She danced to the side, before looking back at the small cat. "That seems like a you problem," she bit back before quickly trailing off. She had tried to be nice, but small cats were just so irritating. To make matters worse, the childs mother was here. Whoops. A forced smile came onto her face as she looked at the kits mother. This wasn't how that was supposed to go. "Er- what's your name?" Kits had small minds, if she recalled correctly. Hopefully a quick subject change would make her forget about the earlier incident. She looked up at the queen and nodded. Mossyflower didn't look angry, which wasn't too bad of news. Maybe she could get away with this. "Doing well, you?" She dipped her head respectfully.

Moonkit looked confused for a second, trying to figure out which comment to respond to. Then she smiled and chirped happily "I'm Moonkit and thats my new mom Mossyflower and who are you?

The red furred apprentice nodded. He figured this was just his 'duty' as an apprentice.

"I'm doing great" Mossyflower replied. She looked at Moonkit who was talking about her, then back at Foxpaw who was smiling. With a small chuckle she meowed "Though I suggest you don't talk to kittens in such a rude manner." Mossyflower looked at Foxpaw with a slight smile, she just might let her get away with this.

Haha! Her plan had worked! Now that Moonkit was occupied, she only had to worry about Mossyflower, and, from the smile on the older mollies face, it would be fine and dandy. "Of course." She dipped her head, but didn't really pay any mind to the scolding. She'd treat them how they treated her, that was how it went. She turned back to the child. "Call me Fox." That was not a nickname request. Rather, she didn't want Moonkit to know that she was an apprentice the age of a warrior. That would be embarrassing, but then again, no one knew how old she was, so maybe it wasn't so bad.

Mossywillow yawned, "Well I'm feeling quite tired," She looked at Moonkit "You can play with the other kits or come with me. Mossyflower now looked at Foxpaw "Now I except you not to talk impolitely to any other kittens." She meowed, turning around trotting towards the nursery.

"Fox?" Moonkit questioned. "Is that a loner name? Or are you just a old cat? 'Cause you look old. And you came out of the 'prentice den. Are you foxpaw then?" There were so many questions she wanted to ask this new cat. Maybe they could explore together!

She had to choose though. "Can I stay out with Fox, Mossyflower? I won't run off or anything. We can play moss ball!"

Foxpaw’s look and mannerisms sent shivers down even his spin. He couldn’t imagine how the kits seemed so unaffected. She certainly was a character. He didn’t know if she would really attack kits (he presumed not), but he thought it wise to get them out all the same. A frown furrowed on his muzzle at her overreaction to Lotuskit trying to play with her. It was an annoying situation to be sure, but not one that demanded such a response. He refrained from addressing it aloud however. It’s not my place to tell her off I’m not her mentor.

He turned his attention back on the kits. “Jump in circles?” He sighed dramatically. “I’m much too big for that in here. I’ll do it if we can go outside. Deal?” If the kits said no he was more than willing to get more commanding, but he felt that this would be a far better option. Especially with a certain variable at play. He glanced Foxpaw’s way.

"Hmmmm, what do you think Bluekit?" Lotuskit asks, sticking her tounge out at Foxpaw.

Before Mossyflower entered the nursery she heard Moonkit say something about wanting to hang out with Fox. "Sure, just be back by sun-down" She meowed heading into the nursery.
