Sagewhisker skidded to a halt as they arrived at the training grounds. "okay, do you know the tail yank?" she asked. He probably did, as it was a relatively easy move, but she just wanted to make sure.

Ribbitpaw glowered slightly as Mouseleap went along and mentioned being on the smaller side. He scrunched up his nose a bit. Smaller side?? He hardly considered himself on the smaller side. Not the largest cat out there, that was for sure, but he had assumed he was at least... average? If that was a thing. He wanted to make a sarcastic comment on it, but decided that it would be better to refrain from doing so. They'd already wasted so much time on small things like that, it would be better to just brush it off and get on with the lesson.

Plopping down briefly, the tabby tom listened as his mentor gave a brief overview of what they'd be trying to accomplish today. Works every time, huh? "How can you know it works every time?" he challenged. "Surely there's got to be some time when it didn't go right." Welp, there it was again. Just moments ago he'd promised himself to stop throwing in blunt little remarks, but here he was again, letting another slip from his mouth. It was simply something he did without thinking. Just a part of his character.

Sagewhisker grinned at the dark tom. Oh, how innocent he was. "Okay, first I'm going to explain it a bit so I can kind of refresh your memory, then we can actually do it" she mewed. "basically, if a cat is clinging onto your back, you bend your body," she bent her body so that her jaws were close to her tail, "You take a hold of their tail, and you yank on as hard as you can" she then held her tail in her jaws and yanked on it with her teeth. After letting it go, she turned back to face ashpaw, "the reason why you should do this is so that you can distract your opponent and have a better chance. To fling them off of you" she explained.

Dovekit was thrown off as Blackpaw shook her off his back, landing with a thud on the ground. The small kit was still for a second before trying to sit up.

“You ok there squirt?” Blackpaw tried to act nonchalant but he was sincerely worried. He padded tword the kit and nosed them a bit.

Sagewhisker nodded. She ran behind him and leapt into his back, gripping on tightly with her paws, though light enough not to hurt him.
