Primroseadder's tail curled behind her, her emerald eyes narrowing at Owlstar's words. ''That is not what I meant, Owlstar. I wasn't implyin' that the Lionhearts weren't helping. They're a huge aid to the Clan,'' She paused, thinking carefully about how she wanted to word this. ''And, as for the apprentices...''
Since Owlstar had mentioned it, it was only right for Primroseadder to bring it up. ''As far as I'm concerned, Nightstrike [ @/Splashcloud ] hasn't been trainin' his own---Sunpaw [ @/Foxlily ],'' She meowed with a flick of her ears. ''I've been takin' her out. I gave her a tour of the territory---minus Sedgewater Valley, of course---along with a hunting session, swimming session, and a battle session. I think she should be reassigned, and I was thinkin' about asking you if I could continue her trainin' because I know what she's learned and what she hasn't. Besides, Mosspaw would have another cat to train with.''
''And Riftpaw's [ @/korok ] combat trainin' is comin' along nicely,'' She pointed out. ''He's a fast learner, and he'll make a formidable fighter in the foreseeable future. Duskleaf's doin' well with him, I believe.'' Her whiskers twitched. ''I've taken Eaglepaw [ @/Mica ] out for a water combat session. She was really eager and seemed to enjoy it, though I believe that she just likes the water in general. I've given Crowpaw [ @/Rowan ] a couple of sessions on hunting, swimming, and both ways of fishing---on the bank and in the water, and I've taken Turtlepaw [ @/Rowan ] out for some hunting basics and stealth. You mentioned apprentices, so I may as well give you a report.''
At Brokenstream's comment about Seabreeze, the leader chewed on his words, whiskers twitching as she thought. While she did have some objections, she trusted Brokenstream's judgement, saw him as level headed as any cat, so she took his words without retaliation. "Ya 'ave my full support." she flashed him a toothy grin.
Sunheart... The tabby tilted her head at the begal bengal considerably. She wasn't sure how mothers or fathers or cats in general could name their kits such... Odd things. She was sure she'd heard a 'Tickkit' before, a veil of resentment seemed to be present. At least... That's what she felt. Anything lowly or dehumanizing for their own offspring always rubbed her the wrong way.
She gave a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders, though her expression was warm. "It suits ya." she was just happy. To have a nice, normal, non stressful, non impactful conversation. It was nice to feel somewhat normal after having her patience constantly tested.

At Owlstar's acceptance, Brok- no, Sunheart- beamed at the leader. "Thank you, Owlstar. I'll do my best to keep living up to it!" He promised, dipping his head respectfully. He rose back to his paws, turning to begin heading out of the den.
Before he reached the exit, he glanced back over his shoulder at his friend. "It's been too long, you know. Let's go hunting or sparring some time." The Lionheart suggested with a cheeky grin. "Just because you're leader doesn't mean I'll go easy on you!" He purred before padding out of the den.

Nightweb approached the leaders' den, poking his head inside. "Owlstar?" He calls out, waiting to be invited in. The warrior was starting to feel less nervous speaking to the leader and was feeling ok approaching her den.

After cleaning up from healing Tigerfire, Berryshine made her way across the chilly camp and paused at the entrance to the leader's den. Shaking out some of her nerves from the chilling description of what had happened, the medic cleared her throat, a soft sound amidst the quiet outside.
"Owlstar... m-may I come in?" Then she paused, shuffling her paws almost awkwardly in the beat of silence. "It's, uh... i-it's Berryshine." Duh! Of course she knew that!
Berryshine padded up to the leader's den with Cherryswirl, the RiverClan warrior who'd gone missing several moons ago when they'd still been under Fadingstar's leadership. A lot had happened since greenleaf, and the medicine cat had filled in the warrior on the gist of what had happened to their Clan since. Now, it was time to take her to Owlstar for her final verdict on rejoining — though the medicine cat had no doubts that their leader would fairly assess the situation. Cherryswirl's story had been a harrowing 'adventure' of sorts, and the she-cat was clearly happy to be home.
"O-Owlstar...?" Berryshine came to a halt outside of the entrance. "It's Berryshine. I ran into a former Clanmate of ours who's been gone awhile... Cherryswirl, i-if you remember. May we come in?"
She gave Cherryswirl an encouraging smile as they waited for a response.

Good. Owlstar was allowing her to enter. Tattered ear flicking, the large feline strolled into the den, ignorant to the tiny beads of ice-cold sand picking at her paw-pads. It was a familiar feeling that she was far familiar with, and it didn’t change her perspective on anything that she had already known. Having lived in RiverClan for as long as she had made her comfortable with the coarse, gritty feeling of sand beneath her soles. Even before she was in RiverClan, she had lived by a beach, even if her memories of it had drastically withered away as time progressed. She didn't remember her birth name; not that it truly mattered in the slightest. It was a name that she didn't care for as she once had. A name that granted no meaning of her existence other than to grant yourself an identity. A singular tufted ear twitched in contemplation, her colossal form lumbering towards the leader as she gingerly placed the piece of prey in front of Owlstar in silent gratitude. Internally, she was grateful to not have broken any of the tender skin of the trout that she had caught just for the leader; not merely to just prove that Bitterhive thought that Owlstar was doing a decent-enough job as a leader—that was more than what she could claim about anyone else—but to give her something to ease her bearings. Being a leader isn’t an easy task.
Exhaling sharply through her numbed nose, the large warrior carefully plopped herself down onto her haunches as she focused on the brown-haired molly with her usual steady, unwavering expression. It was normal for her to consist of such expressions, not wanting to prohibit herself as abhorrently out of line. In fairness, she respected the leader, and she hadn't wanted to show that in any other way. “I came in here to discuss with you about the state of our territory,” Bitterhive continued, her voice even and measured while carrying its usual bluntness. She let the words settle for a moment, as if testing their weight before continuing. "More specifically, the lack of it. But I am certain you already know that." She didn’t shift where she sat, her posture composed despite the undeniable tension that had been pressing down on the clan for more than a while with its broken hierarchy of leadership. RiverClan was scraping by with Lionsbeach and the more recently discovered Seagrass Fields, but for how long would those be suitable until they start declining on prey and herbs? She wasn’t one for dramatics or needless speculation; she dealt in reality and in what was happening right now. And right now, RiverClan’s claim was weaker than it had ever been. Especially after the recent events with Stormstar and the coyotes.
"I suggest that we need to start looking outward before circumstances force us to. I’m not suggesting we march into another clan’s land and stake a claim without cause; that would be reckless, especially with ThunderClan already having soured history with us, and our already fragile state. But we can’t keep waiting for a solution to present itself, either. What I’m suggesting is the idea of scouts." She flicked her tail, her voice steady but firm, laying out her thoughts as plainly as she saw them. "Perhaps you can send out small patrols, sent beyond our usual borders to survey any unclaimed land with little to no predators, areas with strong prey sources and herb stockages. Maybe any pieces of land that can hold the potential to act as temporary shelter if something were to happen to camp and we can’t be here for extended periods of time. We assess, we plan, and then we act accordingly. If nothing comes of it, we return with knowledge instead of desperation. Either way, we gain something." Bitterhive let a short silence follow, gauging Owlstar’s reaction to see what she thought. This wasn’t an emotional plea; it was a logical step forward, any sense of precaution before the clan suddenly found itself trapped in a corner. She didn’t doubt that others had noticed the problem, but noticing and doing were two very different things. "I’m not asking for immediate action; only that we prepare before we no longer have the choice. If we move first, we can control the outcome." She finished dryly, slowly dragging her tongue over a cold, scarred paw-pad while her dark gaze remained expectant. She had given her proposal. Now, it was Owlstar’s turn to speak.

Caveclaw made herself calm down a bit.
That cat had ticked her off a little, but she felt like that would be any sane cat's reaction.
Now to let Owlstar know.
"Owlstar?" She said to let the leader know of her arrival, before stepping inside "There was some... chaos in the clearing."
She paused before continuing. "Frostdawn threatened a kit, Redkit, then threatened to kill a clanmate who was in the medicine den, Ripplefur." They continued to explain "I exiled Frostdawn, and Rowanmane and Duskleaf are making sure he's gone."
She flicked her tail before adding one more thing, just a tiny note bugging the back of her mind. "Sorry for not waiting on you. The whole thing happened extremely fast."

The tom called into the leader's den. "Songwave has returned from being missing. He was captured by twolegs." The bengal rolled his eyes. They were so big and bumbling- how did the warrior get outsmarted by them? It mattered not, right now. He had escaped, and Sunheart believed his claims and his genuine concern for his family who still resided in RiverClan.
"I've brought him here with me. He'd like to come back- I believe him. What say you?"
