She hoped that Dovekit was around somewhere. Maybe the three of them could talk together for a bit. It would be good for the three of them. And Tawnykit wanted to discuss their situation, and if they were going to do anything about it.

Sighing quietly, she stared down at her paws, wishing she were anywhere but here. She knew that one day, she wouldn't be here. There was really no reason to stay in a place where she wasn't wanted. After all, this was the place where her mother had been murdered. She'd been younger then, but she still knew what had happened. This Clan had celebrated her mother's death, and her father was missing, as were Blackkit and Mountainkit. She wanted to run, but wouldn't yet. The only thing keeping her here were Dovekit and Onyxkit, and she wouldn't leave them until she knew they would be okay.

Without realizing she was doing it, a low growl erupted from her throat as she glared angrily at her paws. Her anger was directed at the Clan. She knew very well that she had to get away. If she didn't, she wasn't sure her sanity would last much longer. And she was somewhat mad after her talk with Bugpaw. He had unsettled her in some ways, although she wasn't going to show it. Lashing her tail, she looked up, no longer growling and peered at her only surviving brother.

Carefully, she got up and padded away, knowing that if Onyxkit wanted to talk, he would. She down near the edge of camp, her head low and tail down. She still wished that she were anywhere but here, as long as it was somewhere that wasn't a Clan. She knew that she would probably leave, but not until after she'd learned the basics of hunting and fighting. Closing her eyes, the brown tabby began to work her claws into the ground, tail flicking agitatedly behind her. Blinking, the soon-to-be apprentice saw Onyxkit moving. She stood and slunk carefully through the throng of cats, sitting down in front of him.

Her mother had been strong,a great leader that the clan would never appreciate. And Dovekit hoped to just like her.

But she wasn't going to let someone like Bucknight push her around.

Of course, she was also proud of her father. Not only was her mother a great warrior that would go down in history - though depicted as 'evil' while she really wasn't - but her father had also been an amazing warrior. He had been great as well. Dovekit had wished that he and Blazingnight had stayed in her life longer, but shortly after the murder of her mother during the attack Skyclan had launched on them, Burdockpool had gone missing along with two of her brothers - Blackkit and Mountainkit.

Though it was just that she wanted to become great like her parents, but she felt like she had to. How could she grow up to become nothing if both her parents were so great? She had to become something that the clans would talk about even after her death. She had to become something bigger than the clan and anyone else. She had to become strong and great, something that Blazingnight and Burdockpool could be proud of.

She had to become like them.

Dovekit's hazel gaze flicked up as she saw a familiar tabby pelt moving in the corner of her vision. She straightened up and noticed Tawnykit headed towards Onyxkit. She narrowed her orbs and watched for a moment, noting that they didn't really spoke at first, Tawnykit awaiting to see if their brother would want to speak to her, letting him talk first. The observer just rolled her orbs.

She hadn't bothered much with her family since the disapearenced of Blackkit, Mountainkit and Burdockpool. It wasn't that she didn't love them... she was jut focused on more important things than their family. How could focus on Tawnykit and Onyxkit when she was too busy thinking about her training when she would become an apprentice? Their apprenticehood was looming ahead, and she was ready to tackle it and prove herself... so why bother with Tawnykit and Onyxkit? She doubted that they would be able to help further her towards her ambitions.

But still... they were the only family she had left.... The delicate looking molly got to her paws and began to head towards her brother and sister. She wasn't sure what she would say to them when she reached them, feeling her felt heat up with the awkwardness. Dovekit was social- or at least when it would help her get what she wanted - but she still wasn't sure what to say around her family. She didn't want to bring up their parents or missing siblings in case it triggered one of them, but what else did they have to talk about? Dovekit wasn't like either of her remaining litter-mates, making her feel like an outsider within her own family.

So when she reached them, Dovekit remained silent similarly to how Tawnykit had, waiting to see if either of them would speak first.
Onyxkit internally sighed when he realized his sisters refused to start the conversation. Why me? He thought silently, dread pulling at his heart. He didn't know how to begin anything, even a conversation. Out of the three kits, he was probably the most insecure. He didn't think very highly of himself, and he was always fearful of confrontation. He despised socializing. But the two kits before him were his only living family - that he was knowledgeable of, that is. He genuinely wanted to get to know them. And so he spoke.

``Um, hi,`` He meowed, his tail-tip twitching uneasily. It's so awkward! With a brief sigh, Onyxkit cut straight to the point. They were family - they wouldn't judge him, would they? ``Okay, we've all been terribly effected by everything. Our mother's death, and our father's and brothers' disappearances. So... how do we deal with it? Where do we go from here?`` He had adopted a confident tone as his short speech continued, though it was rather forced. He didn't want his littermates to see him as weak - especially with the knowledge of their parents. He couldn't be a disappointment, he wouldn't. Gathering determination, he straightened his spine and squared his shoulders. And he continued to talk, ``We're kin, and we're all we have left. My thoughts of this - we need to stick together. Our mother's name is despised within these Clans, so what do they think of us? We're probably just more mouths to feed to them, useless and wastes of space. And alone, that's what we are to them. Personally, together, I think we can prove them wrong. We have to; for ourselves and our future families. We can't give up on these Clans, though, okay? Only weaklings and traitors do that, and we're neither. What are your guys' thoughts on our situation..?``

Onyxkit enjoyed taking charge of the conversation, and he held his head high proudly. It was all quite an act, though, to hide his insecurities beneath confidence. And it was a good idea.. something he'd keep, and continue to do. He said it himself - their clanmates could not see them as weak, and if he continued to sulk, that's what he would be in their eyes. For now on, he'd hide his anxiety beneath a facade. His tail-tip twitched lazily at his side, and his chest was puffed out to offer a leaderly posture. His ears would often swivel at the sounds of camp surrounding him, but he kept his golden eyes on his sisters, determined to show both confidence, interest, and loyalty.

His ears would often swivel at the sounds of camp surrounding him, but he kept his golden eyes on his sisters, determined to show both confidence, interest, and loyalty.
The small, dark furred brown tabby looked at Dovekit, her amber hues flickering nervously between her family. She clenched her jaw, wishing that this was not all her family. Four were gone, and she felt deep in her heart that none of them were coming back. A slight shudder ran down her spine as he spoke. But nevertheless, Tawnykit nodded at Onyxkit's words, pretending not to feel slightly disappointed. She realized that she knew exactly how he would take to her plans. He would see it as an act of weakness and betrayal. That above all was something she couldn't bare, and lowered her head, working her long claws into the pine needles, once soft but now hardened by thick, cool ice. But she silently wondered if both of them would judge her for it, and hold the judgement. A low growl rumbled from deep in her throat, starting off quiet and getting ever louder. She glared at the ground, then closed her eyes, the grown fading slowly to no more than the contest of rumblings.“I don't know, but.... You've got a point I suppose.” she suppressed a sigh, realizing that in a sense, he had unintentionally called her both a weakling and a traitor, as she had lost faith in both ShadowClan, and everyone but her littermates. Gathering her courage, she squared her shoulders and readied to speak before the lost her composure and gave up on speaking her mind. “But I don't see any point in staying. I know how you'll feel about my point of view, but we're littermates, and I trust that we can speak openly.” she began, pausing to have a long, shuddering breath. “But I can't stand this place. Everybody, they look at us as if we're disgusting and frightening, and not like them. Like we're monsters.” She said, spitting out the last word like she'd bitten into a piece of crowfood, her eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and helplessness. “These... warriors, they don't see us as individuals, but as reflections. Reflections of cats that they believe to be evil. They don't see us, but rather, what they want to see.” she said, releasing moons of pent up anger. Once she'd spoken, she felt oddly empty, as if she had filled herself with nothing but anger. Tawnykit knew it wouldn't last long, but it felt good for the time being.

The small kit, just about apprentice age sat back, shifting uneasily. She looked at both her siblings, feeling her love for them flood her chest, and she made an odd, sniffly noise, trying to keep a face devoid of the sorrow she felt welling up inside herself. All she had left, and yet, she felt the burning desire to run. To leave them to face ShadowClan without her. She wanted badly to leave, to no longer have this weight settled upon her shoulders. She wanted to leave her siblings and let them deal with it on their own, but deep down, she knew that that would make her no better than the cats who'd celebrated their mother's death, and with fierce determination, she watched both siblings with an ebbing unease. “But I will not leave. Not unless it is evident that it is the only path available.” she said, sounding more confident that sure of herself than she felt. Then Tawnykit turned towards Dovekit, wondering what Dovekit had to say about all this.

Redflight's tail lashed as she glanced around the Clearing once more. No one seemed to want to approach her. No one seemed to care that she was...angry. Does anyone ever care? She thought with a snort. It seemed to be the same story every time. No one cared about the needs of a single warrior. After all, they were just there to be sacrificed for 'the good of the Clan,' weren't they? Battles were just ways to keep the Clans from getting too many cats in them. Everyone seemed to want the security of a Clan, and yet...even surrounded by dozens of warriors daily...Redflight quite often felt alone. She wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it was remembering her slightly better, earlier moons. Maybe it was thinking about all her failed friendships. Either way, Redflight was done. She was done caring about what other cats might think, she was done caring for everyone else, she was completely and utterly...done.

A moment later she heard something behind her. Was there someone talking to her? Of all cats, why her...why now...couldn't they tell she wanted to be alone? Obviously not. She thought with a sigh, before clearing her throat and turning to look at the tom, for a moment a more pleasant look in her dangerously narrowed hues before they slitted completely and became darker. She looked up at the sky and sighed, thinking about what he had said for a moment before she turned her hues towards the tom who had spoken, for the moment being looking almost as though she would take him up on his offer. Who does he think he is? What does he want from me? What is he going to do to me? Redflight thought, her mind spinning as she glared at the warrior. "I'm not hungry. Find someone who actually cares." She mewed in a low voice, getting to her paws and looking as though she was about to walk away. She glanced back at him momentarily, an almost curious look shining in her hues before she shrugged and turned back around. She didn't need company. And really, why, out of all the lovely, friendly, petty cats here in ShadowClan...why would he pick the one who hates everything? She thought.

It didn't make sense to her.
The she cat was furious. Like he was when his brother slapped a paw full of mouse bile onto his head when they were tending to the elders earlier in apprenitce years. He could understand where she was coming from, but what was it that infuriated her? Missed prey. Got caught I'm brambles. Did someone peeve her off? he looked up and scanned the clearing as she stayed at him, nobody seemed like and obvious choice. he retunred his gaze back to her's. Returning her fiery eyes with his own honey glazed optics. They had this calming effect which was often used on cats like redflight here. Un fortunetly it didn't seem to be working. Her curious gaze starting changing to something significantly darker then what they were before and he almost flinched. Her face changed the slightest bit and it scared him. Even though that shouldn't have. Her words stung like he had sat on an ants nest. Well. Nice try scorpion. Next time. he left the prey by her paws and turned himself. Perhaps it's me she doesn't care about. Every warrior needs to eat and at some point she'll have to eat. he then turned and was about to pad off when he was interrupted by a nagging voice again. Go back! Go back! Be friendly! It seemed she too was turning away as he was when she turned back to face him. His face lit up with excitement. Is she actually going to share? he thought his mind spinning with anticipation. He hid his smile and slowly tunred to face her. Taking a seat across from red flight. Terrified she may snap at him for taking the first bite.

Badgersong believed that Shadowclan was so much more than that, and he wanted to prove that, he simply wished that other warriors had as much pride in the clan as he did. Nonetheless, the tom continued to follow after Sorrelbreeze, not scared of her apparent anger.
"You're correct, but it is my duty to make sure Shadowclan prospers, and that can't happen if we have warriors not doing their duties." Meowed the tom in a rather matter-of-fact tone, ignoring what she said next simply because he saw no reason to respond to it, knowing that it would only cause more aggression from the she-cat. Badgersong saw himself as a respectable warrior, not the best at hunting due to his scar that sometimes restricted his movement, but a very decent fighter.
When the she-cat settled down somewhere else, he simply followed and then stood near her side with a flick of his tail, yellow gaze focused on her.
"And quite frankly, I haven't ordered you to do anything yet, I asked a simple question. A very simple question really, I inquired about what you were doing, and then I suggested that if you attended to your duties, then I would leave you alone. Now I don't recall at any point me saying anything along the lines of 'You will do your duties this instant.' or 'You're going on a patrol right now.'" His voice hadn't rose at all, it was the same tone as when he first approached her. And his expression? Completely neutral, though with a stern hint to it, just like before.

When she left the tom to be alone and cool down, she did deep breathing to simmer down her anger and it actually felt like it was working. The heat began to vanish and she felt a cool feeling and began to relax. She even let out a little purr. She opened her eyes again as a newly calmed cat. Then she noticed he came back. The heat immediately went back in her body. This time, she didn't try and hide her anger. Growling that first came out quiet gradually got louder and all her fur on her tail and back rose on end as if they had minds of their own and was just as upset as she was. She rose and with her claws and fangs exposed, she glared her yellow eyes up at him and spat, "Listen here, okay? I understand I have duties to attend to. I am not mousebrained like you think I am. I understand that I prey to hunt. But let me show you sometime your own eyes can't see." She flicked her tail over to the fresh kill pile. "Look at how much food we have. Look at how full every cat's bellies are. This is in leafbare as well. What is the point of hunting more prey if we already have a mountain of them here in clan? Do you want all of the food around here to be completely gone?" she hissed. Sorrelbreeze felt a bit embarrassed for blowing up one another clanmate. She wasn't the type of cats who was in full control of her emotions and didn't really know how to hide them well. She didn't have anger issues, she knew this. But this tom. This tom right here who looked down on her with his yellow eyes. His voice. Everything about him irritated him. Why did he have to come back? Why? She felt like she was in a nightmare that never ended.

The reddish colored she cat glared at the tom, watching as he turned away. She nudged the prey away from her paws, staring at it as though he had offered her crow-food. Disgusting. She thought, wrinkling her maw at the prey. She hadn't lied to the tom, technically at least...she really wasn't hungry. And she didn't feel like eating. Her hues widened in surprise and then became more and more angry, beginning to flash with aggravation as he sat across from her. Didn't I literally just tell him to get out? She thought, her body tensing up until she looked ready to spring at the first sign of danger. The first sign that he might try to make any sort of movements towards her.

"I don't want anything to do with you! Why are you here, anyways? And why, of all the cats around you, would you come here to me? I couldn't care less about you and your stupid prey, and if you're expecting a thanks you aren't going to get one, so take it and leave me alone! What's wrong with you, anyways? Can you not tell the type of cat who hates other cats from the type of cat who doesn't? Now go and play with the stupid cheerful cats like you, because I can't stand them." She snapped, getting to her paws and nudging the prey further towards him. She wanted him out of her sight. Out of her life, more like, but since she didn't really know him, out of her sight would do just fine. Just as long as he didn't dare to come near her anymore. He had looked happy. And Redflight hated him for it... how dare he look so happy? How dare he be so happy? How dare he just be...there, at all? The she cat could feel a snarl rising up in her throat and held back, waiting for the tom to take his prey and dart out of there like he should. Like a coward.
