Honeypetal smiled at the news before hearing their mother calling. "Coming!" Honeypetal called back out, trotting towards Weepingwillow.
Weepingwillow gave her daughter a somber look, licking her ear. "Honeypetal, I need you and your brother to visit Emberkit more. I know it;s sudden, but cinderkit and Skykit are both severely sick with Whitecough... and I don't want him to be alone while I'm with the girls. Alright? Please do it for your brother... and for me." Weepingwillow meowed, "Your father is also extremely distraught." Weepingwillow mewed, before she was mates with Nightwhisper he had a former mate, they had kits and everything. Two girls as well. But his former mate and kits had all died to greencough, Thats what made him so sensitive.

Acornfall rushed back into camp carrying the bundles of elderflowers he had found. He hared over to the medicine den, weaving around his clanmates, before setting them down. "Hollowpaw! Wolfpaw!" He called, slightly winded. "I brought some elderflowers!"
A familiar voice behind her, tone laced with urgency, caused the hornet to blink and look over. Immediately her ears went back, shame and guilt flooding her. "O-Of course. SSS-Sorry, Wolfhive" Embarrassment made her ears grow hot as she did an awkward back-hop away from the group, casting an apologetic glance towards Hollowpaw - who's statement only made her shrink back more. It was silly of her to think she could help... "Y-Yes, I will, I-I'm sss-sorry H-Hollowpaw."
"...Good luck," the hornet murmured with a forced smile, voice a bit squeaky, before turning and wobbling back into the medicine den as quickly as she could. She managed to make it to the nest that had been hers before collapsing down with another quiet 'mrrp!'. Red made quick work of tucking her nose under her tail, yellow-green eyes peering out of the entrance and into the clearing.

Okay, so meeting your father with all your siblings around is nice and all, but Spiderlingkit wanted some exclusive father-daughter time, and father-daughter time she was going to get! She knew that she should probably tell Auntie Daisy she was leaving, but Auntie Daisy was so busy with everyone, should she even bother? Besides, she'd be with her father! There's no harm in that.
So, Spiderlingkit went on and ventured out into the vast clearing all on her own, a challenge for a kitten who'd hardly been out yet, and on such stubby little kitten legs -- bleh, they better grew like daddy's! Speaking of, there he was! The kitten positively lit up as she spotted the calico tom, hurrying towards her look-alike with a happy trot and a waving paw. "Daddy! 'emember me? I wanna spend the day with you, today! You're free, right? Or I can help you work? You ain't lookin' like you're doing anything right now."

Upon hearing the news that he was apparently a father...which came as a surprise. None the less being a father to a she-cat he'd never seen nor interacted with for more than maybe a minute before, he was doing his best to figure out how to gently tell the kits that he was, in fact, not their father.
So upon the words 'daddy' being tossed out and in his direction, the deputy paid no mind. He wasn't used to answering to that call, nor to such tiny kits. Most of the time they avoid him...which he'll happily take. He hadn't even realized he was being followed up until he practially almost stepped on her.
Ah yes. The creepy clone. It was almost as if he were looking at the past. Eyes peering down at one of his supposed 'kits' , a pause as he attempted to process...well...what exactly he was going to do. Not like he could have a kit glued to him all the time, he had a reputation to uphold. Let alone a kit that wasn't his. Asterdance or Goldenwing would take them in, in a heartbeat, him however? Not so much. They were loud, slobbery, boogery, slimey and smelly. And tiny. He could crush them easily. He almost crushed one.
"About to go demote some warriors because they never showed up for their patrols. Lots of yellin. You wouldn't like it." he said simply. It's what he was doing, sure, but there was rarely ever any yelling. Just dissapointment. Another rather familiar looking kit catching in the corner of his eye. Oh no. On no what if they're all coming out. He can only evade for so long.

Wolfhive was getting really irked with a certain somebody. Everything was going to hell, and outside the hawk Spiderthroat didn't seem to be around.. not even for his own kids.
"Spiderthroat!" There would be no mistaking Wolfhive's voice as it echoed across the clearing.

Why. Why could no one just come up and walk to him instead of yell for him. So far the only reasonable one was...ah. Redhawk. It was just Redhawk. The tom simply stood at the camp entrance. Contemplating simply turning away. So, he took a step towards Wolfhive instead. Ears angled forwards because although he was absolutely Bumblebutt's son, in every way, he wasn't drowning in any ego from it. So, there was a decent ammount of respect for the tom, one that would even rival the past medicine cats. Which was saying alot.
Speaking of medicine cat's he's gotta check in with Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw...mainly for some scratches.

His perfect target showed itself. Or well his sister made him realize that his father was wondering about. This was just grand! The kit stalk from behind the deputy while he was busy talking with Spiderlingkit about things that don't matter at all. All that matter was playtime or annoying the living hell out of someone. To Fleakit, these two things were indistinguishable between each other. Now that he was behind his totally actual father, Fleakit sprang forth just like the insect his namesake came from and well... Tried to land on Spiderthroats back. He wanted to climb on top of his father since that was Thunderclan's special trait, climbing, and he was the specialist little boy. "Nough talkie, time for playie!" Fleakit shouted as he jumped at his father. So much for being sneaky.
There he was! Wolfhive wasn't bothering to mask how bristly his pelt was, how amped up he was over these bitter circumstances. There was nothing pleasant about this discussion, a conversation paved in the lifeblood of a queen.
Frankly, he was disgusted and he didn't hide the contempt as he squared up with the old man.
"How dare you?!" Though Wolfhive had tried to keep his composure, it was cracking from his anger and thus, his voice raised. "You knock up some she-cat and blatantly ignore not only her as she dies during kitting, but the children produced afterward?" Wolfhive's paw jerked to jab Spiderthroat in the chest. Wouldn't hurt him - well, not in a way that'd draw blood, but might hammer in how serious this was. "You're supposed to be a deputy. Cats're supposed to look up to you - so get your head out of your freakin' ass 'n act like it. Take responsibility for your actions and take care of your kits! It shouldn't be just on Softdaisy to raise 'em, it's on YOU as their goddamn father."
Another jab.
"And if you keep trying to ignore them, you'll have more to worry about than just being yelled at in the clearing!"
A final hiss, his tail lashing. "Do I make myself clear, Spiderthroat?"

Stars forbid a kit try to spend some time with her father! The blind oaf was blatantly ignoring her, and when he did finally take notice of the spider at his paws, those huge stompers had the audacity to almost step on her. Truly! You’d expect better from a father and deputy; Spindthroat could be happy the kitten was feeling generous today, blatantly ignoring the previous facts in favour of acknowledging his words instead. “Like hell! I ain’t scared of a bit o’ yellin.”
Spiderlingkit exclaimed, stubbornly staying at his side like a web stuck yours paws, only being interrupted by the arrival of her brother. “Fleakit, this’ no playin’ time! We gotta go help daddy yell at the demoted warriors. Let’s go!”
The kitten wasted no time, ordering about her littermate and proudly puffing up her chest, ready to follow their father straight to his job. Like a sticky spiderweb. No getting rid of her that easily.
