Bluekit turned around and padded to the nursery, looking back again to look at the body. He looked away and enetered the nursery.

Lioneye tried to think of a good story, one that wouldn't scare the kit. Then they thought of one. "How about I tell you about the time I became an apprentice?" Lioneye asked Bluekit.

Lioneye smirked as they began to remember the funny story. "So I was an older kit then, more like 7 moons then 6, and my 2 sisters had been apprenticed already. I was waiting under Highrock for the clan leader to call me up. Then a bee landed on my nose. I began to freak out. I sneezed at first, then when that didn't work, I began to run in circles trying to get the bee off me. The clan leader was staring at me like I'd gone mad. Aparanetly they couldn't see the bee. But after a second longer, I looked at the bee again, and my stomach dropped. It was not a bee, only a yellow and black striped leaf. I was so embarrased. The clan leader probably thought I was paying with the leaf like a kit still! I never told them I thought it was a bee because that would have been more embarrasing. Whatever the clan leader thought, they didn't show anything, because they made me an apprentice anyway. Their apprentice actually. Yep, the clan leader made me their apprentice. Probably because of how I acted with the leaf and all. I never knew though because they didn't tell me. And thats the story of my apprentice ceremony." Lioneye concluded.

Bluekit curled up in his nest, his tail curled around him. Soon, he was breathing deeply with sleep.
