It was starting to get warmer and warmer each day, though the one thing Adderstrike could wish for is that it would do it much faster than it was going. A snail was winning this race currently. So with a long yawn Adderstrike stretched and got off of the rock that she was trying to sun on. It wasn't really doing her any good so she gave up on this waste of time... Then a new sun poked its head out of its hiding place. Fantastic!

Quickly Adderstrike padded over to Sunheart with a warm smile. "Hey Sunheart!" She chimed happily. "I don't think I ever personally said this, but I really like your new name! It really does fit you." Compliment were great but they made for horrible conversation. Then again, Adderstrike was terrible at conversations. How did one slay the beast that was small talk?

She toke a moment to fix the fur on her chest with a thoughtful look on her face before something came to her mind. "Oh yeah, uh.. Was I interrupting you on anything? And if it was something can I help you do it?" She couldn't lie, she loved to work and maybe she could make friends with Sunheart by hanging out with him so much! Oh how exciting!

Lounging in his favorite edge of camp, Sunheart lifted his head with narrowed, but not unfriendly, eyes as he was approached. Ah, Adderstrike. "Hi, Adderstrike," He purred in greeting, rising from his loafed position into a sitting one, wrapping his tail neatly around his paws with a yawn. "Thank you! Truthfully, I wasn't sure if I sounded too...self-indulgent with it." The deputy admitted sheepishly. He had picked his own name, after all. But he was glad at least whoever had mentioned it so far had agreed it suited him. Made him feel a bit better about it.

At her question of interruption, the tom shook his head. "No, not at all!" He mewed with a dismissive wave of his tail. "I was just relaxing for a bit, but it's probably time I do something." He joked. "Care to go fishing with me?"

"Absolutely not! Its a wonderful name and if that's self indulgent then every name should be as well." Adderstrike giggled. "Unless you picked something like star-destroying-claws or something."

Hearing the prospect of fishing, Adderstrike's ears perked up and well as her smile. Her mind buzzed wildly like a bee finding the new flowers of spring while she thought about all her favorite fishing spots. "Oh fishing? I would know nothing at all about such a thing at all, though I think I found the best place to find trout within this clan, perhaps the whole forests!" She bragged cheerfully as she wanted more cats to know where her hotspot was, and that it wouldn't only be her getting these fish all the time, hehe even Adderstrike can be evil sometimes.~

"Try to keep up!" Adderstrike shouted all of the sudden before she bolted while being careful for any icy looking patches, if any were still around. It was a bit of a jog to the point that Adderstrike had to pull back her speed a bit to have some wind in her when fishing. Patches of snow were still around but where Adderstrikes 'hotspot' was there were plenty more as the trees were a bit denser here, their crowns tangled a lot more than others providing shade even before the leaves came back. "This spot is the best to hunt in the warmer moons since its always shady! I think the trout know it too!" She informed once she stopped at this shady paradise of scales.

There should be some snow left irl? but there are river trout who prefer shady rivers
