Rainpaw flinched at the sound of her name. She wasn't paying much attention to the meeting, caught up in her own world. New mentor? Oh. Was that why Hollowstep wasn't training her? He disappeared too, Rainpaw had assumed that the tom just didn't like her. She wasn't the same anymore. Not that she liked that but, she didn't know how to go back.
Stepping forward she forced a smile on her face. "Hi." Rainpaw greeted Cloversplash, her voice quiet. "I promise, I want to be trained, and I still want to be the best warrior in WindClan. So, I really do want to learn." The black furred molly promised, hopping she could learn something. Anything to keep her busy really. She wanted something to keep her mind off of everything it tried so hard to make her focus on.

Cloversplash touched her nose to her new apprentice's, giving a welcoming purr. "It's nice to see you're enthusiastic." she commented warmly, not a trace of sarcasm in her tone.
"We'll be starting bright and early tomorrow morning. Can't wait to see what you know so I can attest to your words!"

Rainpaw couldn't sleep. It was late, well past moon high, and yet she laid there. Her dull yellow eyes staring out the den entrance. She was so tired, yet her mind wouldn't let her sleep. She had tried, stars had she tried. However, every time she almost fell asleep she saw memories... memories that she didn't want to see. Rainpaw didn't want to forget Littlepaw but reliving his death was so painful...
Swallowing hard, she tore her gaze from the world outside the den and looked for something else to stare at. All her denmates were asleep, as they should be. Still sleep avoided her, running like a rabbit from a warrior. Her dry eyes, painfully dry eyes, found the soft body of Bunnypaw. She was her only friend now, the only one who didn't leave her. Even so, Rainpaw had not talked with her in over a moon. She wanted to say it was because she was training, but that would be a lie. Her mentor didn't even try to train her. No one was... she was just rotting away from the inside.
Fighting her protesting body, Rainpaw stood up and tenderly moved over to Bunnypaw. She hesitated, not wanting to disturb her friend. The night black apprentice already knew she was not happy and smiley like she used to be. Maybe she should just leave everyone alone. Faking it hurt so much... No... Swallowing again she finished moving towards the other young molly. "Bunnypaw..? Are you awake?" Rainpaw asked quietly, not sure if she wanted to just climb into her friends nest and try to sleep that way or give up and leave.

Bunnypaw had been sleeping gingerly in her nest when she heard Rainpaw speak she flickered her eyes open and glanced up at Rainpaw,” yeah...what’s up Rainpaw.” she meowed giving her friend a sleepy smile, she didn’t look to happy at that moment, but she wanted to comfort her if she was upset, or possibly distract her.

Squirreldash heard his name for being a mentor. Really him of all cats. The tom was glad though they weren't a newer apprentice as he really didn't like freshly made apprentices. They were still technically kits. The tom padded over to Toadpaw with a smile. A fake one at that. He wouldn't be a mean mentor. Well not completely.

"Hello Toadpaw. It looks like I'm to be your mentor, which should be the best experience as I'm a great warrior. After the meeting I would love to see how perfect you are.", he meowed. He hoped they were pergect just like him.

Rowanpaw tilted his head. Who? Was it a weirdo? He never heard of him. Well, whatever. He was an apprentice now, so he could do some stuff!

Cloverpaw squealed, grinning happily. "Wow! Peachfrost is our new medicine cat!" She was obviously looking like an total dork but she didn't exactly care. "Congratulations to the new apprenticesss!" She yowled, giving them cheers like an overexcited parent. She bounded up and down in her place, obviously unable to keep still. (OPEN)

The calico tom was roused from his half ass listening when he heard his name. His head shot back eyes wide and focused all of a sudden. The dull doughy look was gone for a moment. New mentor? What happened to Sealight? A pleasant smile fell onto his lips a moment later, eyebrows dropping into a placid position over his face once more. Needn’t worry about that anymore! Sealight was probably busy.

He took a stand and searched the ever growing crowd, eyes glinting with fickle excitement. There! What a fancy tom. That must be squirreldash. As the warrior toddled over to meet him standing in his glamorous light. “Oooh! Good. Sealight didn’t do much!” again the doughy nothingness filled his face. It wouldn’t take long for his new mentor to fully accept the grandeur of his... lack of brain activity.

Skyleaf smiled. Another apprentice! She went to touch noses with Foxpaw. "Well, hello, Foxpaw! Nice to meet you." she meowed.
