I purred a soft hello, a little disappointed my mate was nowhere to be seen. But nonetheless, I had an apprentince to teach. "Well, what have you already learned? Or do you not know how to swim at all?" I asked. "and if you can, show me how you swim."
frostpaw practically Legged it over.
"Heya! Bluefang, right? I'm frostpaw. It's an honor to be taught to swim by you." Frostpaw dipped his head in respect.
[ @FrostyGalaxy found my headers nyehehe /silly ]
cobwebpaw bounded over to the leader, surprised to be paired with someone she looked up to so much. she bowed her head in respect and smiled. ' hello, larkstar! ' she meowed, sitting and curling her tail around her paws.
with a smile, the smaller cat tilted her head, ready for the leader's response.
*-Lark'star'-*
She/her | 18 moons | Mind Reader - ACTIVE A sleek dilute tortie she-cat with green eyes
"Hey there," Lark smiles at the apprentice, happy to help out - it always felt good to her to teach, maybe through this event she could feel like just a regular warrior again. "Have you gotten any experience at all with swimming?" She asks so she knows where to start.
__________
*-Wavekit-*
she/her (for now) || 2moons || no purrks A two color cat of sandy tan and blue/grey. Where the two colors meet the fur is oddly patterned like a wave
Imperiously, Wavekit saunters up to the big cat hosting the whatever this is. "I'll have you know, I'm already the bestest swimming in all of RiverClam!" She boasts, smiling in a way that can only be described as smug. This big cat teaching her was going to be so impressed, and maybe even tell her some cool stories about other fishy cats who lived!!

Hollyflight smiled, seeing how enthusiastic the kitten was. She could definitely get Wavekit to be a great swimmer due to the fact they wanted to be here.
`` Alright, so I'm gonna start with the basics- But i'm sure you already know that since you're 'the bestest swimmer in Riverclan' `` She teased. `` Now, follow me into the water `` She meowed sweetly, still smiling a little.
She slowly submerged into the water up about half her legs before flicking her tail to signal Wavekit to come in also. The water was pretty cold, but it wasn't so cold their fur would freeze as it would have done later in leaf-bare. She cracked her neck as she waited Wavekit to walk into the water as she had done.

cobwebpaw smiled back, excited for the lesson. ' i don't have any experience, no. but i'm excited to learn, you know! ' her ear twitched as she spoke, her anticipation clearly showing.
"yeah, that's me. Pleasure to meet ya. It's always nice to meet a cat who wants to beat their sibling in a race. Y'know, I never actually had any siblings when I was born. They'd died while being born, I was the luckiest out of me and my 4 siblings and survived." He meowed softly. His tail swayed gently.

Treepaw's ears went down as he heard the sad words.
`` That's too bad, I would have loved to meet them. `` He said somberly, then paused waiting for a response. He wanted a way to get out of this part of the conversation and just kinda go in the water. He knew quite a bit of how to swim, okay, maybe not that. He knew how to... flail around? His brother had taught him how to stay afloat but swimming? Not so much.

"Aw, don't you worry about it. Anyways, are ya comfortable with using shallow water for the training, I don't wanna take any precautions just yet." Weaseltooth gave a soft smile as he purred to the apprentice.
"Can we start off in shallow water so I can avoid the risk of full drowning? I haven't been swimming before and it looks rather difficult..." Frostpaw asked in a nervous tone. He seemed willing to try. He didn't care where, he was more worried about sootpelt at the current time. When Birdsnow was picked for deputy, something about Sootpelt changed- she'd been more snappy, aggressive. She'd even managed to scratch him during a training session and draw blood.
Sootpelt gave Charredpaw a quiet, sombre look before leading him to a shallow area of the water. She wouldn't let her younger apprentice drown, especially since she liked him more than frostpaw- he would've been better with Birdsnow, since the two seem so similar in personality. Just the thought of the young deputy ticked Sootpelt off. She quietly waited and began to explain to Charredpaw how to swim.
"Alright, first up- ya get into the water. Just up to your neck, any higher and you'll get your muzzle wet. Now, using your front legs, pretend your digging a hole while kicking with your back legs." She explained, and with some effort Charredpaw was swimming with grace- albeit very slowly and carefully.

*Bluefang nodded and let Frostpaw go first into the water*
