The elder flicked her ear carefully. Listening to the she-cat. Nodding her head slightly, Smallmouse began to lift her old bones. Limping forward, she gave a small smile.

" I know where some of the best kelp and seaweed growing spots are- after all I've been here in Riverclan for so long. Let me lead some cats. Just because I'm old doesn't mean I can't help my clan, Reedwhisker. "

Her voice was soft and more of a suggestion than a demand. Smallmouse looked to the announcer cat, softly curling her tail in the air.

Amberbright opened her eyes to see her breath forming a cold mist upon the ground. The busy noise of paws dragging across earth filled the elders ears. As she raised her body from her nest, her joints pleaded with her to stay still. The cold was painfully fighting her with every stretch of the old calico's body. She managed to stiffly shuffle towards her denmate Smallmouse who was propositioning Reedwhisker to allow for her to join the search party.


Amberbright brushed her small tail against the other aged warrior, "Smallmouse why don't you just tell the young ones where to find it?" She offered, mindful to keep a polite tone. "What if it starts to rain and you get wet? You might unintentionally bring back whitecough." The tri colored elder deliberately avoided the more obvious mention of Smallmouse falling in the river due to her limp, fearing it might cause her denmate to go as a point of pride.

Slatestripe lifted his head at Reedwhisker’s call. Deciding to join this event was a no-brainer for him; Reedwhisker had helped him with his event, so he had to attend her’s. Plus, it sounded relaxing. With all the stress and chaos going on in RiverClan lately, everyone needed something simple to help them relax… as best as they could, at least.

He got up and stretched before heading over to join the event group. He hadn’t handled seaweed in ages, so he hoped he’d still know how.

Goldenleaf wanted to help some cats and went forward to do so, but a sneeze burst from the golden tom. He sniffled, shivering and sneezed again. Do I have whitecough? he thought. Goldenleaf wanted to help the clan, so he stepped forward, and asked Reedwhisker if he could get some kelp to warm up RiverClan’s dens.

Goldenleaf sighed, sitting down, sniffling, when a cough spluttered from his jaws. He felt a little dizzy and walked off, tripping on a pebble, and causing his nose to bleed. Great, he grumbled, now I have a bleeding nose as well as definitely whitecough. Goldenleaf searched for Featherspirit, hoping she didn’t catch anything dangerous like what he had. “Featherspirit?” Goldenleaf wheezed, searching for his mate, and bumping into her.
