~ WOLFFANG ~

Wolffang nodded in response to his leader's first words, glad that they could agree on something. Yes, it was true that cats were most definitely not taking patrols seriously. He remembered the foul crow-food that Batscreech had spouted, and which still made his blood boil. He'd really like to punish her. Finchbreeze had been a lot nicer about it, but rules were rules, and late patrols had to face consequences. As Twilightstar began giving an idea for the punishment, though, he listened. And he actually liked what he heard.

A temporary exile, that wouldn't go on for too long, but it would be enough for the cat to rethink their life choices. If it happened again, the time was doubled, and a third time would leave them in exile. Sure, with the threat from ShadowClan, they needed as many warriors as they could. But at the same time, they had no use for warriors who were not up for providing for their Clan, who were unable to report in a patrol properly. Especially cats like Batscreech.

"That sounds like a good idea. I'll put this into effect when I send out the next patrols. Finchbreeze will still get the demoting punishment, as she did not know of these new consequences. Batscreech, however, could use some time outside of the Clan to rethink herself. When I confronted her about being late, she spat in my face and got all snobby. She could use a temporary exile, regardless if she knew about the consequences or not." Rage burned in Wolffang's eyes as he remembered the interaction with Batscreech, whose words had been beyond acceptable. At the same time, he had to be a more competent deputy and gain more respect from his Clanmates. He already knew the negative impression he had on them.

The talk turned to drills and such, and Wolffang listened to Twilightstar's input. She was right about Dawnstar and ShadowClan, as well as the WindClan warriors. Wolffang himself had wanted to fight ShadowClan and show to them that WindClan wasn't going to be pushed around. He'd have to get in some more fighting practice for himself, to make him a stronger cat. It would be good to take on Dawnstar at one point, and win, to prove to her that not all WindClan cats were weak and pathetic. Wolffang was building up his strength in case that happened.

Okay, so Twilightstar would be taking hold of the event. Wolffang kept his gaze neutral, but the tip of his tail twitched in annoyance. Yes, he knew by now that he wasn't respected by certain Clanmates right now, it didn't have to be rubbed in. He had to work harder for his position. And true, Twilightstar had been leader for a very long time. They would listen to her. "That makes sense. Our Clan needs it," Wolffang meowed respectfully.

Wolffang listened to Twilightstar continue talking. That was true as well. The dog attack had been a mess. He still hadn't seen his sister, even though he knew that she wasn't dead, which was worrying. They used to be so close, but ever since he'd become WindClan's deputy, he'd checked up on her less often and they hadn't been as close. It was great that at least he was recognized as a great fighter, being quite large and sturdy for a WindClan cat. He dipped his head in acknowledgement.

"Of course, Twilightstar. We'll make sure that every WindClanner knows the proper moves for defending against those badger-hearts in ShadowClan. I'm getting some fighting experience up myself so that I'll be stronger when the time arises." Wolffang had already been planning to have some training with other members of the Clan who were notoriously good fighters. It would also help a lot with the training, if he knew some extra skills and tricks. Wolffang wasn't a senior or anything; in fact, he was fairly young. Just a bit older than Ashfeather, who had somehow had her cursed offspring live long enough to become apprentice-aged. And ran away, but that was a different matter. The tom could do well to learn more from other members of the Clan before passing those skills down to the other cats in his Clan.

Silentstorm bowed her head in a laugh before speaking again. "Well, I should know that. As someone who lost her apprentice, I would be quite surprised to be called the nicest cat you know." She grinned and bowed her head respectfully again. "Elderflare, am I forever in your debt. Call on me in your time of need, and I shall appear." It was a silly sentence that she had made up on the fly, but never had anyone to tell it to. "So, Elder, how would you feel about a hunting lesson, say, tomorrow morning?" Teaching a hearing cat how to hunt deaf would be fun. Maybe she could put moss balls in his ears! The sun was nearly hidden below the horizon. "We should get going."

"Yeah..." He said with a yawn. "I'd love to. Where do we meet in the morning?" Elderflare asked. (Ok, is this going to transfer to the territory thread?) This will be great. I'll get to go hunting with my new friend, and learn a new lifestyle. Never hurts to try new things...except for love, because then It really hurts. Elderflare thought soundlessly.

Finally drawing close enough Crowtooth dropped his burden at the leaders paws sitting down with a thump as the mildly lazy tom took any and all opportunities to get off his paws grinning crookedly at the molly as he did.
"Yeah I wasnt aware of any locations in the tunnels that had groundhogs but this bold thing jumped me from nowhere so I suppose theyre down there somewhere. Ill go looking for them later, might take some effort to hunt them but its a good food source."
In his rasping he did not mention the ten minute long battle with the rodent trying to detach the furious thing from his face that basically amounted to a large amount of flailing and yelling on Crowtooths part until he got lucky. That incident would forever be hidden if the warrior had any say in the matter.

With the aforementioned piece of prey next to Twilightstar the skunk striped tom was forced to realise some flaws with his plan, the groundhog really was huge too big compared to molly.
"Uhhh yeah I see how that might go wrong.... I can help eat that if you want and Im sure theres some apprentice or kit with a bottomless stomach who will take whatevers left if we cant finish it. Honestly I didnt know these things got this big..."
Crowtooths tail waved behind him for a moment and his face contorted lightly as he couldnt figure out how to move on now or breach the subject of the tunnelling stuff without breaking the comfortable tone. You'd think for all the time he'd been alive the tom wouldve figured out how to interact socially but it was ever a continuous issue. So after a few moments of awkward silence he raspily drawled "So how have you been doing lately? Your kits giving you any issues?"
@Moonraven

Waving aside the small apology, Twilightstar chuckled to herself at how comfortable Crowtooth was with her. That probably had something to do with knowing him for so long, but the fact that he just plopped right down in her den like he belong there reminded her of Stagleech. Only he would have been in her nest or on top of her. It was refreshing having a cat not act overly cautions or respectful when it came to her.

She lowered her head to sniff at the groundhog as he regaled her with the ail on how he found it. Twilightstar should have known it would have come from the tunnels, it's where he spend most of his time. The groundhog smelt of musky dirt instead of the clean open air, Twilightstar didn't care all that much about where the prey came from so long as it was ediable. Relaxing her body, after nosing around, she took a bite out of the prey finding groundhog to be less chewie compared to rabbit.

"If you can locate where they're coming from, extra prey for the clan when our hunting patrols are slacking would be great." The she-cat commented while licking her maw. "Is hunting in the tunnels difficult, I imagine that it's a tad bit easier to hunt in the tunnels than the moor due to less space for the prey to run." Which may be good and bad, since tunnelers also had less space to move. Twilightstar nudged the groundhog, though the body didn't move, in Crowtooth's direction at his offer as she continued to take small bites out the prey.

"Well, the clan could be better, but I'm doing well. As for my kits, Lionkit and Beastkit are often well behaved. Lionkit is rather small and clumsy, but rather percietive when it came to cats and emotions. Beastkit's rather large, a little ramboutious when it comes to playing with his siblings. but truly he is the sweetest little furball. He's brighter than others thinking. Both seem to enjoy trailing after Leechkit, who is nothing like the tom he was named after. He's the biggest out of all the kits, he's unusually quick-witted, responsible, smart, and extremely prideful. Lionkit and Beastkit, I'm sure will have no problems fitting into the clan and making friends, Leechkit concerns me. He can be a bit of a smartass and incrediabily sharp tongued, outside of those he considers kin he's a terror when it comes to respect. I'm sure he'll cause me quite the bit of trouble as he get's older." Midnightkit has yet to make her debut.

"So tunnels," Twilightstar bounced from her kits to a more important topic with ease. Bussiness was business. "I'm not sure if you were aware, but Maplebird decided to leave WindClan for a bit, I'm not sure why or where she's gone, but with her departure you're once again the sole tunnler and I'd like to fix that. We need more cats for the rank and I'm certain more than enough apprentices and some warriors would be interested in helping you with the tunnels."

"I'm uncertain how I should go about finding you new trainess. I'd like to host an event that revovels around picking out tunnel trainess so you can at least teach them how to work in the tunnels. I'll help you as much as I can, but I'm not certain what you're looking for or how you'd like to go about picking out the new members." Twilightstar had no problem offering suggestions, but it's been a while since she's been in the tunnels so she'd leave most of the decision making up to him.

The last time she had attempted to speak with the leader, she had woken the lilac she-cat up, and that wasn't good, let alone respectful. This time, Silentstorm had waited until the sun had risen high in the sky, she had waited until she was certain Twilightstar wasn't busy. Of course, with her luck, the leader would probably in there eating, or something else she shouldn't intrude on. Perfect. She might as well give up and come back later with Ashnose again.

It wasn't as though Silentstorm didn't have a reason to be there. On the contrary, it would be quite the profit if it went smoothly. Two wins: become aquianted with the most influential cat in Windclan, find a way to best serve her clan. The Bengal took a determined step towards the den before stopping again. Maybe she should have brought Elderflare with her. He would have known what to say. -But no. It was too late for that. He was off hunting, and if she didn't get a move on soon, it would be leaf-bare before they started talking.

Eh, whatever. If it went wrong, it went wrong. Walking swiftly into the den, she threw her doubts out the door. "Twilightstar?" She kept her voice low, to try to prevent a further disaster. "May I talk with you?" I mean, it wasn't insanely important, she could always come back later if she had too.

Twilightstar was wide awake, strangely enough, with all that has been hassling WindClan, sleep was far from her mind, but she wasn't tired in the slightest. She's had her time away from the clan, now, it was time for her to do her best stepping up for clan once more. She had been grooming herself and thinking, so much as changed since she's stepped up as WindClan's leader. Not a lot of it was good, but they were standing together barely.

Her turned her head quite a bit to fix her single eye on the opening of her spacious den from her nest. Another visitor, she yawned, due to a bad habit rather than being tired, and parted her maw. "Silentstorm," it's been a while since since this warrior's visited, she didn't look all that distressed, more hesitant than anything. Twilightstar stood up, turning so that her back wasn't facing the cat. She beckoned the warrior to come sit closer with a large jerk of her tail before resting it on the ground beside her. "What can I do for you?"

@Moonraven

She was glad to see that Wolffang was in agreeance with her. Twilightstar naturally had her doubts, but she felt in the end that this would be good for the clan. WindClan wasn't in desperate need of warriors, what they needed were warriors who could handle the small tasks ask of them. Twilightstar, in her more youthful moons, had been one of the laziest if not the laziest cat in WindClan. Still, she made sure patrols she had been ordered on were done and occasionally took on extra hunting patrol or border patrol. It was stuff that was unrecognizable but she sure helped when needed.

"Patrols aren't meant to be hard or difficult, I don't understand why so many clanmates chose to make them so." Twilightstar hasn't had to deal with a mouthy clanmate in some time. The few moons that she served as deputy, aside from being attacked by a crazed clanmate, had been relatively... well she couldn't say simple Coldsong has been a pain but he hadn't really caused her any trouble until she took over for Brightstar. She wondered where that tom had gone, there were quite a few cats that Twilightstar certain missed who could have been a great asset in getting WindClan up and moving.

"If you'd like to toss out Batscreech for a time, you may do so, I'll trust your judgment. However, try not to make anything particularly personal," Wolffang was clearly very upset with how Batscreech treated him. "These punishments are for patrol leaders inability to report and finish their patrols, not for disrespecting the deputy." She did hope that Wolffang could differentiate between the two. "You're going to deal with disrespectful cats or cats who just don't like how your handling things. It's so very easy for cats to judge you when they haven't walked in your paw steps or understand how difficult carrying the weight of your rank is."

Every cat was a critic, Twilightstar was certain she had more than enough cats in WindClan who did not like how she was handling the ShadowClan matter. Yes, she knew there were some things that she could be doing better, but no cat was perfect."There are different punishments for disrespectful cats, helping the medicine cats obtain mousebile for tick season was one of the worst I had to deal with." That had been for being rude to her mentor though. It still made her a little sick thinking about it.

"That's good to hear, Wolffang. I'll call for and the rest of the clan when I'm ready to set up the training session." She was sure that Batglare would have some complaints about it, he was one of her moodiest senior warriors, but also one of her most helpful. Still, with this ShadowClan threat, he worried her here and there. WindClan needed to unite and everyone cat had a part to play in it, Batglare's never been much of a team player. Twilightstar was about to dismiss the tom, but one last thought bounced inside her head. "How's Rosebriar, I haven't seen her since the dog attack."

"Twi? I have some stuff to say about this recent gathering...You looked really good up there, except for one or two things. First, Publicly Exposing all their faults looked extremely desperate and I think Shadowclan thought so too, and Second, Leaving before Dawnstar had spoken, I know why you did it but it was disrespectful and may look cowardly in Shadowclan's eyes. Lastly, I sort of wanted to listen to Dawnstar's report, not because I sympathize, but all the yelling probably involved would have been hilarious." Elderflare said logically, hoping his leader would understand.
