Rubyclaw's eyes widened with shock. She stepped back. "I-Im sorry," she muttered. She realized that is exactly what Orchidstep had done with her as a kit. She looked down at the floor, now filled with sadness. "Just please don't do that," she muttered. "It is disrespectful."

"Yes..." she mewed silently. Rubyclaw had barely even heard Gingerpaw. Her mind was filled with mourning for her adoptive mother. "Today's lesson is over," she meowed. "Take the fresh kill back to camp. I'll be there shortly."

She lies down and begins eating her kill.

Hollypaw felt the marsh squish under his paws from recent rainfall and he gave a face to the sound. He looked up and around, his green eyes scanning for warriors, his nose searching for scents. He turned back to the molly and smiled. "All clear." he said, and stepped forward. He wanted to take a long way to the border (seeing as there wasn't anyone truly waiting for them) and he wanted to get to know Tawnypaw anyways, so the long trip might work in his favor instead of against him. He looked back and saw her amber eyes and he lifted his head in a sort of smirk. "Alright, Tawnypaw. In order to stay hidden we'll have to go the long way around. Follow me." he said and padded off, the sound of the wet mulch-like dirt beneath his paws were the only things that made noise besides the birds and owls. Maybe this would be easier than he thought, but then again, it probably wasnt.
