Bri shivers violently as a gelid draft sweeps harshly through her pelt, piercing through to her very bones. She can't help but internally curse that she heard Bumblestar's call despite herself, though for that she feels very guilty about- so she's out here right now anyways and has not pretended to still be soundly asleep in her shared nest next to Acornfall. Uhhhggggg, she hates leafbare. The bi-colored she wraps her tail around her tightly, curling up into a condensed ball of fluff and misery, curled ears folded against her head in an attempt to save them from freezing off. She'll pay attention, but not happily. The warrior huffs, a her breath visible as it clouds in front of her. This is how you know it's too cold to be out here. Right there. She groans to herself, burying her head in her chest fur, desperately searching for some way to bring up her body temperature.

At the call to gather, Hollowpaw pokes his head out of the medicine den but he does not exit fully. Too cold to be out in the open, so he stays put. It's not like there's anyone here he'd willingly press himself against for warmth. He can hear just fine from here, and the den blocks most of the wind chill so it's fine. He's fine.

Horizonpaw hates everyone. Well, not really. Maybe. But one thing she hates more than other cats is being alone. As much as she'd tear someone's throat out for looking at her wrong, she would rather have their company than be alone. So now she's looking for a victim. And who better than to bother than the Medicine Cat apprentice? A small smirk spreading across her muzzle for a brief moment, Horizonpaw makes her way over to the medicine den, where Hollowpaw had his head sticking out

"Warm in there?" She asked, a soft smile on her face. She turned her green gaze to Hollowpaw's, blinking. "Doesn't it get lonely in there?"

Titanite eyes narrow on the apprentice who approaches, slipping into the entrance of the medicine den without waiting permission. He has half a mind to snap at her and shoo her away, there are plenty of other, more willing, apprentices she can force her company onto instead of him. But it is cold out, and despite Horizonpaw having a visibly thicker coat than himself, Hollowpaw still finds him thinking that if she doesn't get away from the chill she's liable to come down with an illness, and that's one of the last things he wants to deal with. So, instead, he humors her nothing questions.

"No," he answers simply to the question of if it's warm in here. It's not, at least compared to Green-leaf. Compared to the temperature in the clearing proper? It's still not warm, but at least there's no wind. And then, the question of if he's lonely in here... tch, how could he be? There's always someone in the medicine den. If it's not Wolfhawk it's a patient and if it's not a patient it's Wolfhawk. "How you could mistake this den for lonely is really and truly baffling." He does not push to further the conversation he doesn't wish to be having, just answers their questions and moves on.

Oakkit had wanted to leave the nursery to get a better look at the meeting, but then she heard the request for the kits to stay in the nursery. Oh. Well that's a shame. Still, Oakkit tried to look over the older kits who were huddling at the front of the entrance.

Dawnpaw tried to stay warm but she had nobody to huddle to. She stayed where she was

noooo! she wanted to go out, be at the meeting, not waiting by the nursery! why have a ceremony with the past looming over her, as if she'll never escape kithood? she only didn't pout because at least she was becoming an apprentice. right? why else be singled out? for funsies? Beetlekit tucked her chin and peered wide-eyed at the stormcrest. fine. she'll stay warm, as stupid and dumb and embarrassing as it was.

Beetlekit shot a quick look over her shoulder at the peeking kit. oh, did they want a look...? well, it wouldn't hurt, would it? the to-be 'paw dropped her shoulder some, hoping to let Oakkit have a clear view. besides, it was warmer when she crouched to the ground.
