moonpaw was surprised that her mentor was there to comfort her, her mentors had always been cold and harsh. Taking her anxiety and calling her weak and making her even more angry inside then she could fathom, yet as rainyeyes moved closer she felt a wave of calm though she was shaking she had learned to live, and move like nothing is wrong with her anxiety, it had taken moons but she was getting to a point where she could do anything even if it was there. Nobody would hurt me? Her thoughts raced like a leaf in a rainstorm. Everybody had seemed to hurt her in one way or another swiftclaw talldove as the thought of him crept into her mind she was reminded why she had come to shadowclan. To be safe, to be away from the toxic life she had been forced to live throughout her short life. Moonpaw gave a soft look in her eyes although she was still a bit terrified of training. No doubt the small molly wanted to learn yet in the past it had been so hard to learn without pain. As the cold wind whistles and whipped at her feathery ears she turned her freshly scarred muzzle into the wind, in windclan it had been so much more intense yet it somehow felt so calm here she took one more deep breath and turned back to rainyeyes though this time.
She gave the softest smile

The molly's expression switched to something more impassive, but she couldn't not let something leak into her eyes. Pity, perhaps; something better than the unease that rocked through her stomach. She wouldn't let it show. She'd become awfully good at hiding things. Raineyes’ stormwater gaze held her apprentice's for a moment, assessing the she-cat, but she looked away, tail twitching. “Looks like none of us are up for a good catfight,” she said, one side of her mouth flicking upwards. “So we'll probably go over the basics of stealth training. All that stereotypical Shadowclan stuff— you're light enough to have an advantage on me.” She was light enough to slink away unnoticed, but in the thick of battles they saw often, Moonpaw would be… pitiful, at best. It wasn't an insult, just fact: she wasn't made for combat. They'd have to remedy that, but she didn't seem excessively trusting of anyone. Even if Raineyes had guided her through a panic attack, they were still— surprise, surprise— strangers.

Pausing to measure her words, Raineyes continued, “I'd hope your mentors tried to teach you to keep downwind, to hide your scent. Your territory must have some good air currents, to circulate smells, but in Shadowclan you might find yourself in… close quarters, so to speak.” Sitting back on her haunches, Raineyes brought a paw to her mouth. “You can make yourself comfy, for now. I'm gonna be talking at you for a couple of minutes. This stuff's better actually taught before it's experienced. You'll be crap at it when you start off, so I'm gonna try and teach you to… Not suck.” She rolled her shoulders as she blinked, rearing into her lecture. The roar of guilt-fear-apathy began to lull, quieting in her ears. It was easier to focus on passing on pure knowledge than trying to assure the wellbeing of her apprentice in a more direct way.

“There are a lot of smells around here, most of them stronger than the last. Some of your people might say Shadowclanners stink. I won't lie, we do. But when we're on our home turf, becoming one with these mires and forests is what we do best. If you're quiet and unscentable, getting the edge over other warriors becomes easy as hunting… I think. I don't like to fight too much, I'm afraid, but I think we have that in common. How do you think we do it? Mask our scents, I mean?”

She did the same as before, putting a little more power into her back legs when she bounced from the hard ground. Crookedpaw landed on Rapidpaw's back, realizing she had done good, a smile was planted on her face.

Dovetalon watched as she did it perfectly. "There we go. So theres the lesson here. Never fight a cat that is much bigger than you.", he meowed. It was one of the important rules in battle.

Rapidapw felt himself crushed by Crookedpaw. He lightly pushed her off to make sure he didn't hurt her. "You got that move faster then I did.", he praised.

"I think thats enough battle training today. Lets go a little hunting before going back to camp. If it's okay with you Crookedpaw Rapidpaw could go with us.", he meowed.

Rapidpaw looked at Crookedpaw with hope in his eye's, but he would be fine either way.

Nightfall sat in the nursery licking her paws. She hated it in the nursery she wanted to go out and explore the territory again. She wanted to hunt again and feel the wind in her face but she made a promise to her mate and she was going to keep it.

Dovetalon walked into the nursery with a mouse in his jaws. He walked over to his mate and placed it in front of Nightfall. "How's it going?", he asked. The tom knew that she hated it in the nursery.
