Sunmist looked up as a molly walked his way, and he recognized her as Roseblaze- at least, he was fairly sure that was her name. "I'm fine," he chattered back. "Just a bit cold, though I think we all are. How are you holding up?" He was in the middle of glancing around his clanmates once more when a small voice called out, and the tom twirled around. "Quick!" He called to the cat beside him. "There's a kit by himself, I don't think his mother is nearby." The orange tom only spared the she-cat a second glance before moving as quickly as he could over to the kit.

He crouched down besides the young scrap as soon as he reached him though all the mud. "There now, little one. It's all going to be alright." He used his tail to wrap around the kitten, hoping to bring some comfort and possibly some warmth to him. "I need you to stand up, okay? We can't stay here; we need to get somewhere safer. If you're too tired, I could carry you," he offered, turning to briefly look for Roseblaze. While he had left to help the kit, he wanted to make sure she was still fine- despite the fact that it was her who had been offering Sunmist some help.

Roseblaze shrugged. "I'm fine, just looking for cats to help." The she-cat sighed. "It's hard to keep every cat together in a situation like this." She shook some mud out of her pelt and was about to speak again, when the tom, Sunmist? Roseblaze thought, hurried over to a kit stuck in the mud. She quickly scrambled over to see the condition of the small kitten.

Dewkit looked up at the tom standing over him. His words barely registered within the small kit's brain, but he assumed that he needed to stand. The grey tabby stood, his legs shaky and covered in mud. "I-I c-can w-w-walk," he mewed, his teeth chattering from the cold mud seeping into his fur. The four moon old kit took a few steps forward. "See? I'm fine." He smiled half-heartedly, trying not to dwell on the fact that his whole family was gone. Dewkit shivered again and pressed himself against the tom's legs. He looked up at him. "I'm Dewkit. Where are we going? Is StarClan angry at us? Is that why our territory flooded?" he chattered, questions flooding his mind much like the water flooded ShadowClan's land.

Sagegrowl didn't say anything, she was terrified. Though she didn't show it, the molly could have easily been shaking all over. Using all of her motherly spirit, she had managed to comfort her kit, but she was terrified.

Rosekit was afraid, the water was threatening from the eyes of a young kit and she looked at her mother. She always seemed to be so calm, and Rosekit admired that. She knew, however, both of them were panicking on the inside.

The young queen hoped that Rosekit hadn't noticed how terrified she was. Sagegrowl didn't want to make her kit scared. If Rosekit knew that she was scared, then Rosekit would get scared, and that wasn't good. She cared a lot about Rosekit. The flood waters scared enough kits as it was. Sagegrowl was aware that Rosekit was already scared, but if Rosekit knew that she was scared, Rosekit would be terrified.

The vitiligo she cat hissed at that " there are plenty other cats helping others! Your more important! Your condition is not safe for this type of disaster . And besides I'm not letting you get even more hurt " shortsoul said softly at the end and put her tail around the apprentice and felt her shiver.

Sunmist managed a small smile as Roseblaze reached him, mentally agreeing with her statement. It was very hard to keep a group of cats together in a mess such as this, and he hoped not too many of his clanmates would be lost. The tom turned down to look at Dewkit as he rose, thankful that he seemed strong enough for walking, if a bit cold. "Nice to meet you, Dewkit. I'm Sunmist. We're going to higher ground so that we'll be safe from the floods," he explained to the kit, glancing over his shoulder to check the water following them. His heart clenched when he realized it was getting closer- and faster. They needed to get moving, so he encouraged the kit to move by pressing his tail into him and taking a few steps forwards.

He took a couple heartbeats to think of a response to the rest of Dewkit's questions. Was Starclan mad at them? He couldn't think of a reason why, but perhaps it was because of the biased views forming in the clan against other cats? It wouldn't make sense to punish the whole clan for it, however, so he decided that must not be the reason. "Of course they're not mad at us, we've done nothing wrong," Sunmist soothed the kit, glancing at Roseblaze to try and gather her opinion on the matter. "It's just been raining too much- sometimes things like this happen, and we just have to bare with it."

Pearlstream's gaze swept over the crowd. Where was Daturakit? Suddenly the sound of someone yowling her kits name hit her ears. She waited a while, just to make sure it truly was her kits name, and then she took off. Pearlstream's gaze raked the crowd as she ran, searching for her kit. Her gaze caught on Echoskip, and a small shape. Daturakit. Pearlstream picked up her speed until she was at their side.

Gingerpaw looked at the two apprentices. "What is it Dungpaw?" she asked, without a roll of her eyes. She was two worried about her clan to be sassy at the moment. Gingerpaw wanted to help the two male apprentices. But she needed to know why Dungpaw was frozen like that.

Rosekit decided to not comment on it, as she was already scared. She gazed away from the water, spotting a tiny bit of dry land. That'd feel nice under her paws, instead of cold muddy water. Rosekit purred at the thought of grass, but the mud would be annoying. Though, it was much better than drowning.

Shortsoul smiles and looked around . Everything was destroyed well for the most part. Her den was gone but it wasn't like she had much , she looked down at wildpaw and cleaned her fur .' I won't let this cat be left alone like I was.' She thought and purred as she cleaned wildpaw

Dewkit started walking, gazing around at the other cats. He looked back up at Sunmist as he answered the kit's questions. His brow furrowed in thought. "I guess you're right," he finally mewed. The tom looked up at Roseblaze. "What do you think?" he asked the calico she-cat.

Roseblaze looked down at the tom-kit. "I think that StarClan wouldn't do something like this to us. They're our ancestors, and they care about us. Besides, what have we done wrong?" she replied, licking the kit's ears in comfort. "We'll get through this. If I know one thing, it's that ShadowClan is strong, and we've got each other. So don't worry, okay?" she smiled at Dewkit before looking up at Sunmist. "Where are we going?" she murmured, making sure Dewkit didn't hear.
