Ray shrugged she didn’t care, not in the slightest, she’d be an apprentice soon so she was gonna have a lot to do, including make friends!

Mapleleaf turned her attention to a familiar voice, happy to see that it was none other than her mate. It had been a bit of time since the two talked, and she hoped she hadn't made him upset with leaving him at Sunkissed Creek so abruptly.

"Oh, hi, Thunderblaze," she replied in a purr. "L-look... I-I'm sorry for leaving you like I did at Sunkissed Creek. I promise I'll make it up to you when I can."

The older apprentice noticed the she-cat out of the side of her vision. Wasn't that the cat that was talking to Willowpaw? Maybe she should ask. "Berryspot right? If I remember correctly, you were talking to Willowpaw at the gathering?" She asked, her and the ShadowClan apprentice we're friends, and they talked a bit, they had spoken about Berryspot a few times in her adventures at the gathering, Dawnpaw still had yet to go to one so she was pretty excited to hear what happened, it was cool that her friend met another cat from ThunderClan other than her.

Bushtuft heard his name from the warrior’s den and instead of paying attention to it and getting up to see what it was, it was a while until he realised what it meant.

Oh wait was that a patrol?

Running out of the den, his partner, Roosterflame, was already gone. Crap. So, he sprinted to where he was supposed to go, praying Roosterflame would still be there.

The young tom padded through the camp entrance, his mind uncharacteristically wandering. He nearly missed Sparrowstar’s call for a meeting until the last words sank in, nearly making him jump. He turned his attention to the Thunderwillow and hurried to an open spot to watch the meeting.

Bumbleflight led the way back to camp, his ears slightly drooping and nose scrunched. Ashpaw and Flamepaw had successfully managed to catch fish while on their trip to Sunkissed Creek, but Ashpaw seemed to be daring the warrior to taste the fish. Of course, the smell didn't help make it any appetizing, much less the appearance, but Bumbleflight disliked backing out from something as little as this. Still, he had postponed it until they reached camp and, now that they were here, his time of reckoning was approaching fast. Why, why was it fish?

The team had spent more time at Sunkissed Creek than Ashpaw had first thought. His whiskers twitched in satisfaction. That means I've had much fun! He turned his pale grey gaze to Flamepaw. The orange apprentice looked bright, and he thought that she must be very pleased for the afternoon experience. He kept on trotting behind her familiar shape, tail high, not really paying attention to the ground and what lay on it.

As soon as the three cats passed through the fern tunnel that marked the entrance to Thunderclan camp, Ashpaw hurried to call the other clanmates who were present around at that moment: "Hello, we have come with a new surprise! Flamepaw and I brought you two fresh minnow straight from the stream!" He exclaimed cheerfully with a strong tone. Suddenly he realized that his voice had deepened in the last months, and his body had enlarged along with his muscles under the tabby pelt. He was becoming just like a real warrior, at last.

Ashpaw didn't miss to throw an innocent gaze at Bumbleflight, who was evidently pretending to be distracted by some invisible force somewhere around him. Before addressing him again, he came closer to Flamepaw and brushed his flank against hers, purring with pleasure. "You were a really good teacher today. Thank you for everything!" he smiled warmly, his heart softening as her gaze met his.

Flamepaw trailed happily behind Bumbleflight, Ashpaw was following behind her. She could sense the displeasure coming off of Bumbleflight's pelt, but would trying a fish really be that bad? Flamepaw would probably try a minnow too if her other Clanmates decided not to answer her gray tabby friend's call. She noticed his voice was a lot deeper than it had been, and was rather shocked by it. I guess he's getting ready to be a warrior. That means he and I will be having our ceremonies soon! But their ceremonies wouldn't come until probably next moon. It was still a ways away, and Flamepaw still had to get some training done. Soon enough, Ashpaw came to walk beside her and brushed his flank against hers. He's got soft fur... she noted as her green eyes scanned her friend's gray pelt. And one day we'll be warriors together!

Her attention was brought back to the present as her friend began speaking to her with a purr. Her gaze softened even more as she listened to him not only thank her but compliment her as well. It still felt odd to have successfully taught Ashpaw how to hunt minnows, but she welcomed that feeling. She'd need to be able to teach because one day she would be a mentor herself.

"Anytime!" she answered back in a purr, blinking slowly in nonverbal thanks.

Since Ashpaw had called over their Clanmates, Flamepaw tilted her head and opened her jaws to yowl in a informative, yet cheerful tone, "These fish can supply ThunderClan through leaf-bare! Best to get to know the taste now!" Maybe I can hold a fish-catching event soon! That way ALL of ThunderClan can learn how to fish and have more bellies filled during the harsh, cold moons!
