The long-furred leader placed his paws against the ground, easing himself forward. With each paw step, he was that much closer to his destination. Until he leaned forward, landing square on the back of the blue jay. Before it could even whistle its shrill alarm cry to the heavens, Windystar broke it’s neck with a simple nip to the spine. Pleased with his kill, and even more pleased with himself for not missing it, he decided that he’d take that and the rest of his haul back to camp. Darkrose bid farewell to her apprentice, Shatteredpaw, watching as the she-cat scampered away. She rolled her eyes at the troublesome cat, before turning and disappearing into the forest. Shatteredpaw, although a good apprentice, was not the best hunter. She had better get extra to make up for the she-cats' carelessness.

She padded through the trees, tasting the air for any sign of prey. She was surprised to smell Windystar, the newest leader, near her. She changed direction and headed off towards the wise cat.

She found him, looking around and scenting the air, as if he was looking for something. She slipped from the trees and nodded her head to him respectfully, noticing the Blue Jay clutched in his muzzle.

"Windystar," she purred. "It's good to see you."

She felt as if she owned the tom much more then she could give him. To her, he had saved her from a life of misery and loneliness by letting her into his clan.

"Is there anything I can do for you?' she asked. She wasn't to keen on going back to camp, as there were so many sick cats.

Mapleshatters’ tail swished around as she looking around the territory; stunning blue eyes dilated and a dreamy expression on her face. She needed to hunt, especially for the sick cats that were quarantined at the seastones. She pitied them, getting so horribly sick just after a battle had ended. The small feline knew she would have to “donate” it to the fresh kill pile, but at least she knew that some were coming out of there dens. She just started to creep towards the aroma before a cheerful cat came up next to her. “Just trying to hunt.” Her voice was quite monotone as she spoke, yet some of it was hidden by her strong accent. It was clear in her hued orbs, however, that she couldn’t care about the other molly trying to make conversation with her.

Butternutsun was a bit surprised at the accent, along with the huskiness of her voice, she flicked her tail some, forcing her voice to be quite as she had no intention of disturbing prey,” As am I, we could catch more prey if we hunt together.” She meowed

"You can stay by the bank," he promised softly, pressing his nose comfortingly to her blank, avoiding the cuts. "You won't have to get within a fox length of the water."
