As a kit, Otterpaw had always loved it when older cats asked her to share her battle moves. Even though they were mostly awkward leaps and clumsy scratches, she liked showing them off. It made her feel like a real warrior. Maybe she could even teach Finchkit a few real battle moves - with claws sheathed, of course - to show her denmates. She imagined the tiny she-kit attempting the complicated roll-and-leap move Mintflower had taught her yesterday and chuckled.

Otterpaw clearly knew what type of kit she was dealing with as Finchkit's hazel eyes light up in excitement, "Yes! I'm gonna be the best warrior in the entire forest!" The pale she-kit squeaked as she crouched down getting ready to pounce on the apprentice, "Get ready Otterpaw I'm really strong!" Finchkit mewed confidently before pushing off her hind legs in an attempt to tackle Otterpaw. The pale she-kit felt a surge of exhilaration as her tiny paws left the floor and she got closer and closer to the apprentice.

"Whoa!!" Otterpaw theatrically stumbled backwards and collapsed onto the grass, dramatically flopping her paw onto her forehead. Finchkit was light as a sparrow, but Otterpaw let the she-kit pin her to the forest floor. "Ouch, I've been defeated! I beg of you, please spare me, brave warrior!" the apprentice mewled helplessly in a tiny, frail voice.

"Well it looks like no one notices you at all. Same as me." His ear twitched. "How do they not notice the cats who turned into warriors recently?" Bluepetal frowned.

"It feels as if you are known and everyone is happy with you when you get you'r warrior name, but after that, everything changes."says Ashcloud, dissapointed in herself." Maybe I'm just not as good as the other warriors." Ashcloud said, feeling like she wanted to wail like a kit, but she was a warrior, not a kit in a nursery.
