Covepaw padded back into camp froma particularly aggravating walk by himself. His pelt was messy and unattended too, it was as clear as day he had done some solo training. The lean, ombre apprentice padded towards the prey pike, snatching up a smaller frog before sitting down, ripping it apart with his strong jaws, unaware of Basspaw's lurking.

—The darkly colored apprentice watched with round eyes as one of his clanmates walked into camp looking like he'd got into a fight with a bush, and found himself just a smidge amused at the sight. That guy had probably had some fun, in some way or another. That's how he always viewed ruffled pelts--you'd had to have been getting up to some action! Probably training, but who knows. The other cat started walking adjacent to his direction and Basspaw didn't pay much attention to him, turning his gaze to some cool trinket on the floor. He knew the prey pile was behind him, and it wasn't any of his business what that guy was grabbing for lunch, or not.
When Covepaw walked off with his frog, they ended up being pretty close to each other, and Basspaw subtly turned his head to glance at him. The apprentice didn't want to bother the guy while he was chewing, but he figured a little bit of small talk wouldn't hurt. "What's with the uh... fur?" Basspaw offered, his voice floating lightly, unforceful. —
