Long ago, there was darkness. Silence filled the coves. The waves crashed, but no sound emitted. A wanderer by the name of Cormorant stumbled apon a small cove, hidden from the world. The first sound appeared. The crashing of the waves on the rocks. Cormorant was in awe of the cove's beauty, and decided to settle there. Many cats stumbled across the cove, and Cormorant welcomed them with open arms. One day, they decided to make a group there. Less and less cats came to the cove, and Cormorant wanted the cove to be a home for everyone. So, she established CoveClan. While exploring, she came across a pool of starry water. She tasted it to see if it was safe to drink from, when StarClan came down. They granted her nine lives and the name Cormorantstar. They spoke of the ways of the clan, and Cormorantstar passed them along to the clan. That night, when the tide was the highest, Cormorant saw StarClan. They spoke nothing, and that was when she knew CoveClan would be safe.
