Flamekit purred at the thought of the Clan camp as not just a place, “It’s a hard choice, but I think my favorite place in camp is either the elder’s den or the clearing! The elder’s den is awesome because you can hear a lot of stories! I just like the clearing because of the space and everyone is hanging out with each other!”

I wonder…

Rushfire's whiskers twitched. "I agree, I love listening to stories too." She walked pass Flamekit and stopped shortly away. Eyes shining, her head tilted up to the sky, except the sky here was blocked - shielded from the cats by the presence of a giant, old tree with gnarled and mossy bark. "The Thunderwillow. That is my favorite place. Have the elders ever told you stories of it?"

“No, I’ve only ever heard the story of the beginning of the Clans,” Flame’kit shrugged, got up, and sat down next to the warrior. “What kind of stories did you hear about the Thunderwillow?”

Cinderstar
Gazing down from the branch of the Thunderwillow she was perched upon, Cinderstar smiled softly at the number of kits present at the meeting. Most of them who had scampered over would be starting their training today - along with one who who had been rather well behaved and had taken their punishment in stride. She had originally told them that it would be held off, but with several of the kits she knew them to be close to, it felt wrong to deny her of becoming a 'paw alongside them.

Among the crowd as well was Lotuspaw, recently returned back from StarClan. Her gaze lingered on the apprentice with a smile. Despite the rather disastrous gathering, this meeting would be a grand one as there were several things to get through - one of which was sure to be a startling surprise to the recently returned feline. And Bushpaw as well, should the young tom arrive to the meeting.

"There are quite a few things to get through for this meeting. I am sure you are all wondering what occurred at the gathering last night, and I promise I will get to that. But for now I do not wish to dampen the many ceremonies and announcements we have for this meeting." Maybe there would be pushback on that, but if any cat deserved to have their day unspoiled by dampening news it was kits ready to become 'paws.

"This moon has seen the return of several of our missing Clanmates. Ivythorn, Thunderchaser, Fallowpaw, Goldenpaw, Cactuspaw, and Emberkit have all returned to us. An apprentice who went missing last greenleaf has also found her way back; Flamepaw." That had been all of the regular missing cats who had returned in the last moon, aside from the most recent one. "And most recently, StarClan saw fit to return Lotuspaw to us." Her gaze shifted over to where they were sitting, offering a small smile.

Then, there was one came with some saddening news. "Violetkit has also returned. However, during her return her mother Snowcloud valiantly gave her life so that she could make it back to us safely. I know not what caused her death, but I am certain she died honorably, making sure that Violetkit would be returned to us and I wish her safe travels to StarClan. After this meeting, I will be drawing a patrol together to try and locate her body so that she may be buried with our ancestors." Cinderstar allowed a moment of silence to fall over the crowd. It was always a rather difficult day when the loss of a Clanmate struck.

After a moment or two, she decided to not let the Clan linger in anymore sadness. Today, despite the news, would be a joyous day. "In happier news, there are several kits who are ready to begin their warrior training. Could Marigoldkit, Wisteriakit, Swankit, Wishkit, Snowkit, Violetkit, and Flamekit step forward?"

The last two names might be a surprise, but the current kits to be rather tight knit, and them becoming 'paws together would be an experience they would carry with them throughout their training. She gave a gentle smile to Flamekit, knowing this would come as a surprise considering the last she heard, her ceremony would be delayed.

Dawnpaw bowed her head in understanding. "I understand if you don't take me back in, I have been gone fr some time." She said, feeling thankful enough that they were letting her have one more chance, hopefully.

Snowkit listened to Cinderstar intently. She was unaware of what happened to Lotuspaw, but the news interested her. Next, Cinderstar's announcement about- her sister? Her sister was back?? Snowkit leapt to her feet, eyes wide, head swiveling until she caught a glimpse of a still familiar and very missed kit. Paying no heed o Cinderstar's announcement that she was now an apprentice, Snowkit rocketed towards her sister. "Violetkit!" She cried, pure joy evident in her voice as her first real smile in almost a moon spread across her face. Bracing her stiff fore-leg against the ground, she raised the other in an attempt to hug her sister. @Ravens

Violetkit looked at Cinserstar and steps forward *I feel so nervous… maybe its because im becoming an apprentice* she thought as her fur jumps and turns to Snowkit “snowkit” she said a bit startled but trying to stay calm.

Pushing his way through the camp entrance, the large tom was surprised to find a sizable crowd of cats gathered beneath the Thunderwillow. When he turned his hazel eyes to the tree, he noticed Cinderstar looking down upon the clan.
I must have missed the announcement!
Making his way forward, he settled down at the back of the group, tucking his forepaws under his chest. Sounded like a number of kits were to be apprenticed today!

She had been deeply asleep when the voice of Cinderstar began to touch the edges of her mind. Blearily blinking open her eyes, Emberpaw slowly rolled to her paws, hoisting herself from her nest. Making her way out of the den, she took a seat in the clearing not far from the entrance, giving her pelt a few laps of her tongue. So she'd be receiving new denmates again. It was starting to get a bit crowded in there.
