A meeting?! The kitten poked their head from the nursery and looked back and forth and back and forth again before bouncing out towards where the leader called! Lavenderkit is so happy that she didn’t actually kill the leader from fright a few days before this meeting, that was scary! But now the leader seemed to be a-okay! The kitten was so lost in their thoughts, holding their tail in their mouth, that they hadn’t even noticed the other feline they were fast approaching until Lavenderkit had run straight into them and bounced back onto their tail. “Owchieeee” Lavenderkit gave the little whine as they slowly say back up and looked at the cat they ran into- oh! It was the PRETTY CAT!! “Oh! Sorry, Dreamspirit! I was so excited to get to the meeting I didn’t even see you there!”

The white and black Tom padded forward as the leader called out to the clan for a meeting, the Tom hummed wondering what this meeting would bring about this day, As frozenmoth sat a cool breeze ran through his long fur sending a chill down his spine.

The mountains always held a slight chill to them, perhaps it was due to the snow fall that lasted longer then most, or maybe it was something else. Frozenmoth curled his long flowing tail around his white paws shifting them as rocks poked his dark but thick paw pads, it was better to have thick paw pads in the mountains better for protecting them when climbing or even walking on a normal day. The warrior let out a long breath as a small white cloud appeared just below his chin as his warm breath reacted to the colder air. frozenmoths eyes flicked across his clan mates before turning them back to the leader.

Cloudwhisper's head popped out of the den. Meeting? She thought and rushed over. She found an empty spot and sat there. Cloudwhisper frowned. Where was Ashpaw?

Ashpaw ran over quickly and sat next to Cloudwhisper. "Hi." Ashpaw meowed quickly.

Dreamspirit looked down, noticing the small kit that had bumped into her. Smiling, she patted the kit gently with a paw.

"Of course, everyone's excited for their first meeting, hm?" She purred. Lavenderkit was a quite special one, she must admit. A great future for SkyClan. "No need to worry about apologising."

Her gaze then fell on the black and white warrior. She shot him a warm smile, flicking her short, curled tail in greeting.

"Hello, Frozenmoth." She called, nodding once.

The warriors eyes were fixed on the leader when he heard his name blue eyes quickly darted to the source 'oh it was dreamspirt ' the Tom thought his face neutral before growing into a small warm smile " Hello dreamspirt he said turning his gaze to lavenderkit this kit seemed like a handful but they had a good spirit.

Frozenmoth looked back at the deputy " Any idea what this meeting could be about? he questioned a small tilt in his head the warrior knew it was important he had heard the slight whisper from the leader once he padded up to the meeting point. something felt off to him, but he often felt that way alwasy on alert always taking note of his surroundings some might call him paranoid, but he didn't think so or he hoped that wasn't the case.

The dark gray cat slinked into camp. A little late, but she held a squirrel in her maw. Yellow eyes darting about the gathered cats. A meeting, it looked like. Padding over to the Fresh-kill pile, Smoldersilk placed the furry menace down. “Sorry for bein’ late, Sunrisestar. I was out huntin’”

Cats were coming. Good. And then Smoldersilk arrived. Late, but here. The dilute calico turned to the other. “You’re fine, Smoldersilk, we’ve just barely started.” She shifted her paws before starting her grand speech. “As you may know, Skyclan’s former Deputy has vanished. And it has come time to appoint a new one.” She paused before continuing. “I say these words before the body of Webshade, so that his spirit may hear and approve my choice. Dreamspirit will be the new deputy of Skyclan. You can move into the Deputy’s den whenever you deem fit.”

“Dreamspirit! Dreamspirit!”

Sunrisestar waited for a moment, allowing the cheers to die down before continuing. “Next, on the topic of a Medicine Cat, I have not chosen one yet. And we are damn lucky no one’s sick or injured. I’ll be looking for a cat who catches my eye. Be vigilant. And don’t mess up.” She flicked her patched tail, looking over the clan- her clan.

“Lastly, Ashpaw and Sandpaw. Reassignments. Ashpaw you’ll be training with me. Sandpaw, you’re with Frozenmoth.”

“If there are no questions or comments, clan dismissed.”

The calico dropped down off of the Smokeledge, entering the tunnel that led to her nest. The nest that brought peace and quiet.

Dreamspirit nodded along everything Sunrisestar said. A new deputy, right. Every Clan should have a deputy. But as Sunrisestar went ahead to announce it, she felt as if time itself stopped around her.
Did she hear right? It possibly couldn't be, right? There was no way she was chosen to become the new deputy of SkyClan. Was she wrong to doubt herself? Probably. But she had made both good and bad choices in the past. What did Sunrisestar possibly see in her that made her believe she could be a good deputy?

When the pale calico leader began chanting her name, Dreamspirit just knew she wasn't hearing things. She smiled, her head held high in pride. The first step to making SkyClan a respectable Clan. There was just so much she could do. Perhaps she was the right choice. Or maybe she was not. Only time will tell.

The she-cat was then too distracted to hear the rest.

The black and white warrior sat closer to listen to Sunrisestar speak. Her voice rang loud and true when she decided who the next deputy would be. Dreamspirit. Quite the elegant choice, strong and dependent. The gentle warrior with a large but slender frame nodded gracefully with agreement in their leader's choice. May the reign of the new deputy be peaceful and bring a welcomed order to SkyClan.

Eldersong made his way towards the newly announced deputy, brushing softly against the younger warrior with an approving glint that bore in his eyes. "Congratulations, Dreamspirit. Looking forward to the what you'll bring to SkyClan."
