DandelionPaw jumped in surprise at the loud yowl behind them.. and collided with said culprit roughly mid jump making it seem more like a high powered hop as DandelionPaw crashed back down to the ground.
She rolled to the side her chin throbing where it met the earth below, confused she looked around.
"oww ow, why did a branch get so low-ooh!"
She exclaimed seeing sunpaw, her concerns pausing as she looked at the near identical cat.
who is this? Why do they look like me well not completely, they do have a actual tail i suppose... huh.. I wonder If papa liked more then momma..

DandelionPaw blinked out of her thoughts quickly hurrying over to see if the other apprentice was alright.
"Are you alright? Hope i didn't mess up your fur to badly"

( @Kix ) the fact their near identical and have the same kit babysiting habits amuses me greatly)

Flintclaw's ear twitched at the ex-medicine cat's admission. No, strike that. He didn't have that ear. The burning sensation of his phantom ear made his tail tip twitch where it was wrapped around the young apprentice beside him. Did he hear that right? Wolfpaw had wanted to step down, was it? Is that why he neglected his clanmates? Spiderthroat certainly had a point. He could've stepped down after and just done his duties... but instead, they were here. They were all here. Without an official medicine cat.

Or were they?

Pale eyes flicked between the deputy and Treetiger, narrowing slightly as he tilted his head. Whatever the molly had done that day must have impressed the deputy, because he didn't even ask the practically asleep warrior if she wanted the position of medicine cat. His jaw clenched slightly as Treetiger's eyes held a glaze like a cat that wasn't actually awake. She spoke. She agreed with only one word... but panic rose in her eyes as she looked at the gathered crowd.

Flintclaw wasn't sure what to think. Perhaps if he had been a little more aware on the day the patrol had returned, he would be able to sort through these thoughts better. Sort through the strange occurrence that was happening in front of him. Treetiger had been out for a while. Did Spiderthroat speak to her about this one of the many times he couldn't stand the medicine cat den and slipped out? Maybe. That didn't make sense, though. That would mean that this entire event in the clearing would've been premeditated and, while he didn't doubt that Spiderthroat was intelligent enough to do such a thing, he doubted that the deputy wouldn't have acted sooner if he foresaw the severe reasons for the sudden change of medicine cats.

He would just have to trust Spiderthroat's decision on this... but, with all the events of the passed weeks... from Bumblestar mistaking him for Wolfhive, the occasional and strange behavior during clan meetings, and even running directly into that fight without much, if any, surveillance ahead of time... to Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw failing to organize and heal all of the cats on that battle patrol... Well, he wouldn't say it out loud, but his faith was shaky at best. So far, it seemed like Spiderthroat was the sanist and most capable of them all, right now. He could pass off Bumblestar's comment as a fluke of waking from death itself, and the fight itself as a simple strategic error, but, right now, she was incapacitated, anyway. She had just died. Again.

This just meant he needed to heal faster. Somehow. He couldn't stay idle while he watched Thunderclan slowly falling apart. He needed to step up more. It didn't matter how much it hurt or wore him down. He needed to show fierce loyalty, and only bring up doubt in private if, and only if it was absolutely necessary. He could hope that others would do the same... because the last thing they needed on top of the sudden shift in high ranks was doubt on them.

So, his face stayed like stone, only a cold, apathetic look rested upon his features... Directed, naturally, at Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw. They had one more chance, so graciously given by Spiderthroat. He wondered if he would do the same if he had been in the deputy's position...

@Dolomedes (I mean, his tail IS still wrapped around Rosepaw, so, figured I'd just mention you haha.)

That’s all he needed to hear. A portion of him felt minimally guilty, he knew how tired she was. He understood she wasn’t fully comprehending what he had asked her to do. But it was okay, because he would sit with her as soon as she was conscious and give her that option. To pick. To choose. The choice was not getting robbed of her. But he needed to show that ThunderClan wasn’t falling apart. Because it wasn’t. And that high ranks are easy to replace. Him included. You mess up you get consequences.

As she looked at him, he gave her a gentle , quick smile. “Go rest. You e more than earned it. Sparrowpelt if you could assist her back in the medicine cats den it would be appreciated.” he instructed.

With that he moved forwards. “Any questions, comments or concerns can be brought to me for now until bumble wakes back up. Until than, Treetiger had taken the place of Wolfpaw. Hollowpaw remains the same. This social fiasco is dismissed.”

Dragonflykit watched on, sunrise coloured eyes unreadable. This fiasco was unacceptable- How Wolfpaw had become Thunderclan's Medicine Cat in the first place was something she couldn't see the sense in. Treetiger and such would do much better- She'd better, or Dragonflykit would paint a target on her back too. Wolfpaw here, on the other paw, had earned himself a spot in Dragonfly's enemies list. And you don't want to be on that list. The dark speckled she-cat watched from just in the shadows, yellow eyes twinkling darkly. Wolfpaw better watch his back- Spiderthroat had almost died. So that meant Wolfpaw should too.

Twitching her tail elegantly, the kit stood up and walked over to her father. "You're training Wolfpaw now?" Dragonflykit asked, her voice flat. It was more of a statement than a question, her eyes calculated. "How do you think that will go?" Her voice was more amused now- As if she thought it rather funny to see how the former Medicine Cat would act around her father. He had certainly seemed embarrassed, if not terrified when Spiderthroat had delivered his punishment sentence.

It seems like...the warrior that had helped them.. She was Treetiger, and she was replacing Wolfpaw. It was better than nothing, Quackpaw much preferred the cat who'd actually help them rather than the one who seemed bothered by everyone trying to get him to fix that head of his just earlier before Spiderthroat forced the two medics- well? One medic and one regular apprentice now- out of the medicine den. how in hell is that wolfman even still alive at this point. Especially since Spiderthroat looked like he was just one wrong move away from shredding that brown pelt. And for good reason. Muddy. Quacky gazed over the medicine cat's den. Muddy was still in there; they were probably still healing. The quacker will have them catch up on everything if no one else does before she does. They gotta know the things that's been going on around the, they have to!

But..she doesn't have much else to do, does she? Her mentor she doesn't even know is okay or not. The otters. The otters are gone. But everything's still not back to normal. Nothing's normal. Muddy still needs to fully heal before it gets back to normal. To think Quacky probably has to share a den with Wolfpaw now, though..

Pineblossom's ears were perked outside the medicine den, and when Sparrowpelt went inside to retrieve Treetiger, the queen looked after him. She had watered the she-cat a few times now, but now she was becoming the medicine cat? After generating herbs out of thin air? Well that was new.
