Stormlily smiled a genuine one. It felt so foreign and weird but comforting and nice at the same time. But her best friend had a point, she had a whole clan to be by her side. She has her daughter, Whiskernose, her friends, and a home what else more could she ask for? Looking up the molly nuzzled the toms chin. "You are so right. What would I do without you?" Teasing Whiskernose her best friend since kithood. "I know you are here for me, why else would I open up to you about this? I trust you Whiskernose and I know that I'm not alone when you are here by my side during these dark times." Her voice growing soft and delicate as she went deep into her thoughts

What an odd name, Milktooth! But it held a warmth to it he adored. He bounced on the spot, his wee legs wiggling as he did so, "Milk, milk! Like Mummys milk! She had lots and lots of it--" Snailkit stopped dead in his tracks, that sad feeling came rushing over him. This time it wouldn't, it wouldn't loosen its grip. He shuffled forwards towards Milktooth, pressing his small body into her arms. "Mummy said moon and half but that was a lil bit ago... I dunno," He mumbled his answer.

Snailkit let out a squeak of surprise. He had yet to be bumped into, the action itself took his little body by surprise! The small kitten fell forwards slightly but instead of discontent, he simply giggled! "Hiiiiii!!" Snailkit meowed as he squirmed to face the feline who had bumped him.

Padding back into the den, Ribbitpaw greeted Ambertail through a mouthful of moss. "Ah gah eh os!" Realizing the elder probably couldn't understand him with all that moss in his mouth, he let it drop on the floor. "I got the moss." Working carefully, yet efficiently, the young apprentice began removing bits and pieces of the moss from the old nest, storing it all in a separate pile. Once all the former bedding had been removed, he began taking clumps of the fresh moss he'd found right outside of camp, placing them down on the nest area, smoothing them out to remove lumps, and tossing any thorns he found into yet another pile. Standing back, he admired the finished nest. It looked quite comfortable to him, and he hope Ambertail would find it the same way. Silently, the apprentice scooped up the couple of thorns he'd found within the layers of the bedding and padded quickly outside, tossing them behind the den where no cat would step on them. Then, he reentered and discarded of the old bedding in the same way. Coming back into the den for the final time, the young tom pushed the leftover fresh moss towards the wall for some later use. When he looked back over at Ambertail, he saw a kit there which he somehow hadn't noticed earlier. It was Moonkit, and he could recall Blackpaw teaching them and a few other kits about hunting. The tabby dipped his head in greeting. "I hope I won't be intruding if I join in on listening to the story as well."

Ambertail had no idea what he was saying until he dropped the moss. She moved out if the way so he could work. She thought the bed looked so comfy! She heard Ribbitpaws question and replied, Yes Ribbitpaw! What are elders for? Are you both ready?

Stormlily was proud to see that Nightpaw was willing to give the defense move a try. They had to take baby steps and this one would be the first of many. Watching her apprentice the warrior was pleased to see that Nightpaw listened to her instructions and focused her gaze on her torso.

It all happened in slow-mo when Stormlily watched the younger molly move back from her paw that never made contact with her. Looking to her expression it was clear that Nightpaw was extremely embarrassed by her reaction.

Lowering her paw the mentor gave an encouraging smile. "Don't be embarrassed or ashamed, it was on me for pulling an advance move on your first try." Stormlily should have known better than to have tried and trick Nightpaw, what was she thinking?

Padding alongside the molly Creekwind dropped the prey in the pile as well and turned to her clanmate. Perking her ears the dark crimson molly looked at Russetstrike with interest. "Yes?" Her one sapphire eye looking at her clanmate waiting to hear what she had to say.
Her invisible eyebrows shot up in surprise. Russetpatch...like me? Me? At once a huge grin blossomed onto her features as happiness swelled in her chest. Rushing closer to Russetpatch, Creekwind nuzzled the molly without a second thought. "I've liked you ever since I first laid eyes on you. I swore that you were the most beautiful molly I saw. Then I thought that someone as pretty would never fall for me since ya know we are the same gender and I'm missing one eye. But hearing that you like me as well is like a dream come true! Realizing that she was rambling on Creekwind shut her mouth in embarrassment for letting all of that slip out.

Fernkit brightened up. "Thank you!" She mewed. "I also know the Warrior Code already!" She took a breath.

"Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle. That's the first one." She got ready to start again.

"Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. And... it's, um..." She thought a bit.

"I think it's this: Elders, queens, sick or injured cats and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders."

"Then I know that prey is only killed to be eaten and we must give thanks for its life." Fernkit took another breath. Then she thought again. "A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. That one's obvious. And then newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name."

Fernkit smiled. Then she frowned. There was more wasn't there? "Umm... Oh, yes! A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. And then The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled."

" After the death, retirement, promotion or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
" A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. I want to go to a gathering one day." Fernkit continued.

"boundaries must be checked and marked daily and my favourite is this one:
No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan."

Fernkit paused. Was she going too fast? She shrugged.
"The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. That's very important. An honourable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defence. I don't think you should ever kill."

"a warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. And the last one is this:
Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble, they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the four. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall. That's very important too."

She looked up. "Was that Okay?"

Irisflame smiled, happy that he trusted her enough to sit down and get on with it. He looked a little uneasy, scared, even. She hadn't had the slightest idea of how a warrior could be so careless so to walk into a thornbush. Sleepwalking, he said? Wasn't that dangerous? What had happened to the camp guards? Questions circulated in her head madly, almost obsessively before she reminded herself to stay set on the task.
"Don't blame yourself. That is quite the talent, Mr...?The poultice feeling ready in her mouth, she sparky out onto a nearby oak leaf, readying her claws for removal. At his question, her eyes widened in amusement.
"Only as much as you let it." She remarked, blue gaze flitting with sudden confidence as she meant in to pluck the thorn out of his paw. She would move swiftly, tugging the spine from the puffy pad with speed. It'd gotten infected, so it seemed that she'd had to get through pus, but she'd made it. And the thorn was out!

Unease slowly melted by the warmth of the medicine cat. No judgment of his odd reoccurring sleepwalks or how cowardly he acted. She's very nice and gentle, which is what went through his mind. He loosened up a bit, shifting in place to settle down more comfortably as she chews up some herbs. "S-Sleepylion," a crumbled, small smile appeared on his flat maw. The low rumble of his purr boomed, vibrating with power like a storm inside his vocal cords at the little lady's reply. "True." And in a blink of an eye, stabbing pain quickly faded away after plucking out the stubborn thorn. The big warrior sighed. If only his mouth was more pointy and not flat, he'd probably gotten it out himself. But still, he appreciated Irisflame help."It feels much better. Mm, is there something I can take for sleepwalking as well?"
