"The Ballad of Blood" - Riverclan Hunting Event!

I know a few of you may be wondering why the heck there's two hunting events, which is reasonable, but this event has been in the works for two days, and I've gotten the okay from Tal a few days before the other one got published. But of course, more prey is more prey! So, two events is fine :3

It was getting colder, that was a fact. Since leaf-bare seemed to be racing to catch up with them this year, they'd just have to be swifter and faster. So, the long furred tabby emerged from the warriors den, her fur thick and matted as she padded on rocky ground. She paused before taking her place on the Skyridge, holding herself high against the winds. Yeah, their breezes were certainly getting cocky, but Owltalon had been through worse weather.

"Riverclan! Listen up!" She yowled, looking directly at any cats who may be sitting in the clearing or looking up at her from mere interest alone. She offered her clan a determined smile before continuing.

"'M sure we're all aware of how cold the weather 'as gotten," she definitely was, and her fur was pretty thick. She calculated that at least a few more weeks would have to come and go before any serious wind came to nip at them, but the stars made her stand corrected. How humorous of them, always keeping the clans on edge. "'N with colder weather comes less prey. I'm sure ya can see where I'm goin' with this, eh?"

"I've decided ta hold an event, and fer all ya competitive chaps I've got somethin' fer ya as well. Y'all will be split inta groups, with at least one warrior each. If a group lacks a warrior, I'll replace 'em. 'Paws are free ta join, but no kits 'er elders." While Owltalon could admit that there was a lack of kit events, there was always a time and place for them, and unfortunately, this event wouldn't fill in the gap. She'd certainly think of something for them... soon.

"After all ya rumps gather, I'll organize yer groups 'n send 'em out ta our two huntin' territories. Whichever group has the most prey gets a prize from me," She gestured to the hawk feathers she'd recently stuck into her pelt as well as the skull of a rat and a few other animals at her paws. "Now, what are ya waiting for? Get ta gatherin', at my paws!"

Owltalon will post after every seven days, meaning that each group has a week to get their prey together. The same amount of time is given for those who want to show up for the event.

Rules:

For your hunting, use a twenty-sided die (you can find a website or use one manually) to determine the success of your catch. If your cats has any purrks that allow them to be more skilled at hunting, you may roll the die three times and pick the more serviceable number out of the three.

Any Negative Numbers - Your catch was unsuccessful!
Any Even Numbers - Your catch was successful!

Please remember that your cat can only hold a total of five items. Though, if anyone has purrks that bump this up to eight, you may carry more.

Looking For:

Prey, but your cat is allowed to snag a few herbs using the same die system.

General Schedule:

Round One:
- Owltalon announces the event
- Owltalon organizes groups and leads them out to Riverclan General Territory
- Hunting commences
- After the appointed amount of days, Owltalon counts the total amount of prey from each group

Round Two:
- Owltalon leads them out to Lionsbeach (the groups will be the same)
- Hunting commences
- After the appointed amount of days, Owltalon counts the total amount of prey from each group

End:
- They head back to the clearing
- A winner is chosen
- Prizes are given!!!

Prizes:
There will be an option for each member of the winning group. Either they get art from me (a simple but shaded headshot, not a header) or 10,000 Kitty Kions! Happy hunting >:3

Yippeeeeee. A hunting event in the biting cold. She was so looking forward to freezing her ass off trying to catch a mouse probably worth a single bite. Despite her bitter thoughts, Shadowpaw padded over at Owltalon's call, muttering something under her breath. Nope, no, no no. She was not in a good mood today.

The large, battle-scarred tom padded over. The Clan needed prey; that much was obvious. And he'd been through enough leaf-bares to know how harsh they could get. Besides, if the deputy was calling for it, he'd always be up to answer.

And he totally wasn't just a little bit competitive... no, no no. That part was overshadowed by the stoic duty to the Clan. And... maybe a bit of healthy competition. Right? Right.
