Thorn'claw tsked his tongue. This clan was a disaster and the leader was a sensitive maggot, what good did killing eagle'claw bring anyway? He didn't really feel sympathy for anyone, but it did feel unfair for Eagle'claw. Shaking his head he stood up and considered leaving.

Wolfstreak let out a low growl in hatred to Dawnstar, then looked at his mate. "Why does she think she can jsut DO that!" He mewed softly to her.

"I'm Scared, but we can't move, it's too close to me kitting." she said, and looked at her belly, "We can't harm the kits, unless you found a cave that we could sleep in..... when and then......" she murmered "No." she shook her head "We can't." Or could we?

Brambleleaf - Open

From the back of the crowd, Brambleleaf stood to his feet with the death of his clan mate becoming a public affair. The entire mood of the clan had turned sour. This is absurd. The tom had been a warrior for such a short time now and was confused with the mentor slip-ups. However, if Dawnstar thought that apprentices could handle themselves then he had to agree. The young tom, although wanting to volunteer, maintained his silence and watched as the clan around him slowly fell apart.

Wolfstreak growled. "I would protect you, and I'd rather be a loner then live in a clan run by a murderer!" He spat the end of that.

Sunlight looked up at Dawnstar "I'm not sure either, but it's close to my kitting, we should wait," she mewed, and whispered "We could make our own clan, out on the outskirts, we could stay away from these murderers." and then she looked away "Nevermind."

Hazepaw dragged herself out of the apprentice's den tiredly. She had missed most of the leader's announcements, but she didn't really mind all that much. She figured she was nearly ready for her assessment to become a warrior, even though she'd barely had any training. She was well above the other apprentices and many of the warriors in her fighting skills. Her hunting could use some improvement, but that was one thing her mentor had managed to do some good with.

She slunk through the crows, red fur brushing lightly against the other cat. She stopped by another cat but didn't pay them much attention. Instead, she crouched and narrowed her eyes up at Dawnstar. Something about apprentices learning in a group? She eyes a couple of cats squabbling about something or another with vague interest. Didn't they know all they were doing was irritating Dawnstar? She snorted in distaste and backed up a little as Icepaw shot by her, heading for the forest. Were they really just going to let the other apprentice go like that? Perhaps. If she quit so easily, there was no need for her.

She turned back in time to see Dawnstar lunge at the loud warrior who was openly challenging the large molly. Hazepaw didn't react except with a blink as Dawnstar killed th cat. She shook her head, wrinkling her nose and turned the other way, noticing Fallenheart beside looking rather upset. She snorted softly. "Queasy or something?" she asked gruffly. "It's not like it was unexpected." She didn't mind the death whatsoever. The cat was annoying anyways. Good riddance if you asked her. Haze would become a warrior soon anyways, and make up for the lost of that dea warrior and more.

The ghost tabby shot a pained look at the apprentice. "Not at all," he rebuked. The sudden splattering of blood caught him off guard; that's what he told himself though not entirely true. Fallenheart despised the dark liquid. It reminded him all too well that he was a dispensable feline, and that he could plunge his claws just as easily into any unsuspecting cat.

No matter what happened in this twisted clan of his, he wasn't leaving. Not even if he ended up restricted to the nursery for some foolish reason, or if his corrupted superior wished to use him as hound bait. He'd lived in the shadows for all his life and gone through three highly contrasting leaders. To put it simply, he planned on staying until eldership, or at least, as long as possible.

"Why ask? Do you feel queasy yourself?" Fallenheart challenged while still managing to sound amiable. Really, the apprentice should know to mind her own business. He might be outwardly friendly, especially compared to certain shadowcats, but the ghost tabby still knew how to channel his inner shade whenever necessary.

"I'd love that!" Wolfstreak agreed. "But I think we should go before you kit. I don't want our kits to even be born in this horrid clan!"
