A vigil... that was right, vigils were a thing. ThunderClan had gone without ceremonies for such a long time... she'd forgotten what half of them entailed at this point. She lifted her chin with a short nod. A vigil sounded fantastic, and with, what, over a dozen warriors, it shouldn't be too horribly bad.

Quickly, almost too quickly, the meeting moved on. At the mention of Aspenstrike and Dogbark, Bumblebreak was ready to turn away from the whole thing completely and start her vigil early; but Cindersky still captured her interest, and she was glad she decided to stay. A vote, for a new leader and deputy. Admittedly, she was wary of this—the last several had been utter failures that had crumpled ThunderClan up, doused it in gasoline, dropped a match on it, and left it to burn. To her Clan.

At least if the two were hand-chosen, and kept in line by this council Cindersky had proposed, they had a chance of not sucking. And it would be a hell of a riot to see the other Clans get stirred up about it, as they always seemed to do when things didn't line up with their perfect expectations.

The first name that came to mind as leader was Cindersky. She was the obvious choice, right? She'd been at the helm of reparations, made sure everything ran smoothly, led ThunderClan to take back the Cove and make sure they had everything they needed. But when Bumblebreak looked at her—like, REALLY looked at her—she didn't see someone who wanted to lead. She saw instead someone who had done what needed to be done, and who had been the only one willing to do it.

She couldn't do that to her, place her into a position she didn't want. And so she turned her attention to her next choice instead. "I think it should be Sparrowflight. She's been a massive part of... just everything. She's strong and smart and capable. I think she'd be a great choice for leader."

She couldn't help it, and her gaze slid back over to a certain silver she-cat. "Cindersky would make a good deputy, too."

The idea of a council sounded like exactly what they needed. His pelt prickled with frustration at the thought. If they had had one when Aspenstar was leader, maybe things would have gone a lot different. Maybe they wouldn’t be where they are now. Would Dawnstar have taken over? Would these cats have died in battle? He frowned deeply, and shook his head. It didn’t really matter did it? They hadn’t had a council and those things had happened.

As for who should be leader there wasn’t much competition in his mind. “I vote for Cindersky as leader. She has done so much for this clan. I don’t think there’s any cat more fit to be our leader. I vote for Jaystride or Sparrowflight as deputy.” He meowed with confidence. He didn’t know much about Jaystride or Sparrowflight except that they had stepped up recently. That was enough for him! His gaze slowly flickered over to Nectarflame. He didn’t think the warrior should be leader just yet. She had made too many mistakes to be redeemed, at least in his mind. At least for this most sacred position. At least at this crucial time. However if this council thing worked out she would be a perfect fit. She seemed good at keeping cats in check.

Bumblebreak hadn't gone to get her wounds treated immediately and now she was sorely regretting it. It wasn't as if she needed urgent attention - her injuries were superficial compared to some of her other Clanmates', but they still stung, and the dried blood was starting to become uncomfortable. "Sundust? I need to get these things cleaned up a bit."

Well this was simply horrid! Everyone was voting(since when was that a thing anyway?) for Cindersky, dirty and out of place that she was! While Moonlight wanted to do nothing more than go on an angry screaming rampage about how WRONG all of this was, that probably would not be socially acceptable. She spent too much time thinking about being socially acceptable to mess it all up over one silly leader vote when whoever won would probably be dead in a few moons anyway. Perhaps she could just vote Jaystride for deputy and hope something happened to the oddly popular Cindersky? Yeah, that would work. I vote Jaystride for deputy. she mewed, not screeching like some of the others but loud enough to be audible.

Hawkice himself would love to be leader. He felt he had what it takes, at least deputy, but he knew that Cindersky would lead them much better. "I vote for Cindersky for leader." He mewed loudly. "I would love to be a part of the council as well, or even deputy, but that isn't up to me to decide." He mewed with a chuckle. "Jaystride and Sparrowflight are great candidates too, for either leader or deputy." He mewed
