Oh no the nice cat was TOUCHING IT. Was she going to die now?? Elkkit barely had time to babble out a response before someone else tapped him on the head, Mom stood over him, and Dad scooped him right up. He struggled against Lioncrest's paw for a moment before resigning to his air jail fate.

As prompted, he pointed a paw in the direction of the stick Redhawk was touching. "Snake!" he shouted.

Okay, so it was definitely a stick and not a snake. Redhawk's gaze flickered between Lioncrest and Dovefluff, wondering how the kits parents wanted to handle this. Then finally green eyes looked back to Elkkit, who was pointing a paw at her and shouting about the snake. Somewhere in her she knew that she shouldn't indulge the kits fantasies, but she couldn't resist.

Rising her paw she gave the stick a good whack or two, paw coming down in quick succession. "Don't worry! I g-got it!" With the "snake" now dead, Red looked over towards Elk with a greatful smile. "G-Good job! You s-saved us from another ssss-snake," she purred with a duck of her head.

Was it wrong to go along with his kit-like reality? Maybe. But she didn't want him to feel bad or embarrassed that it was just a stick.

Mantiskit was grooming herself in the clearing when she heard one of the other kits yowl the word snake. She jumped to her feet and ran over to the yowl, mismatched eyes wide open. She scanned the clearing rapidly for the snake but she didn't see anything but for a stick but she did see when Dovefluff and Lioncrest arrived and Lioncrest whipped Elkkit away. Wait was the stick the snake? Poor thing, he had thought that the stick was a snake. Walking up to where Lioncrest had placed Elkkit after putting him down and rubbing herself against him Mantiskit meowed i id okay, Ewkki. I id jud a bwanch. No a dnake. She winced at the sound of her voice because she hated the way she sounded but reassuring Elkkit was more important then everything being perfect right now. @dino. (Open)

A quick huff of air blew out from the large tom's muzzle as his son pointed towards the wet stick that Redhawk had trapped under their paw, and the surge of protective adrenaline that had coursed through his body slowly began to dissipate. Gently removing himself from the solid stance he held above the kit, Lioncrest deposited his son out of air jail and back next to his mother. Redhawk's rapid *thunks* to subdue the "stick snake" pulled a spark of amusement to his gaze as he observed the molly, but he elected not to intervene in her attempts to placate his son's mistake.

"At least we know his lungs work," he murmured to Dovefluff, voice rumbling low before returning his attention to Elkkit and adjusting his tone to be a bit more authoritative. "You did very well alerting us to a perceived danger Elkkit. However, to avoid snakes in the future, ask myself or your mother to accompany you outside the nursery."

If they had many repeats of such verbal calls to danger, he was certain his clanmates would grow tired of his kin and perhaps true danger would be disregarded as a false alarm. Now he'd have to see if he could get ahold of a snake to give his kits a thorough lesson on the dangerous creatures...

He dashed up, looking for the creature in the middle of camp. The young apprentice let out a small gasp. Before he calmed himself down. "Seriously...? Its a small little stick, Elkkit." He said, sitting by the small cat, looking at the warrior beside the small kit. "It is a stick- right?" He asked Redhawk, who happened to be beside Elkkit, looking for any of his friends.

CrowThorn padded out of the Warriors den and into the clearing, He looked around to see if he could find MintWhisker somewhere in the camp. He yawned, and thought, I should take my share of fresh kill, It's been a while.
He looked about once more before Trotting over to the Fresh kill pile where he took a large rabbit. he looked around for a spot to sit, But MintWhisker was not the one beckoning him.
