"Yes, I know there's no blood...but still...your leg and the scratches deserve to be checked out...but I'm afraid we won't get into the medicine den in time..." He sighed. "Would we be in trouble if we went to another clan's medicine cat for help?" HarmonyBlade suddenly thought out loud "Is it even allowed? I mean, surely...because it's so easy to become injured out here...and it's almost always impossible to see a medicine cat because they're always packed and busy with other...minor...patients..." The ginger Tom growled. "Looking at it, from a non medicine cat's point of view, it is clearly deadly...we're going to have to brave it Redclaw..." He said, biting his lip.

What surprised her the most is that he listened to her.
He stayed.
He actually stayed.
Featherspeckle took a quick glance at him, her sadness fading away. She was even more surprised that he dreamed of jumping off a ledge as she have. She wondered if he still wanted to, but shook her head. He had his head on right more than she did anyway. Featherspeckle couldn't even stare at him. Or look into his eyes. But, she could listen to him. And, listening to him brought her slowly to seeing her rippling self through the water. She could make out her reflection clearly. She wanted to touch herself. Let herself know that everything would be alright.
Featherspeckle didn't say anything for a long while. She listened to his words, and she wanted them to sink in deeply, so that her inner-most difficult self could have some belief as well. She wanted everything to be back normal. Before she met her, before she met him, before she allowed herself to be close to him, get to know him, love on him, believe in him.
Yet, everything started because of a simple tom. Or, everything started with her making the delusional decision to even get to know him in the first place.
She gave a light laugh at hearing him say she would hurt herself pretty badly, though it was true. She sensed some type of humor display in there.
''I'm glad you didn't fall either.'' She quietly said. ''You have such a strong spirit that can fight off these demons...and I'm just allowing these demons to eat up.'' She unsheathed a claw and circled it into the pond, overlapping her reflection.
Then...her heart stopped. She was touched. This made her drop everything she was doing, and in that exact moment, she stared deeply at the Abyssinian, a whimpering smile coming onto her face. With her head tilted slightly, and her ears pinned. She felt as if everything around them disappeared in that exact moment.
She didn't know what to say, or how to express herself. She wasn't that extremely affectionate...especially if she didn't know a cat very well. And, she wondered how messed up he was? How angry he was? How much pint up anger he held inside himself?
Was there any anger?
She doubted, but she knew the young warrior been hurt as she had. He's probably been through much worse and a lot more, she figured.
Featherspeckle did not know what made her do it. Perhaps it was the heartfelt speech, or the way his eyes gazed into her, but she ran up to him, and quickly nuzzled him under the chin. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it felt like a lifetime to her. She only realized it, after she heard herself purr, and she felt bewildered that she would even do something as such. She didn't want her new friend to feel uncomfortable around her, and she certainly didn't want to ruin their friendship.
After all, he did stay. He made her slightly happy.
When she pushed herself away, she sat down on her haunches, finding her paws pretty to stare at, afraid to even look into those hues of the young warrior.
The young tom laughed at her remark, although his hues showed his sympathy and worry for his newfound friend. Did she really think of herself in that way? She didn't seem weak to him at all. If anything, she was strong for her own demons to feed off her for so long and yet, she hadn't given into them. "Trust me, I'm not. I had help-- a lot of it, and now I'm offering you that help if you'll take it." He glanced at her, holding his breath. He had made a mistake several moons before when help had been offered to him. Or at least-- he very nearly had. He had always cost lives, not only his own but that of a cat who had offered to help him, and he felt horrible for it now. He wanted to keep this she cat from making the same mistake. He wanted to help her in any way he could.

And yet, Martenthorn knew that a time would come when she would have to fight her own battles. She wouldn't have a choice, but when that time came, he would be happy to stand right there beside her so that the two of them could fight as one. Fight for hope, and all of that stuff... and he wanted her to be free from the demons that he knew were holding onto her so tightly. And the only way that he knew they were holding her at all, was that he had been in her place before. He had been the one who had shied away from the world, who had been putting on a fake smile, and trying to act as though everything were okay, like it was everyone else who were crazy for thinking that he was miserable.

When in reality, he was, and he was trying to force himself to believe otherwise. It hadn't worked. It never did, and it never would. He looked up at the sky-- he had never really looked at it before, or if he did, he never paid attention. Everyone just took it for granted, like it was always there and yet no one ever really thought about it. But Martenthorn realized that the things that everyone took for granted were some of the most important. Food. Water. The sky, the ground, the territory, the Camp...everything had just always been there, whether they had to work for it-- like food-- or whether it had been there ever since they could remember, like the sky, camp, territory, ground...everything was always taken for granted until it was gone. Because Martenthorn had grown up as what twolegs would call an 'alley cat,' and hadn't joined the Clans until later on, he remembered what it was like to have to work even to get some water.

Every step could have been his last one, since twolegs hated him almost as much as they did the mangier, fiercer cats who hung around the alleyways. The tom shuddered at the memory, and then a moment later, his hues widened in surprise as the she cat ran up to him...and nuzzled him. Like a friend would do. Like they had been the best of friends all their lives, since kithood. "Wh-" He began, and then stopped as she pushed herself away. What happened? That was the first thought that entered his head, but he didn't say anything else. He realized she was probably confused, not only about why he was being so nice to her, but with her own feelings as well.

It was a good guess-- he just didn't know if it was the right one. He stayed a few tail-lengths away from her, his hues looking curiously at her and waiting for any sort of explanation, though he didn't dare say anything. And he looked up at the sky again...no longer would he take that for granted, because he knew that one morning he might wake up and he would no longer be looking at the sky. He could be looking at anything, any sort of scary, horrible object...and he, or someone else, could die. No more taking things for granted. He thought, cocking his head to the side and examining the brilliant blue. It certainly was a beautiful color. Martenthorn was surprised he hadn't noticed it sooner.

Tigerpaw ran until he reached the thunderclan training cave. He didn't set a destination to run because he ran out of frustration. He was not happy about the defeat, especially since the young tom was competitive himself. No matter what he did, he knew Fairypaw was right. He responded too slowly. He always did, and that bothered him to a max.
He'll admit to himself that he deserved that smack from the small older apprentice, but he didn't deserve to feel humiliated like that. He practiced! He practiced hard, trying his best to maintain his fighting skills.
Tigerpaw went up to a stick, clinging to its tree. He slowly crawled into a hunting crouch, hissing at the branch. When he attacked it, he flipped himself over, landing on his head. He wanted to shout! He wanted to scream! He wanted to complain, but he knew it was nothing to it. Instead he sat next to the branch, overlooking at everyone else, and pondered about his next move. One thing he knew for certain? He had to find a way to learn a cat's next move. He was tired of acting fast on his paws, but not acting fast enough to attack.

He thought, cocking his head to the side and examining the brilliant blue. It certainly was a beautiful color. Martenthorn was surprised he hadn't noticed it sooner.
When Featherspeckle finally looked up at the warrior, she saw that he was staring at the sky. She tilted her head upwards to admire the beauty as well. ''It is beautiful, isn't it?'' The clear blue sky was always her go to thing to look at whenever her mind was teasing her. She didn't care how the sky looked; cloudy, cloudless, dark cloudy. She quietly laughed to herself. She was attached to a cloudy sky. She loved laying down in the grass, on her back, her paws in the air, and she's just staring at the clouds. If it wasn't the morning sky she looked at; it was the night sky. With all the dazzling stars. ''I like to look at the night sky too. Mainly to star gaze.'' Whenever she had sleepless nights, she would go out into a plain spacious part, and lie down, staring at the stars. She would do it all night until they disappeared when the morning sun came up.
Featherspeckle then sighed, ''I would have never guessed that you would be going through those things,'' She tilted her head, slightly. ''But, then again, many cats go through different wars.'' She softly stated. ''And, some of them don't survive it, but I know...''She trailed off. As long as you're by my side, I can survive anything... she couldn't add that last part. That would be...uncomfortable, and weird in a sense. Not to mention sounded desperate in her case. She was anything but desperate! She hissed at herself, before laughing lightly. ''No need to worry,'' She mused. ''I need all the help I can get. I don't know how much time I have left in this world, but I do want to live to my fullest before I whisper my last goodbyes,'' And she stared at the sky once more. Seeing a few birds fly overhead made her ears perked. She wondered where they were going to at this time, what they were planning on doing.
Then again, she knew that every animal was different, and they carried on with their traditions as any other species would. She herself had traditions to follow; grow up, be a warrior, get a mate, have kits, grow old, and whatnot. Well, as a she-cat, but she was faraway from doing any of that. Evidently, she succeeded in becoming a warrior, but the other stuff? That would be a little while before she ever trusted a tom again. Lacking Martenthorn. She could tell he had a very good heart, and she was glad that he came up to her. She appreciated his kindness towards her, and she constantly wondered why he was so kind to her. From her experience, toms were either conceited or desperate--in a flirty manner.
Featherspeckle didn't understand the big deal about the whole thing, but she accepted because it was apart of...everything else. Like everything around them.
Featherspeckle cleared her mind and her throat. She didn't want to be lost in her own thoughts. She was surprised that her inner voice didn't make any snappy remarks to her. On a lighter subject, she asked the tom, ''Do you have any family here--within the territory, I mean?''

Thinking about the rain, she suddenly sneezed, a soft, high-pitched noise that almost sounded strange coming from such a large cat. I hope I'm not getting the beginnings of a cold, she shivered. Laurelpaw listened to Raggedfur with rapt attention, absorbing all the information he gave them. At the mention of having to dart and weave around the two supposed enemy cats, her nose twitched in mild confusion. She thought of herself as very clumsy—and she was, in fact, not the most balanced nor the fastest apprentice—so to imagine herself doing what he had told her was a difficult task, probably harder than the real thing. But once she had heard Raggedfur's actual assignment, she sighed in relief. "Alright," she meowed. That was much easier to do. Laurelpaw didn't have to think about how she might scare an opponent before she bristled her fur, hoping that it made her seem larger than she actually was. She wasn't sure how to change her stance to make it seem intimidating, but she hoped that just ruffling her fur did the trick.
Raggedfur paced around the apprentice. "Very good, Laurelpaw." he nodded with his eyes narrowed. "Now, other than the move I just showed you, what would you do if a Shadowclan cat came running, full speed at you?" Raggedfur questioned. He was proud of himself for being open and talking more than he usually did. Raggedfur wasn't usually the type to get along well with others, but this time, he wanted to be friendly. He knew that Laurelpaw respected him, so he wanted to respect her.

Lycanrock padded around the territory looking for something to hunt. He quickly gave himself a lick on the paw before continuing. He saw a mouse and immediately dropped to hunters crouch. He went a bit closer before jumping and biting its throat, killing it. He buried his prey and walked away. His fiery pelt shimmered in the sunlight as he padded towards four trees. He turned around to go back to camp when he saw a squirrel. He jumped up and knocked it from the tree then scraping to death. He grabbed it in his mouth and then walked towards the mouse he caught
