Attentiveness had turned to concern at the mention of punishments- Elkbound was neither the patrol’s leader nor unable to find his companions, given how on top of it Wildclaw seemed to be, but the harshness was a very jarring thing to hear so suddenly.
Attempting to joke on it, the warrior nudged the molly’s shoulder as he broke out of his silence, following her to the entrance. “No pressure, huh?” His chuckle fell flat quickly, however, leaving the tom feeling awkward on top of newly & irrationally nervous about stricter clan protocols.

While the molly had remained unconscious for most of the middle duration, she had come to a little more clearly not long before movement could be sensed around the field. Though technically awake, aware was not as accurate of a description, with the cat barely thinking to check whether the new arrivals were friend or foe, seeming to favour slipping in and out of coherent thought until a voice rang not far from her ear.
The spotted cat didn’t move a muscle, too exhausted to fight back or meow pleasantries to a clanmate , and nearly fell back into emptiness when the touch of a paw and a subsequent clunk sent sudden, red-hot pain spasming down her haunches.
Yet all that the adjustment elicited was a low, defeated groan, Hawkflight’s eyes only fluttering as she curled deeper into herself. Inwardly, at least, the warrior was thinking again; thinking about why the cat who had just hurt her worse sounded exactly like Peachfrost. Eyelids creeping open, the molly’s brow furrowed as she realized that it… was the very same cat.
”Whyy… that hurt…” The white cat grunted softly, despite the other molly’s gentle tease explaining it thoroughly. It seemed that Hawkflight was still a tad slow on the uptake, though after instinctively curling her leg once more, her hazel eyes seemed to open much more rapidly.
”Mmf- nevermind, thank you.” The dreadful tone she had hadn’t disappeared, but the young cat seemed appropriately alert after realizing that the medicine cat had, in fact, made her aching legs feel marginally better. What an unexpected turn of events!

Rockkit had scratched her. Her face was bleeding.

The little bi-colour feline screamed at the top of her lungs in a mix of pain and anger. "OUCH. ROCKKIT HURT ME. HE HURT ME. I'M BLEEDING. I'M GONNA DIE I'M GONNA DIE!" the kit yowled, sobs wracking through her body, tears springing from her eyes. It was small but it hurt like heck. It hurt it hurt it hurt! Hawkkit looked at the tom with a feared look in her eyes. "S-sorry ... I shouldn't of done that I- was just playing, but you didn't have to HURT ME" she whisper-yelled, whimpering and whining as bright red blood started to seep and stain her dusty white fur. Ow ow ow. It really really hurt. "I didn't even play bite that hard. It shouldn't of hurt, Rockkit. It was only a small nip, and it would feel like a poke. Stay away from me" she cried softly, red tainting her right eye. Must of been carried by the tears. The little molly shook her head before standing there, staring at him and wailing quietly.

hearing his name being called for a patrol, cedarbuzz stood up and walked over to his forming group. the mention of the punishment made him wince - seven sunrises? he hoped nobody would end up being punished.

Ashnose followed dutifully. She was thankful she wasn't on the patrol that was going to the ShadowClan border; she would be afraid they would hurt her.

The tabby tom's eyes widened oh no oh no oh no, what have I done? I didn't mean to, oh starclan I'm so dead "N-no I'm sorry I didn't mean to, you just caught me off guard I'm so sorry". His breathing picked up in pace as he stared down at her "uhh here let me" He lapped at the wound in an attempt to clean it before searching for a broad blade of grass or something to at least cover it. He remembered something about cobwebs from his time chilling near and in the medicine cat den, but he couldn't steal any, then he'd be in even more trouble. He finally found a piece of grass that would at least cover the entire wound. He picked it with his teeth then placed it on her cheek before using a paw to press it against the small scratch, her tears mixed with the little bit of blood and now Rockkit's spit helped the grass stick and stay sort of in place "there now at least ya can't even tell!" He said, proud of his coverup.

"Yes, nice story is good. What's it about?" Now he sounded like he was copying Lionkit again, but hopefully no one would point it out. He loved stories, maybe not as much as Lionkit, but they were still good. Especially when Windclan won. And Windclan always won in his mind. He smiled a little, just long enough for him to know it was real. Leechkit was the best big brother. Even though he acted like a grumpy elder, he defended them from their blunders and helped them out in any way he needed. At least, that was how Beastkit saw it.

What did that mean? He didn't understand what the Old fire cat meant, so he followed Leechkits lead, turning away. He wasn't being mean, was he? Beastkit hadn't meant to snap at the orange tom. It just happened. As Leechkit explained what a subject change was, he categorized the information in his head. A subject change was a change in subject- whatever that was. He wouldn't get anywhere from asking again, so he just nodded as if he understood, though the confused look in his eyes might give him away.

What was Lionkit doing? Was she batting a fly or trying to stop Other Friend from leaving or something else entirely? It was quite sttrannge to see his sisterliftinng a paw into such an odd position. Beastkit attempted to copy her and waggled a paw in the air in Snoowypaws direction. Oh, he got it now. It was waving! The brown tom wiggled his paw with more enthusiasm and fell down with a Bump! Scrambling to his feet, he turned back to Leechkit and Tawnypaw, padding closer to the pair.

So, now there were new cats. Darksomething-another. Eh, it didn't really matter if he got them wrong as long as he understood who it was. Friend three was easier, or was it friend four? Numbers never quite worked out in his head, but Darksomething wouldn't be too forgettable. Hopefully. His memory wasn't that sharp either.

Backing away from Darksomething he caught the look of something he didn't quite understand cross Leechkits face. Was it worry, confusion? It seemed to pair with his talk of fear, which he must have heard somewhere, because it still wasn't quite like how Beastkit would think. Old fire cat really got him thinking apparently. Leaning closer to his brother, in a low voice he meoewd, "Of course, you're an exception. You don't have to be afraid. We'll be afraid for you."

Beastkit stared as Leechkit asked the new cat for her name. Was he being... polite? What disastrous event had occurred to cause this? He looked to Lionkit for help, but she had already been distracted by the talk of feathers. Feathers? "Yes, yes! Let's put feathers, uh," he paused for a moment, "where are we supposed to put feathers?" All he knew was that they could give them to Mother and Ashfeather. Ashfeather would like them, but he wasn't sure about Mother. "We could show them to the other kits to say how we went on an adventure!" That was what Leechkit had just said, wasn't it. Oh, brother.

Beastkit watched Lionkit waddle toward the prey-pile and tug at a wing. He would help if she needed it, but she seemed to be doing fine. As Lionkit tumbled back with her prize, the brown tom leaped forward. "Look out!" The pile was tilting dangerously as a result of her taking a piece from the bottom. As a few pieces of prey landed with a thump over his sister. He bolted toward it, tripping clumsily over his paws. "Lionkit, stop screaming, we'll get you out." He latched on to a small mouse and pulled it off of her before turning to Leechkit for help with the rest.

It hadn't even occurred to him yet that he was now eligible for patrols so hearing Wolffang call his newly changed name caused him quite the shock. The twisting of his gut wasn't the worst it had been, but it was still there as he stood to follow his mentor. The albino tom kept his head held low as he approached the group, sticking close to Swiftwind.

He was still freaking out about ShadowClan, he had been worrying about it since the gathering. Going anywhere near that border was not something he wanted to do.
