Thorn’s Adventure
After waking up from a long and relaxing nap, Thorn stretched and cleaned the dirt out from under his long and sharp claws. Maybe I can find a use for these darn things, I’m getting sick of using them on trees! Thorn hissed to himself. Heh… maybe I can go over to a Clan and use them there, there’s no need for me to live here much longer.
Thorn shook his head, purring with amusement as he imagined being a Clan cat. Who to join… ThunderClan? Too… weak. WindClan? Too fast. RiverClan? Definitely not! Too much fish-breath in one place. As he sat up and started walking, Thorn growled to himself.
“ShadowClan is a much better option. They aren’t that far away, I’ll go see if their leader will allow me in. They seem to be the only cats with some sense…”

Re: Thorn’s Adventure
Crossing the Thunderpath after determining it was safe, Thorn bounded across and onto the sand that was on the edge of it. All he had to do was get into the trees and march into the camp… right? No… that’s just asking to be in the Dark Forest… With a flick of his tail, Thorn decided to hunt and think on it.
“A peace offering, perhaps…” Thorn thoughtfully purred. “If I get a piece of prey, that could prove I’m a capable hunter… a worthy cat of ShadowClan, if their leader permitted.”

Re: Thorn’s Adventure
Forcing himself to be still, Thorn breathed in the scents around him, identifying birds, mice, and squirrels. The tabby and white tom then perked his ears and swiveled them in the directions of any squirrel he heard munching on acorns and other assortments of nuts and berries. A squirrel could show ShadowClan I am able to hunt without little problems…
After catching a strong squirrel scent, Thorn dropped into a crouch and followed the scent. Slowly moving his head to look at his tail position, Thorn smiled to himself and turned his attention back to the gray squirrel. After only a few moments of watching what the squirrel was up to, Thorn crept up as close to and as slow as he could to not make any sounds that had the potential to startle his prey. Unsheathing his claws, Thorn made the leap and slammed his front paws into the squirrel and knocked it off balance. He then kept his paws on the squirrel and finished it off with a swift bite to the back.
“Whoever the ShadowClan leader is will be happy I hunted for their Clan… they’ll have to let me in after this wonderful catch!” Thorn mischievously growled as he picked up the squirrel with his long canines. “Now to go to ShadowClan…”

Thorn’s New Friend
It had been moons since he attempted to join ShadowClan, the face of Dawnstar still fresh on his mind. Breathing in and out, he decided to venture out towards ShadowClan once more.
Once he got close enough, Thorn padded around the edge of the outskirts, considering the decision he has made to go back to the border. The scent of ShadowClan was drawing near, and the tom let a grimace escape. Lashing his tail with annoyance, Thorn ran further into the outskirts, silently vowing to enact revenge on the whole of ShadowClan for Dawnstar’s ’mistake’. He had killed an adult cat, about the size of a warrior, but promised himself to never kill kits due to them being too young to understand there was a difference between right and wrong; especially the ones in the Clan he had tried to join all those moons ago. Since there was no cat in ShadowClan around, he decided to take his mind off of the Clans for now and hunt.
Opening his jaws to take in the different smells lingering in the air, Thorn cast a glance at a mouse about three fox-lengths away. Dropping into a hunter’s crouch, the tabby and white tom snuck up onto his prey and leaped, barely hearing a squeal as he bit into the mouse. He then padded away into the trees to eat his meal. Wait, who’s that?
Dropping his catch, Thorn unsheathed his claws and bent down, glaring at where the scent was coming from. The tom bared his teeth and let a yowl escape his jaws.
“Come out, whoever you are!” He challenged.

Re: Thorn’s Adventure
Shadow had grown tired of her old home, it was inevitable, she never stayed in one place for long. Sooner or later that itching feeling would travel through her blood and she would be on the move again. It certainly was interesting, but provided few real interacrions with others. Not that she minded, of course, after what that rogue had done to her mother and brother, she was content to avoid as many cats as possible.
Wasn't like they could be trusted anyway.
It had been a relatively normal day. There was a faint breeze, and she had even managed to catch a rather plump mouse earlier that day. Slipping among the brush, she caught sight of a rabbit. immediately droppinglow, she quietly stalked it, waiting for the oppurtunity to strike. Closer… closer… now! Silently leaping into the air, Shadow killed it with a swift bite to the neck. gripping her prey in her jaws, she began to resume her travels. Shadow was starting to believe this would be a quiet, tranquil day when she heard the yowl.
The fur along her spine spiked and her claws slid out as she went still, ears rotating to catch where the sound had come from. Apparently she must have intruded on another loners territory. Quietly placing her kill on the ground, she hesitated ro go over possible scenarios before steppung into plain sight, sliding into a slight crouch, in case of an attack. "Relax, I'm not here to cause any kind of unpleasentness." She remarked dryly. "Just passin' through."

Thorn kept his gaze firmly on the stranger and sat up, his tail tip continued to lash. The tom studied the stranger for a few moments and decided she wouldn’t attack, so he stepped closer to her. He knew his own strength, but didn’t know hers so he kept his claws out for precautionary measures. He leaned his head forward and pinned his ears, smelling the stranger to see what he could find out.
“Then why are you hunting?” He finally growled. “Don’t you know to avoid other cats? Other dangers? Or do you have bees in that small brain of yours?”

Re: Thorn’s Adventure
Shadow hissed threateningly as the other cat approached her and she swiped at him warningly. "Get closer to me and you'll be leaing with quite a few scars." She snapped, deadly serious. "Havent you ever heard of personal space, mouse brain?" And he had the audacity to say she had bees for brains. With the way the wind was blowing, it was no wonder she hadn't scented him. Or did he just not know about that. Moron. With the way this tom was acting she was itching to actually use her claws on him, maybe then he'd watch his tongue… if she didnt claw it out first. Her pupils contracted and her ears pinned back flat against her head as sheattempted ro contel the sudden rush of fury that pulsed through her at his last remark.
"Don't you dare lecture me on the dangers out here." She said, voice tightly controlled, but her eyes conveying the intensity of the anger she was attemptng to hide. "I have been living on my own since I was five moons old, so the next time you decide to lecture me about survival I will personally rip you into so many shreds that Starclan itself won't be able to save you." Shadow's voice was starting to shake slightly from the amount of effort it was taking to keep her voice even and small glimmers of venom were twisting into her words.

Thorn backed up slightly as Shadow swatted at him and smirked. This she-cat has some real nerve… he huffed.
“You have no idea where you are, do you?” He snapped angrily, he fluffed out his fur and stood up taller. “You’re very close to the entrance of my territory! You stole my prey! Listen here, miss ‘I’ve been out here since I was five moons old’, you clearly don’t understand how much you’re overstepping the line, you’re lucky I’m being generous… and the next time you come around? Make sure you really get a good whiff of the air, checking it in multiple directions. It may save your life one day.”
That was the first time he had given any advice to any cat, and the first time he let one live after coming into his territory. He remembered his first victim, Russet, who had crossed into the territory when he was much younger. I need to go check the opposite end of my territory… who knows if this cat was a part of a group and just distracting me…
“Don’t come into my territory again, got it?” Thorn growled, making sure he left with a cat who understood boundaries. Come on, Thorn! he growled to himself. She’s stepped foot onto your territory, why aren’t you killing?!
// I can see that, I feel bad for Shadow!

Re: Thorn’s Adventure
Shadow merely hissed at the aggressive tom once more before turning to leave. If they were in a denser are of forest she would have at least attempted to stand her ground. She could put her speed and agilitynto ood use, butit wastoo open here, and the tom probably had the advantage in this scenario. And… there he was lecturing her again. Was he serious? Shadow had half a mind to dart at him and rake her claws down his face, but maybe she could do somethong that would equally infuriate him. She glanced around as she turned to leave. There was a tree maybe a few fox lengths away, tall, with pretty thin branches on the top. She gave the tom another glance. No way he could climb onto them without breaking them from his weight. She, on the other hand could perch on them pretty easily. She grabbed her squirrel, took a few steps to 'leave', then darted towards the tree, climbing it with ease, jumping up to the thin branches at the top to eat her kill, with nothing the tom could do to make her leave as long as she was up there. She smirked. "Still wanna lecture me?" She quipped, branch swayimg slightly under her weight, but not enough to break.

"That's right..." he muttered to himself as Shadow turned to 'leave'. "Leave, loner..." And don't come back!
Thorn's gaze followed Shadow like a hawk and he began to relax until she leaped onto the tree with her squirrel. Oh, for StarClan's sake!
"That branch won't be able to hold your weight for long," Thorn growled in warning. "Get down before you break a leg, or worse... your neck." What was going on with Thorn? First I show mercy by simply arguing and now I warn her about the branch?! What in StarClan's name is going on? Thorn shook his head and began to slowly climb the tree. He had very little experience in that area, but he had to somehow get this stranger out before she hurt herself. That branch won't be able to hold both our weights...
"Get off!" Thorn yowled, hoping the she-cat would hear. "That branch is swaying and as soon as I come up there, it'll break and we'd both be in trouble!"
