Hey Snowstorm! This is my mother, Quailheart. She adopted me after.. Her gaze went dark as she recalled the last time she saw her parents. They had promised to return. They never did. Anyways! She shook her head. Could you teach me how to hunt and fight? Or maybe I should show you how to hunt and fight better! I’m gonna be the BEST warrior in this clan! She squeaked, bouncing around in excitement.

Quailheart smiled politely at Snowstorm.
"Yes, I adopted Poppykit, Wispkit, and Dustykit. They were abandoned and not in very good shape. They're mine and my mate Mapledusk's now." If only he were here right now. Anxiety sparked in her chest. She knew Wispkit was sick, but... was she going to die?
The little she-cat was always smaller, sicker, and weaker than the rest of her siblings. This made Quailheart's breath catch.
She just wanted to see her kits grow into warriors. She didn't want to lose little Wispkit now, she'd just saved her and her littermates!
The white-and-brown molly couldn't bear the thought of losing her. She knew the possiblilites, the risks, of adopting. But still... Starclan couldn't take Wispkit now, they just couldn't! She was only two moons old, maybe three! Her anxiety was flaring up again. "Snowstorm." She said quietly, "Wispkit's really bad right now." Wispkit's health complications weren't forgotten- not really. Cats knew about it... maybe someone- anyone- could help her? She couldn't lose her little daughter, she just couldn't! "Should I get Lightningstorm?" her mew trembled as she spoke the words. What would become of poor, sikly little Wispkit? She never did anything wrong, she couldn't die yet!

Quailheart nosed Poppykit from the nest. "Alright, run along!" she said with a forced purr, and nodded to Dustykit. "I'll be outside, let me know if Wispkit gets any worse." She murmured to the drowsy tomkit before leading Poppykit from the nursery.
The molly motioned to a shiny beetle with one forepaw. "Alright, Poppy, show me your hunting crouch!" she said eagerly, "I'll fix any problems with your form."

Poppykit fell into a hunters crouch, though messed up on much of it, putting too much weight one way or the other and flicking her tail side to side. She seemed doubtful. I know.. it’s wrong. Her ears were perked but she gaze was at her paws before trotting out of the den, heading towards the clearing.

Quailheart pressed her body against Dustykit, who fell asleep rather quickly. "Dustykit, do you feel alright? Did you catch Wispkit's sickness?" She asked quietly, before turning to Poppykit, and shifting her position so her whole body was even, and her tail was straight out and motionless behind her. She knew how exhausting it could be for a young kit's muscles, but it would wear her out and only make her stronger. "There. I know it will be strange, but try to walk."
(May not be active again until 6:45am EST tomorrow!)
