Okay enough of that... Here's the deal. I've got a couple of lonely grown WC cats who have lost their mates as of late. This is a very difficult finder for me to write up, so I will warn that I will be picky here. Heathernose and Rabbitfur. Their respective plots I have for them are below.
Heathernose is a queen who gave birth to Lionscar's kits. They are Songpaw (RPed by me), Hawkpaw (RPed by Crown Sage - winter themed name is SagetheSnowman), Fernpaw (RPed by MangoBearGoGrr - who also has a winter themed name), and Ferretkit (RPed by Splitmoon, he has not yet been apprenticed as he has missed his ceremony). Rabbitkit was her other daughter, who was RPed by Lionscar's RPer. As Lionscar has gone missing, so has Rabbitkit.
Heathernose tends to be more cool-headed and logical, not liking to approach things emotionally. However, since having kits and falling in love with Lionscar she does tend to have flared tempers pretty quick towards anything that is perceived as a threat. She has become a warmer presence, her kits are everything to her. And she enjoys teasing them lovingly.
The plot? Well, it doesn't look like Lionscar is returning anytime soon. That said, I would likely for Heathernose to experience a more slow paced romance, as her romance with Lionscar was a bit of a whirlwind romance. So this will be a slow-burn. She will likely not consider entertaining anycat's advances for some time, even if she has feelings for them, worried that her kits will feel like she's trying to replace them or their father. This cat will need to be good with kits and willing to step into the step-parent role. Heathernose will not tolerate anything less.
I would like for her to have another litter down the road, so this cat will need to be open to that. Whether AMAB or not, Heather enjoys being a mother. Now that most (and possibly all) of her kits have been apprenticed, she will likely be going through empty nest syndrome pretty hard for a while, trying to throw herself back into being a warrior. Her and this cat should start as friends, someone that Heather can vent to safely, and she would of course offer the same to this cat. Her loyalty is unwavering (another reason for her reluctance when the romance starts to develop).
Another slow burn and difficult romance here. Rabbitfur's mate Gorseflower has also gone missing. They have two kits, Daffodilpaw (RPed by me) and Bouncepaw (RPed by Badwolf). Rabbitfur and Gorseflower were kithood friends. They trained together, and Rabbitfur has known he loved her practically all his life. Their romance was simple. Now without her, he will start to feel her lack of presence.
Rabbitfur will likely try to deny any feelings, and push away anycat who tries to pursue him. He's non-confrontational for the most part, so this will likely just look like him blatantly changing subjects unless the other cat forces him to snap. He's not a flirt, and it will be very difficult to convince him to take another mate after Gorseflower. She was the love of his life, and he vowed his loyalty to her. So this would be a very difficult slow burn.
However, assuming all goes well for your cat (i.e. Gorseflower's RPer doesn't return and she remains missing) he may be swayed to accept another mate into his heart. Daffodilpaw and Bouncepaw will also need to approve, so this may prove a challenge. But he wouldn't accept any mate that doesn't given his currently kits patience and kindness. They would also need to accept her in order for Rabbitfur to take the final step in accepting Gorseflower isn't coming back.
Rabbitfur is hetereo, so females AFAB only! He will also likely want another litter with this cat down the road.
If either cat's original RPer/mate returns, we can all convene to discuss how the plot will proceed. So please keep that in mind!
