There weren’t many cats around at this time, including his own mate, who was still asleep in their dens. However, the warrior wanted to make a good impression on his newly-assigned apprentice, Noirepaw. This was his first apprentice ever and he was a little nervous, but more excited than anything to teach her everything that his own mentor - Snowheart - and adopted father - Ripplewhisker - taught him when he was very small. The clearing was overall quiet, with the sky above being a relaxing orange glow as the sun slowly rose over the horizon. The black-and-white furred tom-cat knew that training always started early, at least, that’s how it was for when he was an apprentice moons ago. He gave a low sigh to calm his nerves and sat down at the edge of the clearing, lifting a paw and licking it, drawing it over his face and straightened the ruffled fur as he awaited to meet his apprentice.

Noirepaw quietly padded into the clearing, her tail lazily dragging on the ground. Early mornings were never her thing. She absolutely hated waking up at the cracks of dawn. Even if her training had just started, and she was meeting her new mentor, the feline was still incredibly tired. Most of her siblings had their own things to do. To handle. And, her adoptive mother was busy as well. Not that Noirepaw minded at all. She was happy that she even had anyone to call her family when most cats didn't. The black long-furred she cat padded further more before she stopped. She scanned the area where her mentor might be. Her tail slightly lifted up as she spotted a black-and-white tom. A small smile graced her face as she padded towards him. When first meeting Noirepaw, she was extremely awkward--silent. She didn't speak unless she was too comfortable. She was never comfortable when first meeting others, and gradually she felt that they would describe an awkward silence. However, Noirepaw was extremely sweet upon first meeting her. Until you got to know her on a personal level. Experiencing her snarky, sarcastic side. As she approached her new mentor, she allowed her tail to slip to the side for a moment, and shifted on her small paws. ''Hello,'' She mewed, quietly. She hoped that he wasn't as nervous as she was. Then, it would be two awkward cats.

Sproutwhisker gave a slight yawn, his ears twitching to the sound of birds chirping in the branches of the nearby trees. It was much too early for anyone and he knew that he was probably asking too much of the poor apprentice to get up this early, but he wanted to be a good teacher and make sure he wouldn’t seem like a lazy fox-heart when it came to these types of things. His light green-hued eyes scanned the practically empty clearing for a quiet moment, thinking to himself. His ears perked slightly as he spotted the small female approaching him, looking rather nervous in her movements. It made a gentle smile slip onto his face, knowing how it felt when he first met his mentor. Of course, Snowheart was more..what was the word? Stubborn with him. She wasn’t the kindest she-cat, but he respected the she-cat for teaching him all that he knew. Sproutwhisker broke away from his thoughts when Noirepaw halted and mewed a quiet hello to him, which made the tom-cat’s gentle smile stay. “Good morning, young one.” He purred, his tone full of kindness with a sense of youth - he was after all, far from a senior warrior, “Noirepaw, right? It’s an honor to be your mentor.” He thought back to his own training and went at a more understanding route. “Apologies for waking you so early, but I didn’t want anyone to disturb us.” The tom-cat explained, tilting his head slightly down at the long-furred apprentice, “What lesson would you like to start today with? Hunting, perhaps? Or fighting?” Sproutwhisker thought it would be wise to give his student a choice in what skills to begin on, the first step towards their warrior name.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
[Ack I thought I posted these!! And if I did then I apologize, I'm a bit of a mess right now ;w; ]
@ Empress Of Evil
The ebony warrior padded into the clearing and let out a sigh, his pads were sore and it felt as though his skin was boiling, it was too hot out for the pitch black tom. Tufts of his fur stuck to his sides, face, and legs, it made it harder for him to walk, it made him want to ignore everyone around him and go lay down in the warriors den and cool off, or take another walk into the territory and jump in the river. He didn't realize just how difficult it was being the deputy, just how much you had to do, just how much you had to interact with the others, but that wasn't too hard, he talked to his classmates like how he normally did, the main thing that troubled the warrior was the fact that he had to order them around, and the fact that they allowed him to order them around, he didn't like it. The deputy shook his head and let out a huff, that kind of thinking made his head hurt, he still wasn't sure about his feelings towards this whole situation, becoming the very thing he hates, giving orders, he was terrified, he didn't want to become his father, he couldn't. Images of his past flashed through his mind, his father snapping at him, his father, and siblings, the pure hatred that burned in the late senior warriors eyes still to this day made the buff tom shudder. His hatred and understanding battled within him day by day, no rest, no peace, nothing but war and uncertainty took the tom over now a days, it was hard for him to keep his smile. Fallenstream lifted his head slowly and looked around, feeling piercing eyes boring into his skin, burning through his pelt. It felt like his fathers, for a second, he thought that the warrior had come back to kill him and his siblings, relief washed over him when he realized that it was one of his two younger siblings, Plesantpaw. The older shot the tom a lazy smile and began to pad over, wondering what his brother was thinking.

Noirepaw flicked her ears. So far, she was beginning to feel a slight comfort with her mentor. She allowed a yawn to surpass her maw, and a ghost of a smile to flicker there. ''Morning!'' She mewed, then entered into a luxurious stretch, hearing a few of her bones crack in some good areas. She shook off her limbs to prepare herself for a long day ahead of her. It was known that Noirepaw enjoyed learning. She was quite the intelligent one, always ready to absorb something new. When she was finally assigned a mentor, she couldn't wait to tell her mother and siblings! It was a wonderful feeling to finally have someone to teach you everything that was taught to them. Noirepaw felt that she was one step closer to becoming an awesome warrior in the future. ''It's an honor to be your apprentice.'' She gushed, feeling the tip of her ears rise in temperature with a smile gracing her face. Upon his next words, Noirepaw had nodded. It made sense that he wanted to bring her out early when everyone was still practically asleep...in comfy nests...where she would be dozing off. The small black she cat shook her head, trying to rid the thought of sleep at all costs. ''That makes sense,'' She nodded. ''Too many cats could be in the way. Especially with every mentor trying to train their apprentice!'' She giggled. Upon his next question, Noirepaw was indecisive. She truly didn't know which one she wanted to take on first. After all, they were both skills she needed to build up--and, she had plenty days to perfect that. The apprentice debated in her head the pros and cons of each category. She was quite the indecisive one when it came to choices. Even the smallest of choices, but eventually she chose hunting. ''We can do hunting first.'' She smiled. She only chose hunting because she was still tired. Too tired to be fighting, but learning how to hunt? That would keep her moving around, and thus waking up to fully start her day.

A low, rumbling purr came from the young tom-cat when he saw how his apprentice acted, it made him smile by how she was so kind-hearted and also quite mature for her age. “Hunting it is then.” Sproutwhisker remarked with a warm smile on his face, “With these early hours, the prey won’t expect us coming.” He gave a slight yawn, which made his whiskers twitch back and forth before he heaved himself to a standing position. “If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I don’t expect you to know everything on your first day, but I can tell that you are smart and will learn quickly - I wish I was like that at your age.” The warrior chuckled, talking like he was some elder, even though he was far from being that old, “Come along then, Noirepaw.” Sproutwhisker padded past her, flicking the smaller cat’s shoulder with the tip of his tail as he padded through the clearing. He glanced behind him to make sure she was following. “While on our way, how about we brush up on some common clan knowledge - do you know any of the warrior code?” The tom-cat asked, his ear twitching ever so slightly to the noises in the distant forest. It was a beautiful day, with no rain or troubles in sight, he could only hope that it would stay this calm and successful. So far, he enjoyed being a mentor.

The blue-grey she-cat stretched out by the wall of the camp, yawning. She looked around the camp, some cats she recognized, others she didn't. Reedbriar shrugged, "How did you sleep?" She asked her mate, glancing over at him.

"Oh." Waspwhisker said, trying to keep his fur flat.
"How would anyone even want to become a kittypet though? Wouldn't it be horrible? Wouldn't it be better to live in the wild, in a structured society like a clan? See, I never understood how other cats think." The tom didn't mean to say this aloud, but it just happened.
"Ah, whatever, just ignore what I just said." He shrugged. "Uh, how about we do something else now. Are you done eating yet?" Waspwhisker pushed his bones and scraps to the side.

"I slept fairly well," Fishtail said with a yawn. "How'd you sleep?" He asked, looking at her with a tilted head.
