Nonetheless, they had nests waiting for them and likely friends and family as well.
"Well then, kiddo, Eaglepaw, your young highness, off we go."

Eaglepaw huffed in frustration as he glanced in the direction of camp. This means he had to go home to no friends or family. Well, at least he got to be all alone. He glared at Littlewish as his mentor started to call him names. "Can you please call me Eaglepaw?" he asked.

Littlewish began his way up the slope, his head still a bit muddled from being hit so many times. He'd have to start defending himself next time, or he'd get a concussion at this rate. But it was worth it! Ol' Eaglepaw seemed happy for a moment, or more than that, which pleased him greatly. It was nice to see the apprentice without a solemn expression on his face. As his apprentice's irritated yowl sounded behind him, he allowed his head to turn, a playful expression on his features.
"No, honey. Sorry Little Bird, but I cannot hold my nicknaming talent back for just anyone." He explained, shrugging his thin shoulders. He considered what he had said for a moment, "Buuut...if you race me up this hill, and you win, I'll consider it?"

Eaglepaw's tail flicked in annoyance. "Fine. But you better keep your promise" the tom told Littlewish. "And ... Go!" He tensed and suddenly broke into a jog, quickly building up speed and lengthening his strides.

Re: WindClan - Joining or Rejoining
This was it. This was what he should have done moons and moons ago, maybe not even that long after he had initially made the decision to leave. As Quince steps over the threshold that separated WindClan's territory from the rest of the world, a vastly different and almost foreign scent washes over him. The tom doesn't stop to mull his decision over, limping on through the tall grasses of the moor with his head low and darkened eyes on his dirty, dust-caked paws.
The fool had thought that he'd play the hero, the one to surely pick his daughter up and out of a surely doomed life once he found their sanctuary. In the colder season, he had barely eaten. He'd come across few other cats out in the wilds and some were not as friendly or even remotely passive. By the time it'd warmed up, Quince had already become an urchin of the suburb. Succumbing to the allure of easier prey- mice, rats, and the stuff twolegs discarded- kept him alive, and kept him vulnerable. He reeked of the sour asphalt and infection.
But for the past few weeks, the tom had been having one single repetitive dream. Each time he slept, it would be almost like a continuation of the previous one. He'd start at the beginning again, but make it a little bit farther night after night. For a while, Quince thought they were fever dreams, that he'd soon die in some indiscriminate corner of the world that nobody cared to think about. Twolegs would probably find him and put him where they put everything else they didn't want to see, in one of those giant green above-ground pits that smelled so bad but enticed so many for the precious food they contained in their disgusting mixture. It wasn't until he started to really hallucinate that he felt the urge to go home. Home...
Shame burned in him almost as hotly as the infection in the unhealed tear under his arm, hidden from sight if he was upright. Over the rise of the hill that stretched out before him, what he believes to be a flash of his deceased mate's pelt blinks into and out of sight, lingering only long enough to lead him on along a path he'd long since forgotten, bringing him further into alien territory. Soon enough, somebody would find him. He could remember that much. The rest, gone.

He would squeeze tightly, the start of a river of tears running down his face.
"I'm so, so, sorry. I failed...I couldn't protect her. I'm an idiot." He whimpered, his expression pained and sorrowful.

His eyes began to fill with tears and the little tom cuddled into Littlewish's embrace. "I.. I know *hick* you did your.. b-best *hick*." he sobbed, sniffing and his small body shaking with sobs.

Rabbitpaw went to dodge to the right, but ended up running right into her paw as she feigned to the right quickly. He made a loud OOF noise, falling over on his side and kicking up dust from the ground. He leaped to his paws, shaking out his fur. He continued to watch Lynxpaw, narowing his eyes in concentration.

And going off his own experiences - despite how long ago they were - was how he preferred to teach. "First, we're going to work on the crouch. You'll be using this on every hunt from now until you retire as an elder, it is the basis of every hunt." With that he slid into a loose crouch, belly close to the ground and body balanced, tail streaming out behind him as he moved out a few steps.

Rabbitpaw tried his best to copy Breeze, crouching and putting his tail low to the ground and walking a few steps. He looked a bit wobbly and a tad ridiculous, but he was sticking out his tongue in concentration.

Re: WindClan Territory
[open]
Crescentmoon was wandering through the territory, large belly swinging beneath her. Her stomach was bursting with pain, and the molly slumped over. Ugh. How long has she been- uh oh. Dumb cat Crescentmoon was, ignoring the fact that she was pregnant. Overly, in fact.
Laying down, she looked around for a stick, stomach pain growing. The kits were coming, and now.
“W-w- anybody!”
Her voice was split with a yowl of pain as the kits began their coming (or something), and Crescentmoon could do nothing but hope someone would come for her soon.

Re: WindClan Territory
Padding back from a walk after the Leopardpaw incident, Wishpool heard a cry. Bounding towards it, she stopped short, seeing Crescentmoon lying on the grass. What's happening? she asked, somewhat stupidly. @ Fallen One
