Oh! Oh! Misses Bumblystar was calling! Now that little Poppykit was aaaall better and no longer in the plant den (or sleeping) she could come when Bumblystar called. Teehee, maybe she'll even see Plumy and Fleckfleck! The wobbly kitten hurried out of the nursery, a happy giddy expression on her face as she happily plopped down. She'd been so alone ever since Plumy became Plumypaw (she hadn't even gotten the chance to congratulate him!), she hoped she'd get to join him and Fleckfleck soon!

Cold. It was so frigid; unbearably cold. Its glacial breath coated her tri-colored coat as the naturally small feline stood petite outside of the narrowed entrance of the tree-like medicine den. Her wet-down paws compressed lightly against the serene symphony of white snow. The sky was muted, bearing no trace of the luxurious sun behind its bleak gray clouds. Snowflakes danced daintily in the air, weaving a lazy blanket over the porcelain-colored landscape. Springpaw’s deep blue eyes hawkishly observed the clearing, locking momentarily on the faintest stain of strawberry red that still tainted the frosty attire, the horrific memories of the gruesome incident still glued immensely to the deepest, darkest crevices of her young child brain. Even with the world draped in stillness at the very moment, the tangible memory of cruel death and suffering still struck her as quickly as the whipping of branches within the barren trees. Frost danced around her nostrils from each exhale into the icy embrace, blowing away as quickly as a bee’s wings from the invisible embrace of winter wind. It moved in a gentle, yet persistent force, brushing against her coat with flecks of white sticking to her pastel calico coat. Her ears stung as they flicked to maintain a glimpse of warmth, only achieving to no avail. The day had seemed to be so warped in chaos, only gradually unfolding with each passing day.

It worried her, much more than the dreadful thought of battle drawing itself among her clan. ShadowClan and RiverClan were at ThunderClan’s throats, and with cats going against each other… Springpaw could only merely assume the worst potentially happening. Forcibly, she sucked in a breath through her clenched teeth, her oriental-shaped ears fully erect as she listened to Bumblestar’s call. Curiosity was faint, only caked by worry and unease by possibilities of what this meeting may foretell. A deep sigh drew past her frost-bitten lips, her limbs stiffly moving. Her ears briefly angled downwards towards the sound of the soft crunching of snow beneath her numb paws, but her eyes remained focused on her leader intently, waiting for the potentially chaos-adorned meeting to finally start.

Off the top of her head, Bumblestar could count eight. Eight kits ready to start training, which mean more future warriors, which was one-hundred percent a good thing. She just hoped they'd actually stick with it the whole way through.

Mantiskit listened. New apprentices were always a good thing, and she knew that the other kits must be very excited that they were becoming apprentices.

Grovekit fidgeted restlessly just outside the nursery. All she could think about was how far away her own apprentice ceremony was — 2 moons, but it would take forever! She bared her teeth absentmindedly, hoping the kits would go up quickly so she didn't have to be jealous for too long....
