until 6 moons old
Their appearance and personalities will be up to the RPer
- 1st born: Fox - male
- 2nd born: Tod - male
- 3rd born: Vixen - female
Their paths in life are completely up to you, including if they venture off away from her, even before they are old enough, to join other loners or a clan or become a kittypet, etc.
My only request is to please only apply if you're truly planning on being dedicated to taking this character somewhere. They can die early but I'd prefer if they lived some sort of story. I enjoy seeing where Elmshadow's kin end up going.

I love it! I'll take Vixen! I'll make her dark ginger she-kit with green eyes and white paws. She's very sweet and kind, and loves her momma more then anything. She wants nothing more then to grow up to be just like her.

I'll take Fox. He'll be a spotted red tom with green eyes. Fox will be a independent, mature and very intelligent kit who will be fiercely protective of anycat that he's close to. He'll always put his needs and wants last. He will be very determined to do the right thing and will be stubborn sometimes. He'll be a bit of a loner. He'll always listen and will love learning. He'll be very compassionate. Fox will love everycat. He will hate when cats are mean to other cats and if he see that happening he will tell the cat being mean off before comforting the victim. Fox will be a natural leader. He will be very helpful. Fox will be willing to risk his life for a complete stranger. He will always try his best. He will comfort anycat who needs it and will hide his emotions from everycat, no matter how close he is to them. He will love adventure. He will be very empathic. He will probably leave his mother at around 6 moons old. Fox will probably become a loner after leaving his mother, likely living alone until he finds a mate. @Pitou

Vixen is a lot like her mother, but she does not care about others. At all. Her siblings, in her opinions, are just mousebrains and eaters of foxdung. Despite her family, she prefers to keep to herself. She dislikes her siblings - no matter what - and she laughs at them when they do something stupid or they get hurt. Other than that, she is a proper lady and expects to be treated as such(i.e. she is arrogant). She may be small, but she is strong.

A small red-and-black furred she-cat with bright green eyes, she is the smallest and most odd-looking in the litter.

I can see Vixen joining WindClan or something when she's young-warrior-aged - either that, or the young lady finds a tom in the outsiders that treats her like she deserves.

A she-kit with the colors of orange, white and black; A calico. Like her mother. Her eyes the color of yellow-green heterochromia. She's small sized...but her determination and ambitions aren't. She would do almost anything to acomplish something. She does have some interest in the clans as soon as she heard some things about them. Though she doesn't really wan't to join. She...likes her outsider life. She wants to discover new things and having fun from it. She'll want to adventure.

Detailed

A small sized Calico she-cat with a (kinda) fluffy tail. Her eyes are a yellow(left)-green(right) heterochromia. Since she's a calico, her pelt is orange, white, and black colored. She try to keep her fur clean most of the time, though sometimes she fails at doing so; which means sometimes her fur can be a bit dirtier. Her tail ends in a white tip, kinda like a fox(?). Vixen's legs are mostly orange with black "socks"; Which kinda resembles a fox...in a way.

She's ambitious and determined; if she has a goal in need of completion, she'll try her best to. No matter what. And she won't be afraid of much either; she'll be brave! She's not the great leader-type...but she'll try to. Though...would another cat be able to think of her as a bit selfish, in a way..? Well...maybe; Though on the inside, she's really trying to be a good cat who's able to complete her goals and to not be a failure (and prove herself to be one of the best). She doesn't often show it, but she has some anxiety about possibly being on the more useless side as well.

She really does care for her family; the cats she grew up with. She didn't have many friends so even if she cares about her goals; she cares about her family as well. In the end, Even though she's ambitious and isn't afraid to face dangers..in the very end, she really does know when to stop.

Fox was given yips name because of their looks.
Yip uses yip / yipself pronouns, but as a young kit, yip will be referred to as he / him.
Yip will have plans to "save them all" by taking all of them to a Clan.
Yip has a bold and outgoing sort of personality.
Yip is quite strong for his age.
If yip makes it into a clan, and dies, I have a reincarnation Purrk which is unused.

A russet molly with amber eyes. Her fur is very fluffy, which often gets it tangled. She doesn't really groom herself, and only does so if she needs to. Her green eyes are very sharp, and she is quick on her paws, which are black. Her black can be seen on her chest, paws, ear fluff, and tailtip. She also has several spots on her forehead.

Personality
Vixen is the most mischievous of the kit. She likes to wander, and pull sick pranks. She doesn't care about anything - Or anyone but her mother and siblings. Sure she teases her brothers, but if anycat dare say something rude or lay a claw on them.... They better sleep with one eye open. She is a very carefree cat, who often does not care where she goes.

A dark copper cat with poofy fur. He is the smallest and the runt of the litter, often making him look like a ball of fluff. His ears are bent and lay on his head, but will flop up when he moves. He tumbles a lot, due to him having a stubby tail, and a gait that makes him trip a lot. When he gets older, one of his ear will cover his eye

Personality
Tod is a very playful kit who tumbles around a lot. He cries a lot, mainly when he falls. He loves playing games, mainly ones that involve 'roleplaying' [ex. Pretending to fight Rouges], and always wants to be the good guy. I plan on getting him herbal knowledge and Monkey's paw when he gets older [if i get him, that is]. Overall, tod is a fluffball who tumbles a lot

Pretty muscular gray tom with dark green eyes. Quite a bit taller than average, though slim, with kinda freakily long legs(think maned wolf I guess) and long, brownish claws. His chest fur is a bit darker and extremities lighten slightly. His fur is unkept, and will eventually be really matted and crazy looking. His ears will probably be pretty tattered,

Intelligent - Motivated - Curious - Singleminded - Analytical - Detached - Unsympathetic - Manipulative

Everyone great starts from a humble beginning, and Tod is no exception. He isn’t much different from his brother and sister, equally content to play mossball and playfight. He might be a bit more serious, a bit more strategic, a bit more calculated, but that isn’t much. He’s still a kit after all. He has a decent sense of humor, and while he doesn’t form the tightest of bonds with his family, he cares for them. He’s sort of….aware of his existence in a broader sense, as a member of the ecosystem and someone who will eventually die, which is sorta weird, and he doesn’t have(and never learns) how to not say what’s on his mind, but he doesn’t think creepy thoughts too often, at first. He’s kinda funny, although his sense of humor will get warped as he ages.

As he grows, he channels his drive and energy into a brilliant ability to hunt, and a decent, if unscrupulous, method of fighting. Until he hits a midlife crisis of sorts, between 10 and 15 moons old. What does he do now? And then, eureka. In the form of a dead body, but that’s just details. A cat killed by a fox, which he dispatches, and then studies. Until they decompose, he learns all he can about their structures and tendons and bones, even their brains. He doesn’t know much, but what he does know only drives him to learn more.

He starts killing prey to dissect, then larger animals. He knows basics, what applies to all mammals, but he still wants to know more. He may kill cats, he may find dead ones, I don’t really know from here. I just want him to be a mad scientist type dude, who lives somewhere creepy and remote in a den full of skulls and whatnot. @Pitou
