Wildpaw listened in on the meeting. Wait patrols were being sent out to find territory? He wanted in. The nine moon old new apprentice stepped forward. "I want to go on one!", he called. Wildpaw didn't want to miss out. He wanted to help out and finding more territory sounded cool.

Irritation washed over Bumblestar's features. She counted ten members of her Clan willing to venture out and claim new land--that was it? That wasn't even enough to fill the patrols she needed to fill. She'd have to drop the amount of participants, and even then that would leave one cat out. Ugh. She was going to have to do some serious work around here if her Clanmates were that unwilling to at least try.

With a frustrated exhale, she opened her mouth to start calling the patrols together.

Then something hard whacked her right in the middle of her forehead. She jerked back with a startled yelp, ears flipping back, and glanced down at the objected that clattered to the Stormcrest in front of her paws.

A pebble. Of course it was.

"Ohhhh, I am going to BITE someone's paws off," she snarled, gaze snapping back to her Clan to try to find the offender. Mudhound looked suspicious. Then again, Foxflurry had just been throwing it around. GRAH. If only she knew who to whack! "Next cat I see with a rock is getting locked in the apprentices' den for a moon! Of all the immature, IDIOTIC…" She trailed off into infuriated grumbles and curses before abruptly sucking in a breath and swatting the pebble harshly off the Stormcrest. It flew sideways and landed far away from the meeting place.

"Patrols." Ow. She was seriously going to bite someone. "Listen up 'n listen well, 'cause I'm only saying it once, and if you're here and somehow miss your name, we're going to have serious problems.

"Alderstep [ @.squid ]." Her attention flickered down to her deputy. "Take Pebbleshine [ @Poprock ] and Echopaw [ @Octavia! ] out to the old camp. If it looks stable enough, I might consider letting cats head out that direction again.

"Spiderthroat [ @Starfall ]." She hadn't missed the tom's look at all. "You, Sunleap [ @Katiethewolfchild ], and Wildpaw [ @Catherine ] should venture into the outskirts 'n see what you can find. Just try to avoid Twolegplace, and take care of any threats that are out there. Make sure to expand our borders.

"Wolfmist [ @naiad ]." Hopefully the new warrior wouldn't disappoint. "Take Dragonflycliff [ @dragonwind ] and Cherrypaw [ @CreeperLover649 ] in the same direction as Spiderthroat's patrol, but hang back further and look a little closer. Clear out anything you find, try to secure something useful.

"I'm not expecting these to take any less than a couple of days. Just be careful, 'n be quick. If you've got any injuries, get looked at before you head out."

Weariness tugged at her limbs as she descended the Stormcrest for the last time. "Meeting's over. If you need me, I'll be in my den."

She'd get her injuries looked at later. Maybe she could have five minutes of peace before someone came to bother her.

NO IT HIT BUMBLE-SIS IN THE FACE!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
The whimpering that Mudhound was making was more audible this time transitioning to a low whine of guilt and terror and Bumblestar promised to bite the offender.


MUDHOUND WAS THE OFFENDER AND DIDNT WANNA BE BITTEN!!!! THEY DIDNT WANNA LOOSE A PAW THEY ONLY HAD THREE THEY NEEDED THEM! YOU CANT PLAY WITH ONLY ONE PAW!!!!!


The warrior was borderline shaking, eyes wide probably not helping hide their guilt from the furious leader at all but no one was yet ratting them out and she was moving on so things were fine?

Yeah it probably wasnt fine and internally the big softie was crying at this point face locked in a state of catatonic shock and slight fear. It wasnt like proper proper terror, more of the fear of rightful retribution by a little (lol) sister who would bite Mudhound hard when they were least expecting it. The tripod had no doubt on Bumblestars capabilities or motivation for doing so. Also guilt, managing a clan was hard enough when you werent pegged in the head with a rock your command (unintentionally) disrespected mid rule. The maine coon mix just prayed that Bumblestars bite was less painful then Icey-sis' because that was ba- WAIT MEETING WAS OVER!!!!


NOW WAS THE TIME TO FLEE THE SCENE!


The warrior hadnt moved this fast since Houndchaser had chased them for the stolen pigeon and was on their paws in a shot as Bumblestar called it quits. There was only a short "To the territory for first lesson Lotuspaw!" Before the warrior was bolting out of the meeting and camp, hopfully with an apprentice on their heels, leaving a verifiable dust cloud behind them. They might has well been flying the guilt flag behind them for this but hopefully their sister would forgive and forget after a couple of days of Mudhound avoiding her giving her space and some sleep. Hopefully. .....Yeah maybe it was a good idea to run faster out of camp.

Wolfpaw was too zoned out cuddling into the Bumba that the meeting seemed to fly by. As she left the rock, it brought him back to earth - and he was quick to follow her. "Nap time!!!" [ @dino. ]

FallowReed winced, watching the stone fly into BumbleStar's head. Ouch! She looked around, keeping track of who was being send out for Patrols. She meandered her way over to a free space in the clearing, settling down. She watched MudHound speed out of camp and chuckled.

Well, at the start, everything was going fine at first… that was until Springpaw straight up saw a pebble get flung right directly at Bumblestar’s head. The calico quickly flinched as her ears tucked back as a subtle, quiet hiss escaped her throat. That had got to hurt. Hopefully that wasn’t enough to cause any sort of damage to her head. That was the last thing that Springpaw needed added to her list of things to do. Squinting open an eye, Springpaw’s ears jerked back up as she listened to the leader speaking furiously once more. Well, firstly, at least she was okay, and secondly, who in the actual hell decided to fling a pebble of all things at her head? Springpaw was quick to begin to scan her eyes around the clearing, landing quickly on the departing Mudhound, who seemingly left the scene in a hurry. Well, that didn’t take too long for her to figure out who it might’ve been that decided to be small-minded enough that they would toss a pebble off all things up at Bumblestar’s head. All it did was cause a mass of chaos to erupt that didn’t even need to occur in the first place. Especially over some little game.

With a tight huff and that issue out of the way, Springpaw jeered her eyes back up towards Bumblestar as she listened to her continue the meeting. Well, at least patrols are being held out; one specifically going back to the old camp—which caused a jitter of unease to swirl within her stomach—one to the outskirts, and another also to the outskirts. They each didn’t sound too alarming, thankfully, but she’ll want to keep an eye out in case they come back with any new injuries. She would make a word out of it, but she was sure that they would understand the gist of her message anyways. Other than that, it seemed like the meeting was over. Standing back up to her paws, Springpaw glanced around to look back towards the direction of her mother, and quickly casted her a small smile. “I’ll be in the medicine den if you need me, mom. I’m sure you’ll be able to handle your apprentice just fine.” Springpaw was bound to add in another comment that would’ve definitely made some sort of amusement for the lot of them, but she held herself back. That probably wouldn’t be too necessary.

Other than that, she flicked the tip of her tail and began to b-line her way back towards the medicine cat den; ears alert in case anyone was going to get themselves checked out first before heading out for the patrols that Bumblestar assigned. Hopefully cats that didn’t have any wax in their brains were going to do that.

What? was the first thought that ran through her mind when the pebble hit Bumblestar's face. It was sudden and Mudhound away quickly, they were quite suspicious. She glared at them as they sped away and went to find her apprentice and Wolfmist.

Oh no, Ms. Bumble got her head hit by a tiny pebble! Lambpaw hoped that the leader would be okay, even if he couldn’t verbally communicate his emotions. Other than that, he didn’t really pay much attention to much of the things that his leader had spoken about. Something about a patrol. Something about some cats, blah blah blah. Lambpaw was far occupied in his own little world to really understand much of what his leader was spewing. However, he did manage to hear that it was the end of the meeting, excitement jittering throughout his system. He turned towards his mentor and began to happily stomp his paws against the ground as he stared up at the caliby. Ms. Fox promised to take him out on a territory tour after the meeting and now they could do it! He couldn’t wait to collect some new exciting things to add to his collection of collectibles!

Echopaw's ears perked when she heard her name. The old camp? she thought with disappointment, I want to find somewhere cool and exciting, not the crusty dusty camp...
