Sundust didn’t think he’d ever get used to giving out patrols, but it needed to be done. A quick glance into the herb storage that morning had revealed the herb stores to be frightfully low: namely in marigold and cobwebs. It was always marigold and cobwebs. With the onset of leaf-fall - as well as the ominous promise of leafbare, that dreadful fourth season - the medicine cat also wanted to have a good stock of catmint. And with all the litters that were due in a few moons it would be good to have burnet as well.
[optional prompt: there’s a huge patch of catmint!! but those wasps guarding it look rather grumpy!]
“Thrushfur! Please take Weaselpaw to the Sunkissed Creek. I’d like for you two to collect catmint; if you find any cobwebs please bring those back as well. Catmint has purple flowers and grows on a tall stalk.” The warrior’s infection seemed to have been healing nicely, so the medicine cat though something simple like herb gathering should be a good reintroduction back into more intense warrior duties.

“Harefire and Lavendarmask! Please go to Giant’s Rest and look for marigold and borage. Marigold is yellowish-orange flower with small leaves, and burnet has purple star-shaped flowers with fuzzy stems.” He has yet to explore much of the new territory, but he heard that the plant-life around Giant’s Rest was plentiful.
