HERB PATROL IS DUE APRIL 16! IF YOU NEED AN EXTENTION PLEASE VM ME BY APRIL 15!
Rosepaw was feeling incredibly awkward about this. She was so very tempted to just go out and find everything herself, but she knew she did not have the time. The poor medicine cat apprentice, however, felt so awkward sending out patrols. Her mentor had allowed this and they both knew they were in urgent need of herbs so Rosepaw would have to get over her extreme awkwardness and actually send out a few cat to gather herbs.
"Uh, um, uh, guys? GUYS! It's uh...I have to assign herb patrols! I swear we're running super low on herbs so uh, I'm sending out two!" she announced loudly, hoping cats would notice.
"Okay, uh, so, okay. Um. Nettletongue ( @Adderbite ), please take Mistpaw ( @Jayvines ), Brightpaw ( @masquerade ), and Bumblepaw ( @Slushie ) out to Sunkissed Creek. We need catmint, which you should recognize by it's wonderful smell, sorrel, which has red stems and bright red buds and finally, daisy, which has long white petals and a yellow middle." one down, one more to go.
"Also, um, okay. Sleethound ( @sid ), please take Ivypaw ( @starry. ), Moosecrash ( @RiztheHuntress ) and Fallowpaw ( @Glacial ) out to The Weeping Tree. We need cobwebs, and marigold, which is bright yellow." she really hoped this was it and no one would throw a fit.

It seemed like she had only just managed to clean last of the mud from her fur when... Rosepaw was calling for her assistance??? Curious, Mistpaw hopped up and skittered over as the medicine cat apprentice explained that they were need for herb patrols... A beat of confusion stilled over Mistpaw before her eyes widened to the size of river stones.
She could go collect things??? AS A PROPER CLAN DUTY?!?!
The shudder of excitement that racked her body from her ears to her tail, was accompanied by a rare grin as she eagerly listened to the descriptions of each herb her group was supposed to find. What did Rosepaw mean by 'wonderful smell'? She supposed she'd find out whenever they found some of this 'catmint'. The other two seemed relatively distinct flower things, so she wasn't worried too much about finding those ones.
She gave her peer a quick nod in acknowledgement before her grey eyes flitted about to search for her patrolmates. Her paws were itching to start, so she hoped they wouldn't be long.
Mothflight moaned in pain. "I don't know!" She snapped, shoving Sundust off her, and almost fell down. "Arg... I'm gonna throw up..." She gasped for breath.
Oh, please don't throw up. If she did, he would have to be the one to clean it up. He wouldn't saddle poor Rosepaw with that kind of job. "Just take a breath, hold on a moment." He hurried back over to the herbs storage, collected a piece of soaked moss, and returned. "Drink some water," he instructed, "Have you felt nauseous often?" He needed to know how long she had been feeling ill in order to act acoordingly - if she had been sick for long then he would need to intervene immediately.
Cloudypaw hobbled into camp. The night was still young, so hopefully Sundust or even Rosepaw would be awake. Her silver fur was stained with Rainpaw's blood, and her useless, stupid leg was burning with pain from the weight she carried. Hobbling into the medicine den, she let Rainpaw slide from her shoulders into the nearest nest. "Sundust! Rosepaw!" She croaked, paws shaking. "I need... Rainpaw needs help."
Pain was the only thing Rainpaw felt as Cloudypaw carried her. She barely noticed as her sister dropped her into a nest, blue eyes closed. Briefly, she wondered if she would ever see the light again. Her consciousness seemed to fade, slowly but surely. Would this nightmare ever end? What if she did survive this? Would she even still be allowed to stay in ThunderClan, with so many injuries? She asked herself such questions as she drifted into a sleep, unsure if there would be a tommorow.
Sundust was in that weird state between being awake and being a sleep, the state where your thoughts get all weird and ramble-y, but you're not quite dreaming yet.
He jerked awake as his name was called - he had become quite the light sleeper since becoming a medicine cat - and scrambled to his paws. The scene he was greeted with was gruesome. Two young cats, both seeming to be covered with blood. "Rosepaw, I need you asap!" He called over his shoulder as he rushed over to the two. Rainpaw was obviously the most urgent of the two, but he wanted to ensure the Cloudypaw was alright too.
Slightly flustered, he backpedaled to the herb storage, gathering a wad of cobwebs and marigold, then hurried back to Rainpaw and began soaking the blood with cobwebs while chewing up the marigold. "Do you know what happened?" He mumbled around the herbs in his mouth, his pale amber eyes flashing to Cloudypaw briefly as he worked.
Rosepaw's face shifted to one of slight panic as she realized she either didn't know or didn't remember what was used to cure nausea. She had no idea if Sundust knee anything either. So far, she was also unsure of what the cause of this was.
"Uhh...um, uh, I'm not quite sure what I can do, I'm sorry. I mean, uh, has your stomach been hurting as well? Anything else?" she said awkwardly, looking down at the she-cat's stomach. It looked kinda round do perhaps it was bloated???
Cherrysnow's tail twitched as she thought for moment. "Yes, and there have been, um, other things.. I suppose." Ah, Starclan, she was sick, wasn't she? That sucked. She absolutely hated being sick. "I've just been... tired I guess? Haven't really felt like eating either."Even though I'm hungry all the time. She silently added.
[sorry for the short post!]

~~Mothflight~~
Mothflight took deep breaths, trying to calm done her angry belly. She lapped up the water, taking deep breaths. The molly gulped down her breath and looked up at Sundust, pain in her eyes. "I... I think it started now. I felt a little sick yesterday, if I remember right(not in rp). Why?" Mothflight felt a lump rising in her throat. The white she-cat panicked, lapping up more water, gulping done her saliva, knowing what had tried to get out of her mouth. She didn't throw up, but she felt like she was going to.
Nettletongue, the grey, and white tabby was sitting hunched in the corner of the Camp. As she watched her Clanmates, she felt nothing. When she was younger, she'd desperately wanted a friend. When she'd finally gotten one, she had ruined it for herself. She knew what would happen if her mother found her with a cat outside the Clan. Yet, she'd continued to see him. Not only had her mother discovered her, but she'd attacked her, leaving Nettletongue with two deep scars along her face. Whenever she looked at her reflection, it reminded her that she had nobody.
When her name was called, her lips curled with disgust. Herb gathering? With apprentices? That sounded about as pleasant as getting burrs stuck to her pelt. It wasn't bad enough that she was being tasked to find herbs. That was something that a kit could do. Still, she had to remind herself, that herbs were important. Especially a herb like catmint. Reluctantly, she rose from where she was seated and stalked over to Mistpaw. Right after shooting Rosepaw a look of disdain.
The excitement from Mistpaw almost made her sick. What was that feeling bubbling in the pit of her stomach? Envy? Oh yes, it was definitely envy. She wished that she could go back to when she felt excited. That felt like ages ago. Resentment burned beneath her skin like fire, and momentarily, she regarded the apprentice with hatred. Why couldn't she feel excited like that anymore?
It isn't her fault. A tiny voice in the back of her mind reminded her. Don't take your frustrations out on her. That intensity in her gaze faded, leaving her feeling empty again. She didn't want to hate her Clanmates. All she wanted was to be accepted by them. She just didn't know how to make that happen. She acted unreasonably because she wanted them to notice her. The only time she ever got noticed was when she acted aggressively.
Hopefully, Mistpaw hadn't noticed Nettletongue's behavior. It'd only cause awkwardness during the patrol. Catmint, sorrel, and daisy. She noted to herself. She was the only Warrior on the patrol, so she knew that she needed to pay extra attention to what the medicine cat apprentice had said. Not that it mattered. She already knew how the patrol was going to go. She was going to get angry, snap at the apprentices, and they'd all go their separate ways. She gritted her teeth, growing annoyed with her inability to control her temper.
The apprentice's breath came out in choked, shuddering gasps of panic as her sister lay in front of her. "Some... some ShadowClan cat attacked her. I didn't recognize them. I'd never seen her before. She just... just jumped out and attacked her and..." She gulped, throat feeling dense. "She almost killed her, she was gonna grab her neck. It... I was almost too late." Had she stopped a mere second to flinch or falter at her leg, it would have all been over for Rainpaw. And that thought shot a shudder jolting through her body. "I'm fine." She said softly, Cloudypaw's light blue eyes fixed still on her sister. Her leg would need to be resplinted in the morning, but she could wait. Rainpaw... Rainpaw couldn't wait.
Hearing their name being called once again, this time by the clan’s medicine cat apprentice, the young tortie padded over to the gathering cats with one of their eyebrows raised in a questionable manner. A herb patrol, eh? That was certainly something new for them. After Brightpaw had finished the border patrol with Buckbranch and Sagepaw, she had honestly expected to not be put on another one of these for while, but hey, she wasn’t really complaining. Patrols were good. It could give them experience and prepare the lean multicolored apprentice for the future. Probably. They didn’t really know, to be honest, but it was certainly better than lazing around and doing nothing. Boredom often left a bitter taste in Brightpaw’s mouth and caused them to stir up trouble if not fixed. Their vibrant green-hued eyes locked on a rather enthusiastic molly -- Mistpaw -- appearing to be quite excited about this task in particular. How odd. It reminded the tortoiseshell youth of Emberpaw for the wrong reason. Did all the shecat apprentices in Thunderclan store bees in their brains or something? Brightpaw did not know, but decided not to question it. Soon after that, the youth’s gaze rested on the warrior known as Nettletongue. Their chosen chaperone for the evening, no doubt. Unlike Mistpaw, there was a completely different aura to her and the Thunderclan apprentice wondered how this patrol would go down with a clash of such… drastically dissimilar personalities. It made Brightpaw curious to what kind of head that Bumblepaw had on their shoulders.
Standing nearby Mistpaw and Nettletongue, the lean tortie feline didn’t say a word, only tossing a glance at both of the shecats. Brightpaw held their usual unfazed emotion, showing no anger nor joy towards this sudden predicament. A herb patrol did not excite or disappoint the silent short-furred youth. It was completely, utterly neutral. Nothing more than something to keep them busy for the day. Let's get on with it already.
Fluffy tail waving, the large striped tom looked around over the heads of the other cats. He had never done an herb patrol before. Hoping Sleethound would know what they were looking for, Moosecrash made his way through the cats gathered for the patrol assignment, looking for the other tom.
Ivypaw padded over as Rosepaw called her for a patrol. Moosecrash, Sleethound and Fallowpaw...? She hadn't heard much of them yet, but this would be fine. However, she would have preferred to be on a patrol with her mentor and adoptive mother or something. Shiningskies gave her lots of comfort. "S-sleethound? M-moosecrash, F-fallowpaw?"
Rosepaw had always had sleep issues, and being under strass as a medicine cat had not helped. She'd already developed visible eyebags and her already scrawny frame had gotten scrawnier because of all the calories she was burning freaking out over things.
The loud noises jolted her awake before Sundust even called out to her. She was already rummaging and grabbed some cobwebs and marigold. Sundust was handling the more bleedy one so she moved on to her sister. She poked her paw all over the apprentice, looking for any cuts to clean up and bandage. She also noticed a visible flinch when the apprentices' leg suffered any pressure. "This leg looks bad. I think it's been broken." she said to her mentor over her shoulder.
